Had a 10 am appt. was guaranteed priority with an appointment to get emission repairs done. 200 pm all that was done was diagnosis and oil. wanted the coupon spark plug special but was estimated 100 dollars more. their coupons or ads online are meaningless — made to bring you in — like a used car dealer. they spent a lot of time to find other repairs than what i requested to a tune of $ 1800. REALLY?
only gave one star due to guys were nice. should be zero now! ofcourse nothing will happen internally from this but hopefully consumers will think twice about getting service at elliots.
Whooops. they didnt change my oil… 4 hours to get diagnosed… so the charge was 103+. I needed to add more services to surpass $ 150 to get a waiver to pass emissions. they added 47 dollars to get me to the $ 150. I ask them if they could charge me for the spark plugs to apply the $ 47 to the tune up but NO. apparently that was toooo hard for them to figure out, enough so i left. their excuse was the 69 dollar coupon was for basic spark plugs and not the ones ford recommended. wow.
funny thing today. went to pep boys. they changed my plugs for and told me that most plugs you can get from the auto part stores will work. what was elliott trying to tell or sell me? again. wow.
so tonight i will write a letter to the emission check program to question the practice of elliots waiver approvals.

Wow. So, I’m really talented and at the very end of a busy day running errands and about 3 hours before I had to go to my night shift, I managed to gouge my front right tire sidewall on a curb.
Not wanting to drive at night on the highway with a potential blowout situation, I drove over to Elliott Tire and Service, which luckily for me was down the street from where the «incident» occurred.
As a walk-​in, I never expect super prompt service at a car service place. However, I got AMAZING customer service and was in and out in under an hour with a new tire (that matched my current tires) + sales tax, etc. for $ 138 bucks.
Mario greeted me right away, came outside and assessed the damaged, checked both in the computer and by physically looking in inventory that they had my tire in stock, drew up a quote, and after I mentioned my evening shift I needed to get to – assured me I’d be on my way before I had to go to work. And actually, he did one better and got me outta there with my new tire installed in UNDER AN HOUR all while managing the front desk and other customers. Granted — if they hadn’t had an open bay in the garage just when I needed it, it may have took longer. That being said, they were on top of it and there was no fussing about. They even took a look at and cleaned my wheel well/​schmucked-​up rim.
So pleased to have this place in my new neighborhood, wish I had of known about them when I got my brakes replaced this summer. Won’t be taking my car anywhere else.
Prompt, professional, reasonably priced.

Can’t give zero stars. Switched price after analysis if work not done there. I get work done. Poor customer relations and poor pricing model. Terrible experience. Reporting to the state.
**added 10÷10÷15. To be clear, I’m not upset about what the repairs are or frustrated with the state process. I’m unsatisfied with your company Because I was told a price was $Xx.xx for the analysis and then when I decided against getting all of the repairs at your store, the price instantly rose without explanation that was happening.
As a side note, several of the recommended repairs were not required and are as I am told typically written not out of necessity but convenience to the repair shop man. So because it was usual or convenient, it became required. Not because it was required for functionality or operation or passing of the emissions test. To me, that is bad business practice – very unprofessional.

These guys are awesome! I went to toms auto across the street on a recommendation where the front desk lady was 400% rude to me and the quote for even just examining my car was like $ 385. Say no to toms and YES to Elliotts. I got a super fair price for all of the crazy work my 2004 mustang needed and they’re very up front about how much you will be paying, no surprises. Additionally they are really great about time estimates. If your car needs a ton of work you can’t expect it to be done in 20 mins. There is no ‘amazon prime’ of the auto repair world.
Service and money aside– I love that this crew is so friendly and makes you feel welcome every time you come through the door.

Would not take my car here. I called for a price quote they told me a fuel pump for my van costs $ 700 when I know it costs $ 150. Trying to tell me it was going to cost $ 1100 to replace a fuel pump. Took it somewhere else and paid half the price.

Mario was great! Good customer service– they were extremely busy and he still squeezed me in. Went in for an oil service. @ 2pm, picked up at 5pm. They couldn’t check my AC and get this serviced… Bummer as its 90+outside, so I’ll have to go down the street to Jiffy (because they are open until 7pm) had they fixed everything all in one day, I would have given a better review. Price — full synthetic, 2.4, was $ 50 For a 2011 GMC SLT Terrain. Wish I could have had filters switched… Breaks checked

The first time I broke down near here was in a diesel but with a simple ignition issue. They didn’t even try to help. Don’t bother.
The second time my brakes went out and I took a risk since they were right there.
When I got it back there were several oily rags still under the hood. Why they were there I have no idea. They worked on the back brakes only.
The ignition cylinder also gave out the next day. It appeared to have been cranked very hard… hard enough to ruin it.
I paid someone else to fix it rather than return and allow them to do any more damage. I had to replace to the damn steering column.
Who works like this?

I want to start on a positive note. Mario was very friendly and helpful. I came in with a check engine light with a code of P0306 and a wicked tire shimmy at speed. I asked them to troubleshoot and advise. I have had a history of misfire codes in the past and I told them what has been done before. Mario called and said the tech T/​S the issue to a bad coil rail. I asked for the resistance values and they were all the same. So I didn’t believe that there was anything wrong with the coil pack and the engine was running fine. So I had them perform a fuel injection/​decarbonization service and CLEAR the check engine light to see if it comes back. I was very pleasant and told Mario that I am a mechanic and didn’t want to be a pain in the neck customer. I wound up installing four new tires for the shimmy issue and went in to pick up the jeep. When I was checking out I was told the service manager said it was against the law to clear the code if they didn’t fix the problem. So I asked what law and was told it was their law. Mario goes back and gets the service manager and out comes Bruce. He looks angry and confrontational. I simply plead my case that all I wanted was the light to be cleared. He immediately started cussing at me and said he didn’t have time for this s – t and went out and cleared the code. When he came back in he threw the key on the desk didn’t say a word. There was a total lack of customer appreciation and no reason to cuss at a customer. Mario knocked $ 50 off of the bill which is not what I was looking for when I complained. I just wanted the check engine light cleared and not to get cussed out. Maybe someone needs some anger management classes!

I have experienced the worst when it comes it comes to auto repairs. I have had so many bad experiences and since moving to WA have never gone to a place more than once. I will for sure recommend and go back over and over again for the great customer service, accommodation even when they are closing (yes one time I was that horrible person), and awesome staff. You walk in feeling comfortable and as if your been friends with the guys for awhile. I’ve never had that connection with a mechanic until here so super happy!!! Thanks guys for everything you guys were awesome!

These guys are cool dudes, I had my transmission replaced there they did a good job. However, it still has some type of issue with it, they told me to bring it back anytime. Bruce is friendly and personable.
I took a road trip and needed to get my oil changed before I left, Larry was not able to fit me in in the morning and he could get me in by 2pm that day, I him I would be in Eastern Washington by that time. He suggested that if I could make to the Yakima store he could get me an appt for noon… :-) that is what I call service!!!

Elliott has always treated me right, and I’ve gotten excellent service from them, both in quality of service and customer service. In particular, Bruce (service manager, I believe) has always been very nice to us, even when no money was changing hands (taught me how to change headlights, tightened some screws, helped with tires, car buying advice). If I still lived in Seattle, I’d still be bringing my car here. Would be 5 stars, but they didn’t tighten down a nut all the way during an oil change and I was leaking oil for an hour or so.

Just left the Jeep dealership after inspection and tune up. The tech said «your tires are still good» you will have to start replacing them in the next year though. I see you have your spare on the front (identical to all the other tires) here’s a quote for that tire.

Tech: They don’t make that tire any more so I can’t get it. Here’s a quote for another (more expensive tire)
Elliott Tires (Visit 2, 1 week later)
Tech: I see you have your spare on the front. «All of your tires are bad» (even though one is new with a month driving time) you need 4 new tires.
Me: I’m not going to buy four tires.
Tech: well I can only sell you four, your transmission your 4 wheel drive etc etc blab la bla (insert BS here)
Me: OK goodbye.
Bottom line they Elliott Tires = predators! I do not support predators AND I lobby to get everyone to follow suit. We need to stick together and watch out for each other.

Incompetent and over priced. These guys threw out all my fancy valve stem covers and replaced them with plastic.

I have mixed feelings. I was in a jam as I had a flat (and just my luck, spare was flat too). So, after a mighty deal of procrastination, I got to remove the tire from the car and took it to them since they’re the closest tire shop. They must’ve sensed right away that I was in need so I was kept waiting (though they were courteous) for a while, then Mario looked at the tire and couldn’t find the issue. This is the FIRST time I have seen a professional not being able to find the issue with a flat.
I was told they’d look at it and it’d take about 30 minutes. So I went home and called 35 – 40 minutes later. They hadn’t been able to look at it. I called again to hear that they couldn’t fix the flat (blamed it on a previous patch) and that I’d need a new tire. Since I was in a bind, I bought one. The price of the tire itself was kind of OK but I felt the labor was high.
So I was out a Franklin and change. Funniest thing is that I had called couple days before going in and was told the price to fix a flat could be zero if it’s just a regular flat (which, far as I could tell, it was).
2 stars for courtesy and seemingly OK prices. Overall, OK, but I have experienced better. Much better.

Bruce and his crew were very helpful and honest when I needed help with my brakes. The estimate I got was more than an estimate: it was upfront pricing and no hidden costs. Bruce showed me exactly what was wrong in detail and answered all my questions clearly and honestly. The work was done quickly and safely.
Highly recommended, and someplace I will be doing future car work with.

This place is great. The guys are super nice, reliable and fast. What more could you ask for?!

I don’t know why the bad reviews like mine for 1÷15÷11 aren’t showing, but my experience has been awful. Two years ago they sold me two tires, one of which deflated the next day and tried to claim it must have been my fault. They also tried to sell me an expensive brake job which when I took it to my longtime and totally trustworthy mechanic at Foreign Car Workshop, he said was a total con job – that I had two more years of life left on the brakes. They finally swapped out the bad tire, but the other one went out within a year for no discernable reason (we drive less than 10,000 miles a year) and although I’d paid for road hazard coverage I was so frustrated I didn’t even bother to give them $ 40 to get a new tire under the warranty. I just took it to Courtesy Tires, who are honest, and have had no problems.
Today the second tire I bought went flat, so I’m no 0 for 2, plus all my time. I hope this review stays up, because most of the negative ones seem to have been filtered. I would never get anything form them no matter how good the deal sounded

I was in a jam. I found my tire leaking on the way home late one night and I needed to get it fixed early the next morning so that I could get to work on time the next day. I searched for a tire service center that would open early enough and fortunately I found the Elliott Tire and Service Center in West Seattle, close to where I live.
The service was great, fast and courteous. They were able to get my tire patched and get me on my way.
The reason why I give them four stars instead of five is while on the site it says they open at 7a (a true statement), the service technicians don’t actually start until 8a. It was good to be the first on line, but I was still a little late to work.

This place is conveniently close and responsive. I needed some better tires when the winter rolled in, they must love that, people crowding in to buy tires! They took care of me, had the tires in stock, put the on my car, and away I went.
I’m absolutely certain I could’ve found tires at a more affordable price, but I opted for convenience and was pretty happy.
