Charlie’s Buns N’ Stuff

Really small place, but modern and clean. We were looking for a new place to try and saw great Unilocal reviews. It was all that and more!
I had the chicken chipotle cheesesteak with fries and he had the beef chipotle with tots. Both sammys were beautiful masterpieces! I usually don’t care for cheesesteaks, but wow, these were amazing.
The rolls were lightly grilled and when you took a bite into it, it was perfectly crunchy on the outside and warm and soft in the inside. A perfect compliment to the juicy, smoky chipotle sauce that was on the chicken. The chicken was moist and tender and delicious. Finished off with the usual onions and peppers, this cheesesteak is a must try!
Unfortunately, the place is closing its doors on Wednesday! Not enough business, which is sad. They’ve only been here for 6 months, not really long enough to give it a real go, but, you gotta do what you gotta do. So glad I made the trip in!

Hella hungry on this sunday windy afternoon here in white center I was browsing Unilocal with my cousin to see «what’s near me». Charlie’s buns n stuff was on the list so we decided to give it a go. I opt for the Chipotle cheesesteak and beer battered onion wings. It was pretty good, the chipotle sauce was subtle on the sandwich but the jalapeños gave it a kick. Definitely not your typical cheesesteak– you know the one with all that melted cheese oozing out of your sandwich and on every bite, but it was decent. Get the onion rings, those were soooooo good. Definitely can see it getting packed in here on a good day. There were only a handful of tables (2seats) so prepare to order for take out if you don’t want to brace the crowd.

This place does not skimp you at all! Everything i’ve tried is delicious! Friendly service, large portions, delicious food. This is the one place that could be giving Zippys a run for their money.

I’m loving this place first Time here but I’m in love lol I can say it’s something different then your average fast food and it’s not a long wait either my kids loved it which is great we never agree on food lol plus order on the app and they deliver that’s a plus

Went here with my sister, was pretty slow for lunch time. But the ladies were very helpful and the place looked really clean! :) will be back!

We live nearby and love trying new local places. Extremely disappointed and will not return.
1. No American or cheez whiz? Then you probably shouldn’t sell cheesesteaks
2. Chicken chipotle cheesesteak: super salty, chicken unrecognizable as meat. so much spicey mayonnaise that we couldn’t taste anything else. Two bites and in the garbage.
3. Steak cheesesteak: dry, burnt in places, no flavor.
4. Sweet potato tots and onions rings: right from the freezer in the dryer and tots were under cooked. Both went in garbage.
5. Cheeseburger: Frozen patty burnt on one side. Wouldn’t even feed to my dogs. There should be a disclaimer if you aren’t using real beef.
Employees were super friendly and nice which is appreciated!
Back to Zippys we go and $ 34 we will never get back!

This place was great! The chipotle cheesesteak was delicious (and spicy!), made with quality ingredients, and just the right size. The service was quick and friendly, and I just had lunch there but I am already craving another sandwich! Will definitely be back.

I love this place I love me some spicy food. And the Chipotle cheesesteak was amazing. Oh and their burgers (that I haven’t tried yet) are all organic. So glad I spotted you guys. Don’t come on Monday because they are closed, Or after 7 in the winter. Amazing cheesesteaks though.

When I heard about Charlie’s Buns N’ Stuff I was really excited – two of my all-​time favorite cheesesteak places (Philly Boys downtown, and Pica in West Seattle) had recently closed, leaving a vacuum of good cheesesteak places in my area. I was hoping Charlie’s could fill the void; supposedly, Charlie’s offers an «unparalleled cheesesteak experience.» Sounded promising.
Going in, I assumed they would have a true classic Philly cheesesteak on the menu, complete with cheese whiz or at the very least American cheese. Unfortunately, their «cheesesteak» comes with provolone cheese – a huge disappointment. When I asked about what other types of cheese they had, they only had cheddar, swiss, and pepperjack in addition to the provolone. I still went ahead and ordered one with onion and mushroom, but told them to just leave off the cheese (I would just add my own American at home). After getting it home and doctoring it up, I wasn’t too thrilled. The quality of the meat was good, but there wasn’t as much of it as I’ve gotten on cheesesteaks from other places, and it was a bit on the dry and bland side. It wasn’t terrible, but it was far from the best I’ve had. Their tater tots were average as well, but I guess I wasn’t exactly expecting much on that front.
Maybe their other menu items are worth a shot in the future, but this isn’t going to be my replacement go-​to cheesesteak place. I think it would benefit them to offer American cheese. Even though their schtick is organic, fresh fare, I know of some good organic American cheese out there. That way it’d at least be closer to a true cheesesteak experience.

Great burger! I had the pepperjack burger, the jalapeños were locked in under the cheese! The tots were perfect, crispy outside warm inside. Have to go back for a cheesesteak and the onion ring burger.

We had the regular cheesesteak the chipotle cheesesteak and some onion rings. It was good. The chipotle is pretty spicy but I like it:) So happy for another new restaurant in White Center!

I tried the chipotle cheesesteak with onion rings and chipotle mayo to dip (which the owner makes herself). The cheesesteak was amazing. Had great spice flavor! Good size jalapeños and very fresh! Great size with lots of meat! And yum the bun was perfect! The onion rings were not my favorite but super good and crispy! The chipotle mayo was just the right amount of heat (well if you like to taste the heat).
They have a good, small menu. With you probably guessed burgers and cheesesteaks. Also have sides such as fries, tater tots and sweet potato tots! They even have a kids menu!!!
Beer and wine are coming soon.
This is more of a grab and go place then a sit down and eat. They only have a small amount of seating.
This is a great addition to white center!!!
