I took in a pair of jeans. It had a huge hole that developed over time from frequent use. I love these jeans. I had House of Kleen repair it and look at the job they did. Amazing. (let me see if I can post a picture of it)

I really wanted to support this business as they are small business as I am. Dropped off a table cloth to be cleaned. Was quoted $ 7 at drop off. When I pick it up, it was $ 12.99. I didn’t say anything and though I possibly mis-​understood/​mis-​heard the price when dropping off. When I later phoned for a quote on a table cloth cleaning of 5′ X 7′ (which is the size I dropped off and had cleaned), was told it would be $ 22! I think they make up prices as they go. I was probably correct with the original drop off quote of $ 7! Unfortunate for them, but I’ll find another dry cleaners.. ..

House of Kleen seemed like a good option when I first moved to West Seattle. Until it wasn’t. They have friendly staff for the most part and did an average job of dry cleaning. On my fourth time there, they lost a new shirt I had purchased for my husband. When I got home and discovered this, I called them. The girl I spoke to insisted they had not lost the shirt and that I had picked up my order. When she read the items back to me they had logged, it was incorrect! When I pointed that out, she still insisted that either I had picked up someone else’s pants OR that I was mistaken. Bottom line: Their check-​in procedure is sloppy and when they err, you pay for it. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

If you have large items for send out take them somewhere else!
I dropped off a 7X7 ft rug on 7÷6÷15 was told they had to send it out due to size and would take approximately 2 – 3 weeks. Totally acceptable considering they are unable to clean onsite.
Called on 7÷30÷15 to see if my rug was ready for pick up. Was informed that the 3^rd party company they use picked it up a couple days ago as they have been so busy and were behind. Though I was a bit frustrated as they neglected to call and inform me of the delay I accepted it and figured what’s another 2 – 3 weeks.
Called on 8÷15÷15 to check the status of my cleaning only to find out my rug had YET to be picked up! Wait?! I was told 2 weeks ago it went out a couple days ago! Of course I received an apology for the inaccurate info given. Was told my rug would be picked up in the next couple days and would take another 2 – 3 weeks… so we are talking 3 months for a 7X7 area rug. Never mind the delay let’s discuss the neglectful customer service of not even giving me a courtesy call to inform me of any delays. I had to call them.
They maybe cheap but they SUCK!

Do not go here! I came back to pick up my dry cleaning after going here for the first time and asked for my receipt. The manager gave me just the price point charged without a breakdown of services. I asked if I could have a breakdown of service receipt and she goes «oh here it is»… It was right in front of her printed out as if she purposely did not give it to me. When I asked why two of the items were three dollars more than I was quoted she said that’s what we charge. I explained the girl who helped yesterday had specifically told me, and I had double checked with her that two of the items would be 5.99 not 8.99 like what was quoted on the receipt. The manager proceeded to tell me that the girl who helped me was new and that she would have to talk to her manager tomorrow as well as her. Being that there are no signs listing the price and that the person who was helping me yesterday was new I feel like she should have given me the benefit of the doubt. Instead now I’m having to come back on my own time later this week to figure this out after being overcharged and essentially lied to.

These guys are awesome, and their prices are unbelievable! I’ve only used them a few times — but so far it’s 5 stars… Shirts @ .99 each, trousers and suits just a bit more! 2 – 3 days turnaround and hours until ~7pm… Plant in house with friendly quick service.

This is the absolute worst dry-​cleaning experience all time I’ve been using them for two maybe three years and it managed to ruin close please close the worst part is that when they’ve ruined and lost clothes, they blamed it on me telling me that I never brought these clothes in. I would absolutely recommend that you determine go somewhere else to get your dry cleaning done. I am well aware that this the least expensive place to possibly get your dry cleaning in the area, however this is the same excuse that they use when they constantly disappoint

After being a customer of this business for 15+ years, it was disappointing to have endured a 6– week drama over a wool sweater that was ruined by the cleaner. The sweater had only been worn twice when we brought in to be cleaned on ¹²⁄₁₆. When we came to pick it up, the sweater was pilled and looked like it had been washed in a washing machine. After several promises that the owner would call us but never getting the call, we continued to stop by expecting to speak with him or someone that would offer a remedy to the situation. Each time we called or came by we were told «the owner would call» or «we’re working on fixing it». We were even told they would buy a new one for us and «would order it today» around the first week of January. Ultimately we were accused of bringing in a sweater that was damaged to begin with and told the sweater was only worth $ 25. (it was a $ 70 sweater that was now unavailable and anything similar in the color that was ruined, was $ 105). It’s remarkable that until this time, we had never had any problems, yet the owner treated us like we were pond scum and liars. We were lied to on several times about what would be done to remedy the situation. It’s unfathomable to use to have been treated in this way.

Reasonable price and good service. Parking can be an issue. I am usually in and out in no time.
Everywhere else is very expensive to get my business suits dry cleaned.

If you can get one of the parking spots, this place is GREAT! I’ve been going there for 5 years, and they are super friendly, inexpensive, and REAL GOOD at getting stuff clean! The staff are all really friendly. the owner is usually there, and is always helping out. They have fair prices, especially for laundering shirts and taking care of little fixes (buttons, tears, etc). They pay super close attention to detail and will not return an item unless it is 100% perfect. I had them clean a messenger bag once, and they almost wouldn’t let me take it home because it was damp when I arrived to pick it up — They cleaned it 3 or 4 times over the course of the 2 days they had it, because it was so dirty! They didn’t want me to get it home, let it dry, and show any dirt spots! Very thorough, and very nice — they didn’t charge for the additional cleanings!

Good pricing, good service. Can be a little tricky to park there. Probably the better dry cleaners in West Sea.

They remember my name every time I go in, know exactly how I like my clothes done, and theyre soo affordable.
They even sew buttons on for free. I am a customer for life.

Like Derek, I’ve had several shirts ripped here as well as mysterious grease stains that showed up on my so-​called «cleaned» shirts. While the owner didn’t yell at me, he pretty much dismissed my claims. Most businesses would have tried to look into the problem but they are so busy churning out orders that they aren’t doing quality checks.

Love love love this place! The owner and staff are friendly and you can’t beat 99cents a dress shirt. When I drop off my pile of dress shirts (anywhere from 8 – 13 at a time), sometimes the owner will try and guess how many (usually gets within 1 or 2).
They always have my clothes done in 2 days & looking sharp. There’s 2 or 3 other drycleaners within a block of House of Clean, but they’ve got my business!

Love this place! Great quality and still only .99 cents a shirt. Alex is the best, great customer service.

I have only been treated worse by one other company. The owner of this cleaner is arrogant, disrespectful and not worth your money!
Stay away from House of Kleen. There are so many other cleaners in West Seattle. This is a terrible, terrible company.
Here is my story:
I moved to West Seattle about nine months ago and have never had a problem with any of my dress shirts. Some were old, some were brand new. But they all got ripped at House of Kleen.
The elbows were definitely worn (they’re dress shirts, after all) but again I have never, ever had an issue with my shirts until I started going here. As soon as I start going here, my dress shirts start ripping in the elbows. Something is going on at this cleaner and it is not good business. I am so mad this happened. I used to have 10 dress shirts, now I have three and I have to go buy more.
All of them ripped at House of Kleen.
When I confronted the owner, he flipped out. «I don’t ruin shirts. You ruin shirts. Your fault. You don’t come back here.» Needless to say, I was stunned. He wouldn’t even listen to me. He simply refuted my claims and yelled at me. I yelled back, naturally. It was embarrassing.
Please don’t go here. I am out hundreds of dollars of nice shirts and have nothing to show for it. House of Kleen is a disgraceful company with a bad owner who does not care for his customers.
If I could rate this business lower than one star, I would.

I have to start by saying that the $.99 shirt price is amazing. I am not quite sure how they do it, but I genuinely appreciate the low prices.
On top of it, they do an amazing job, and with a great smile. I can tell it’s a tough business but they are always working hard and always very attentive to your needs.
I would not hesitate to recommend House of Kleen.

You can’t beat the 99 cents laundered shirt for men. This saves me so much time and energy to wash and iron my husband’s shirts every week. Plus, it’s far better than what I could do.
There have been occasions when I’ve had some shirts that weren’t cleaned very well, but I just address them to Alex directly (the owner) and he’ll work to fix it. Also, when I have serious stains then he’ll keep it for awhile to work on it.
Kind of a pain to get in and out of the parking lot, but I have managed for all these years.
It only takes a few days and they are very accommodating if you need your clothes cleaned in a rush.

Dry cleaning services are fine.
Alterations are a complete mess. They send most alterations out to another service, and they do a terrible job of measuring — if at all. I suggested to them that I try on the pants I wanted altered — after it was clear they only wanted to know what size I wanted them to be. When I got the pants back, the pair that was to be taken out was taken in. And the two pairs to be taken in were taken out.
