A few highs in a basket of lows. The burger was cooked perfect, the buns are light and fluffy. Mine was so juicy it slid around in the bun and it was a Huge mess right from the beginning. I’m not a fan of adulterated mayonnaise, my tongue was still burning when I got home, yuck. The thing that’ll keep me from coming back are the fries. They’re frozen and covered in potato starch.

Best burger place in Seattle! It’s such a cute little burger joint that’s not far from me. They have a great selection of burgers and are reasonably priced. They do serve beer too. The people who work there are super friendly. I ordered the grilled onion burger with a side of fries and it was so delicious. I would definitely recommend Coastline to anyone who is looking for a good burger and beer. Every hour is like rush hour.

I love Coastline burgers! They can get crowded and are obviously popular, so don’t be dissuaded by the 3.5 star rating. I definitely think that they are under-hyped while other local burger joins tend to be a little overrated. I prefer my fries to be a little bit thicker, but these have just the right amount of crunch and chewiness. The burgers are a little on the smaller side, but I’m a light eater so I actually prefer that. Overall they have a great menu with a variety of great combinations, and I love their big selection of warm toppings, such as their nicely roasted peppers and caramelized onions. The delicious cookies were an extra little unexpected perk!

I thought this place was great, I ordered the classic burger with fries, overall delicious and I’ll be back. One thing I didn’t know was how many craft beers they had on draft. I was impressed that a small local burger joint would have 6 craft brews + 2 craft root beers. Good stuff, friendly staff

I was really really really(did I say really) hoping that this place would have a great burger. I live close enough to walk and like to support local businesses. I stopped in on a whim, and the place was hoppin’. Lots of people eating and the line moved really quickly. They’ve got a cool menu boar and it was easy to pick out what I wanted. The quality of the food was really very high, but the taste was kind of meh. I appreciate quality ingredients and all natural blah blah blah, but it needs to be tasty and mine just wasn’t this trip. I will try again. The service, seating, response time and everything was great.

By far my favorite Burger Joint in West Seattle. Coastline has a great selection of burgers that can come in either beef or chicken. My personal favorite being The Deluxe or Chicken Club. Everything is made fresh to order and not enough good things can be said about their homemade buns. The shoestring fries are delicious and a generous amount is given when ordered! They also have milkshakes and freshly made onion rings on the menu. Coastline also features local beer on tap that can be the perfect companion to any of their meals! Finally they sell some of the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever tasted. So if you are in the Junction Area of West Seattle and are up for a good burger in a convenient location(and free parking!) as well as great quality, definitely check out Coastline! My family and I will be back!

Update: I sent a note via Facebook to Coastline about our experience. They replied really fast and offered to give us a new meal and let them know when we would be back. We’ve returned a few times. It’s pretty packed most of the time. Thanks for the great customer service! I’m changing my rating based on the recent experiences I’ve had. Original post; The Food is good quality. However, today we asked for our meal to go. We wanted a kids burger(plain, no cheese, just ketchup). When we got home, there was American cheese on both sides… My very picky child would not eat it! I need to complain to the store… We are disappointed and she only had the fries

For the price, it wasn’t worth the burger. I got the grilled onion burger… it was smaller than expected and it was way too salty. Customer service was good though.

We walked in while suffering from a bout of indecision. The young staff behind the counter greet guests and take your order with cheer. There’s only a few tables inside and a few more outside but that was more than sufficient when we went. I wanted a boring special with only lettuce and tomatoes, he had a shroom & swiss and we split an order of fries. Coastline serves my all-time favorite cut of fries which completely overshadows the sandwiches(probably just me) even with the promise of a house-made bun. They form the patties McDonald’s-thin but that’s not meant as an insult, just how they do it and the taste is quite pleasing, if dry. Those seeking a steak-proportioned burger, go to Jak’s or Circa! I can see why people might be put off by this little burger shack because there isn’t a whole lot to distinguish them from the storm of other places that serve great sandwiches and offer a more varied menu. Seems like people need a gimmick to fasten on a good review. I admit there’s nothing here to blow you away, but they pack all the ingredients here for a perfectly sound and tasty meal! I’ll be back just for the fries alone!

These guys are really good! Fresh baked buns and fresh meat, fresh fixin’s. Giving an extra star because they deserve it. Can’t believe the negative reviews here. I am not a fan of the onion rings so I order the fries. Plus, I would give them my business any day since they are local and the quality is eons better than the fast-food garbage that is the alternative. Love the B&B and the PBJ burger. Fries are the shoestring, which I prefer, and the portions are generous. I enjoy they have beer which I will often get with my burger. Plus, now I hear they have tater tots. Another star… Coastline, see you again soon!

Burgers were good. Gluten free buns only a dollar extra. Shoestring fries were great. Enjoyed a small can of Rainier for $ 2.50. Only thing that wasn’t good was the onion ring batter: It didn’t stick to the onions and didn’t taste good either.

I’ve eaten at coastline a couple times now and after seeing they had only 3.5 stars on Unilocal!I had to make sure I gave a shout-out to this cozy little burger joint. Not only is this place super clean, they have awesome burgers, cookies and shakes and everything– with the exception of the ketchup and mustard– is made from scratch ~ Including their delicious brioche buns! Today we had the Classic cheeseburger and the Shroom and Swiss(I added caramelized onion). Both burgers were great– very juicy and delicious. What’s even better are their onion rings!!! It seems like some other people have complained that some of the batter falls off them or whatever– All I have to say to that is shut your face! The onion rings are totally legit and falling apart or not, they alone are worth the trip! (By the time I thought to take a photo of our meals, we’d already inhaled our meals) Also worth mentioning, the awesome alternative music playing casually in the background– classic Nirvana, Pearl Jam, etc. Very relaxing, chill, and family friendly. The service was great too, the guy working the register brought us our meals and even went back to get us some extra mayo(I love mayonnaise). Now, it seems like some people in Seattle have an aversion to «expensive» gourmet burgers, but coming from LA, these burgers are not only inexpensive they’re very good. Is this place Salty’s, or a bougie sit down and order place? No. It’s more of a clean, modern burger stand with a dine-in area– for what this place is– it’s 5 stars. Totally legit.

Nothing special. Not particularly good, not particularly bad. *Yawn.* I ordered the Deluxe with fries. The fries were pretty good! I enjoyed those. Especially with tartar sauce. They apparently use grass-fed beef. That’s a plus. My burger was cooked medium. Another plus! But the patty was sooo thin! I could barely get a real taste of the meat. The buns were just OK. I like that they are made in-house but they’re nothing special really. Tomatoes were bland. The special sauce was alright. I’m using a lot of mediocre words aren’t I? That’s because my overall experience was just that — mediocre. By the end of our meal, we had a BYEFELICIA moment. Just wanted to get outta there… we trashed our scraps and skedaddled! Would I return? I’m not really 100% certain. I think Coastline is a lot better than Bluemoon on Alki or Zippy’s(bleh!). Yet, I prefer Uneeda over Coastline. Much better value in my opinion! And I definitely, 50 times over, prefer 8oz Burgers over Coastline… so hopefully that scale is somewhat helpful. I’d draw it out for you but #onlygotghettoMSpaintonthisPC. In summary: Coastline burgers = just OK. Coastline fries = good! Everything else = forgettable.

Hit up the Coastline for a burger today and must admit it was just OK. The burger was OK and it’s not nothing I’d recommend or ever come back to again. But I’m not gonna say it was bad however a Quarter Pounder with Cheese would have more taste and half the price. Keep in mind if your looking for a brew & burger this maybe the place your looking for in West Seattle. Many beers on tap and Rainer in the can so you have choices. Onion rings were tasty but batter falls off when you go to dip in tarter sauce… Burger bun is a fresh made it but the burger meat didn’t have much taste or was juicy. From my point of view when I drop $ 13 I want a rock star OMG burger and I didn’t get it.

A great concept – limited menu burger joint with indoor and outdoor seating – that fails in practice. Burgers are OK, but nothing special. Onion rings are atrocious – they fall apart and seem to be using the wrong oil, seasoning, and breading. Rojo burger and chicken burger seemed much better on the menu than in practice. Bottles of ginger beer are a nice touch, but cannot redeem this place. Needs larger menu, higher quality food, less greasy burgers(even at a higher price point). Will not return until this is the case.

Trickster IPA and Mexican Coke were a good way to start. Got the Deluxe with Bacon. I really liked it. Patty probably a bit over cooked but still enjoyable. Nice bun and sauce. Not a fan of the shoestring fries. Cold by the time they got to the table. But, I did like the onion rings. Others got Shroom and Swiss and Classic burgers. All were happy and satisfied. Limited seating is an issue. Some parking is available. Service is pleasant. Orders take a bit longer than you might expect.

My favorite dish of all time is a bacon cheese burger and fries! I finally made it to Coastline, our newest burger joint in West Seattle. I ordered a deluxe and added caramelized onions and bacon and fries. There is only one size of fries and they are big enough to share for two. The damage was $ 12 and change, not bad. I did not order a drink. They have good beer on tap, but it was to early in the day to partake in one. The burger was ok, nothing about it stood out. The meat was lacking flavor and seasoning. The bacon was average and the Caramelized onions were not spectacular. The bun was fresh and quickly soaked up all the grease. The grease dripped onto the tray with every bite. Very messy! The shoestring fries were good and on the salty side. If you’re not a big fan of overly salty fries, I would suggest tell them to hold the salt. Good for kids, limited seating, clean inside and friendly staff on my visit. Overall, this place was ok. I will have to try again before I recommend. The Swinery remains my favorite burger in West Seattle. Zippy’s is a close second.

It’s hard when Zippy’s burgers is in town/know what I mean? Coastline offers up a bunch of fancy offerings on a big flat screen(which seems odd). But I’m not sure fancying things up necessarily makes a better burger. I got the PB&J– because I actually love peanut butter on a burger– and it’s not often you find that offering. Here’s the deal though– my burger was actually cold when I got it. I mean, it had been sitting for a minute or something… It was cooked, but cold. And hey, I like pepper jelly, but it felt just like a distraction on this burger. The bun was really good– wasn’t too thick, even though it looked thick– it’s a nice squishy brioche. But look– I make a burger out of grass– fed beef, I guarantee you are going to taste the star of the show, the beef! This just felt all dressed up with no where to go. The onion rings were decent, but not great– they were also a tad on the cold side. Guess what else was cold? The inside of the place? I was freezing the whole time I was there– I mean dang, there’s gotta be some heat coming out of the kitchen, or else get a space heater. Since there is a Zippys in town, there is no reason I’ll ever have to come back here– man… I miss shoofly.

I’ve always been a fan of a good burger, so when I heard about Coastline opening in West Seattle, I decided to check them out. Unfortunately, I was bit underwhelmed. They offer 8 different burgers and you can substitute chicken or a veggie patty instead of a beef burger($ 1 more for veggie patty). I decided on the Grilled Onion Burger with Onion Rings and house-made tartar on the side. The burger was cooked well and had a decent but not outstanding taste. The beef seemed under-seasoned. The patty itself was somewhat mis-shapen and seemed to be just a bit too small for the bun. The grilled onions were quite caramelized though and good. The bun was fresh but seemed to be slowly falling apart as I ate. I think they need to switch to a bun with a bit more ‘integrity’. The taste of the onion rings was fine but they were a bit on the oily side and the batter/coating on the rings seemed to fall off too easily. Trying to dip the rings in the tartar sauce was challenging. The tartar sauce is good, but very thick. So trying to get some tartar on your ring means leaving most of the batter on the ring behind. Even if you forego dip, the batter on the rings wants to start falling off the moment you take a bite. They have 8 taps with wine and craft beer, which is nice for those who enjoy a beer or glass of wine with their burger. They also have sodas, of course, and plan to start offering shakes soon but had none available when I was there. My burger, rings and beer order came to just over $ 18 including tax. For a place that pretty much only does burgers, I expected a bit more. They are new, however, so I’ll give them some time to digest the feedback and see if they make any changes/improvements. I’ll probably try them again in a month or so.

We were so excited when we heard that there was a new burger place opening a block from our house! We stopped by for lunch on New Years day, the first official opening day. My husband got the B&B and I got the Swiss and mushrooms burger, and we got a side of onion rings. My husband really liked his burger, it was cooked perfectly(medium) and was well composed according to him. My burger was ok, my burger was too well done, but the bun was amazing and the best part of the burger. We both agree that the size of the burger patty was a bit lacking. We really liked the onion rings, they were lightly battered and delicious! The portion was small, not enough for sharing so order your own. :) We’ll definitely come back to support the business. I hope they take into consideration customers reviews because I’d really like for them to survive in our neighborhood. If they’re looking to expand their menu, I suggest chicken wings! I’d be there at least three times a week!
