Went for lunch recently. The pizza is ok. Nothing to rave about. If you need a pizza fix and are in Georgetown, it’s not bad. But I would look elsewhere.

This is one of my favorite GF-friendly pizza places in Seattle. Anything with the bacon(which isn’t usually one of my pizza topping choices elsewhere) is delicious. The gluten-free crust is thin, crispy and yummy, and the toppings on all of the pizzas we’ve tried, over the course of four or five visits, have been delicious. I’m extremely gluten sensitive, and haven’t(miraculously) had any cross-contamination issues here. Love them.

Pizza was okay, not the best, not the worst. The waitress I recently had lacked so much customer service that I will never return. I attended a birthday dinner, which reservations were made for, so the restaurant/wait staff could accommodate the large group. Our waitress refused to split the check even just in half due to the restaurant being too busy. The restaurant was only busy due to our large group, if our group wasn’t there only a couple tables would have been occupied. Prior to reservations were made it was confirmed that checks could be split into smaller groups. While we were there other patrons came in sat down had no service for over ten minutes and left. Our waitress spilled beer on me twice with no apology. She dropped the birthday boy’s pizza, again no apology. She didn’t offer to give the half that didn’t fall, instead took the whole pizza away. This resulted in the birthday boy having to wait for a new pizza for 10 minutes while everyone else got theirs. Our waitress refused to allow some of us to order drinks at the bar but allowed others to. She took forever to take drink orders and even longer to bring the drinks. I had to flag her down waving like a referee making a call to get a second drink. She forgot about two people at our table and didn’t take their order. I could go on and on about how terrible the service was. I will never return or recommend this restaurant due to the wait staff. There were other waitresses who didn’t seem to care at all about helping my waitress when she clearly needed assistance. I think there are multiple training opportunities here for the wait staff. First being customer service skills along with how to successfully wait tables. Had she been apologetic or even the least bit considerate maybe we would have had a better experience.

Dropped in this Sunday for lunch. The Seahawks game was just starting when we got there so we weren’t sure how busy they’d be but apparently this is a hidden gem of a place to watch a game. Our server was great! She was the only one working that day but she was really on it, quick, and super friendly without being obnoxious! We ordered half No. 9(chicken sausage, goat cheese, peppers) and half Surfin’ Squirrel(hawaiian). Both halves were delicious and we had to stop our selves from eating too much! I also have to give a shout out to the ranch which was heavy on the dill — I LOVE dill! So next time you want some good pizza(their other food looked awesome too!) and watch a game check this place out: tons of TVs, great food, nice servers, and a full bar!

I was surprised how good the pizzas were! I came here with a huge group for one of my besties birthday and got the vegetarian pizza along with walnut salad and it was just delicious! Wait till you try their Mac and cheese, it’s to die for! The place is kinda small and cramped but the food and service is amazing. The place has a lot of paintings which I loved, and it’s a cute little place for couples or even groups to hang out in. The parking can be rough but honestly I parked across the street – wasn’t sure if it was an apartment/condo but I tried to pay for parking and there was no sign so… Yeah

It wasn’t my intention to eat at Flying Squirrel Pizza having my eye set on Zippy’s Giant Burger. Seeing that it was closed that day and not in the mood to drive elsewhere me and my co-worker stopped by Flying Squirrel Pizza. It is a two room restaurant with a variety of tables and chairs to accommodate parties of all sizes. The pizzas were tasty. They were thin crust but not so thin that they collapsed under the cheese and pepperoni. They offered a variety of different kinds of pizza and the price point wasn’t bad. The service, though, was terrible. Our waitress would make eye contact with our table and then walk the opposite direction. Several times we tried flagging her down before she made a quick dash into the kitchen. Finally I left the table and stood by the kitchen so that she couldn’t walk by me without stopping. She feigned ignorance, but considering that my co-worker also noticed that she would make eye contact was a bit off-putting. The food is great, the parking is tough, and the service is terrible.

I am writing this review as we are driving away from the restaurant. It’s a slow Saturday night, only one other party in the table sitting area. We place a to-go order and 20 minutes later we find out the wrong pizza was made. The server asks us if we would like that pizza instead but it’s a completely different kind. She said it wouldn’t take that much longer for our original order to come out so we agreed to wait. It took another 20 minutes when she said it’d be about 10. Slow and terrible service. I highly doubt we’ll be back.

Coming from Chicago, I think I have a pretty good gauge of what good pizza tastes like. Im sorry, but Flying Squirrel Pizza really doesnt cut it for me. Pizzas definitely have unique toppings, but for the size, it is a bit pricey. In addition, the SERVICE here is just plain terrible! A group of 4 sat waiting for someone to take our order for 20 minutes. I could have easily flagged a server down, but it was just a test to myself to see how long it would take for someone to take our order. There were 4 other tables being served by a woman but no help to ours. After the 20 minute mark, my girlfriend asked the female server that we were ready to order. Funny thing was that she said OK& told the bartender to take our order instead. There are many better pizza places in the Seattle area, so I am happy to scratch this joint off my list!

I like these guys. No, they’re not the cheapest, and no they’re not the only high-end pizza joint in the Georgetown neighborhood, or South Seattle generally. But they might be the best. Stellar is wonderful and dive-y and dear to my locavore heart. Zeek’s has that killer Thai pizza I often crave, Zaw has a unique take-and-bake concept, Credo is good but short on value with their tiny pies. Via Tribunali is, well, «authentic» I suppose, with their burned crusts and meager toppings. Maybe that’s «authentic»; don’t know, never been to Italy. Flying Squirrel has consistently good and creative offerings, seasonal pies, interesting and delicious combinations that aren’t just rip-offs from other food genres. I’ve NEVER had a bad pie, or bad service here, and I’ve eaten their food since they opened. Give them a try! Do like I do, and show up early to pick up your take-out order so you can sit at the bar and have a beer while you wait! Recommended.

Came in after church on Sunday for lunch. March Madness was playing on all the screens within. Not many people were there. One lady was working the tables. She brought out waters for us as we helped ourselves to a table. She was polite and took our orders fairly quickly. I have to say my biggest disappoint was the time waiting for our main order. From the time we walked in to the time we paid was two hours. We weren’t planning on staying more than an hour. We had the oven-baked crab dip for appetizer. Good, but my husband and I both burned our mouths on the super hot the dip(finally recovered after three days). We had decided to get a personal pizza each. The crust had a decent crunch. Ingredients looked fresh. Amount of ingredients looked a bit underwhelming. You would get different flavor profiles in a slice of pizza because the ingredients were not evenly spread out. My husband’s pizza was not cut thoroughly. Thank goodness she gave us a knife and fork to finish cutting the pizza. Personally, the price per pizza in regards to the amount/type of topping doesn’t add up. I would be happier if the price was a $ 1 less per personal pizza. Based on the price we paid, the time spent waiting, and taste of the food, I think we would go to The Rock next time we crave pizza. Finally, I found a curly dark hair in my husband’s water, that he didn’t drink, toward the end of our meal. He had a root beer and didn’t drink the water so he never saw it. I just wanted to go, so didn’t bring it up to her.

Enjoyed a seasonal special gourmet Gus Williams with goat cheese, pine nuts, asparagus $ 11.50 adding prosciutto $ 3.00 for lunch. Courtesy and fast services. Will be back to try other fan favorites.

We stopped during the Georgetown Bites and it has to be one of the favorite stops. The pizza they serve is very good, We had one with chicken and one with meatballs, both were excellent. The service for such a busy event was great. I am looking forward to trying out more on the menu.

I love the Flying Squirrel! Quality food, great service, and OMG good music. Last night, instead of getting my favorite(the No.5), I got the Charles. It looked good, smelled good, but was drowning in oil. Just so oily. But it was tasty. The reason why I knocked a star off of a place I love so much is because the Charles made a second showing within the hour. I don’t know if it was me, or the copious amounts of oil, but I was blowing pizza chunks.

This was my second visit here and I was highly disappointed. There were a total of 3 groups of 4 or less people in the entire restaurant and there was little to no service. Two females working here should be able to cover 3 parties. I expect more at an empty restaurant on a Tuesday evening. I didn’t even get around to ordering food — because nobody came over to take the order! Sadness. Last time I was here I remember the pizza being decent. The drinks were strong and worth the money. Unfortunately, I won’t be back here for a third time to try anything else. Good thing there is a great pizza place one block away — we went there after going up to the bar to tab out. When in doubt, head to Stellar — they even have a parking lot! Phew! And thank goodness!

It’s good! I’ve been to the Seward Park location a long while back and couldn’t remember anything about it. So when they popped up in G-Town, I thought I should refresh my memory. I had the #9: Chicken sausage, goat cheese, peppers, spinach, and mozzarella. The flavors worked well together and the crust was un-soggy and crackled when bit into. My other half had #7, which is the meatball pizza and he enjoyed it too. The lacinato kale salad had a really nice creamy dressing; and the pignoles sprinkled liberally over the top melted in your mouth — blending right into the dressing. If I’m feeling pizza, it will be hard for me to decide between here and Stellar’s, which are completely different pizza-wise. But…there is one thing that may get me here versus over there: The bar staff are genuinely friendly and heavy on the pour ;)

Georgetown now has quality pizza since the Squirrel has landed. I found that THEFLYINGSQUIRREL offers quality thin crust pizza with fresh mozzarella. Now the good thing about the toppings is the FS places the correct amount goodies on top, because if you short change the toppings it won’t taste right and if it’s to much it ruins the grease combo of meat & cheese that flows over the crust and tomato paste. Just try one and you’ll understand. If that isn’t enough, THEFS offers many salads, but there Caesar salads crafted dressing is blended perfectly to your tastebuds. However before you even consider even ordering a beer which they have many from Georgetown Brewery I’d order the meatball appetizer! These balls of flesh must have a wonderful blend of meats(but I’m sure it’s a top secret recipe because that’s the only way they could get then to taste that great) served in a bowl of amazing red Italian gravy topped with fresh shaved parmesan. So Fly, walk, crawl or drive your way to Georgetown and grab a brew and pizza!

My buddy and I were supposed to meet at another restaurant in Georgetown, but the line was long and my patience was short. Instead I suggested Flying Squirrel, and we’re both glad I did. The weekday lunch hour can be on the quiet side, but this is great for you. Food comes fast, service is good and everything is delicious. We shared a large green salad(perfect for two if purchased with sides) the white bean purée, and the rosemary almonds to start. The almonds have a delicate rosemary flavor, but the punch is in the bottom of the bowl, where the crunchy bits of dried rosemary live. Every nugget is worth saving. The white bean purée was smooth, garlicky and creamy, and served with crunchy pizza dough sticks. My friend had a side of meatballs which seemed on the pricey side to me, but she proclaimed them scrumptious, and the portion was quite large for a side. The green salad was perfect, balsamic vinaigrette, goat cheese, pine nuts and blueberries. I love the marriage of fruit and cheese, and in a salad like this it’s the shiz. Though we didn’t have the pizza(we’ve eaten it before at the other locations) I know it’s also very good.
