Love their pizza’s — on the pricey side but good food and great service!

When last I reviewed this Georgetown pizza dive, they were just getting their bearings after a brief shut-down and apparent change of ownership and staff, and still managed to deliver a cool experience and decent product. I’m happy to report it’s still solid, still cool and grungy and divey and fun, the beer and cocktail selection is diverse and interesting, the food is delicious(the pizza sauce has actually improved; it’s richer and spicier), the music is eclectic and rock-centric, with no garbage pop, annoying rap or new country nonsense. This is a place a rocker can relax, a working-class neighborhood joint where a tired fellow can get a cold beer and cool folks can gather, have a slice or a sandwich(the«Local 174» sausage sandwich will rock your world), play games or just hang out, without breaking the bank. Service here is what good service in Seattle used to be in the ’90’s, and anyone wondering what it was like then can get a good dose of that atmosphere here. It’s attitude, sure, but with heart and humor. I’ll explain: These folks work hard. They don’t need to impress you and they won’t take crap or suffer fools for long. They’re not your servants; you don’t own them, so don’t act like it. They’ll warm right up to you if you show them respect, want to talk about the food, booze or music, or maybe share a joke or trade tales. Don’t expect them to be impressed at your hipster beardy-manbun, lumberjack-in-skinny-jeans thing, your BMW or your Gucci handbag; in places like this, it’s more about good manners, real unaffected tolerance(the kind that goes BOTH ways), and how you act rather than what you look like or how much money you make. Individuals are welcome here. As it should be. Recommended!

I upped to cinco starzos because the steff is so frendly. They took my American Express and I got miles for my vacation to San Fransisco in July. Yum yum yum!!!

Ate here last Saturday, sat down in a booth and were given menus. We were there around 5pm and somehow missed that it was Happy Hour. We enjoyed two salads(Greek and Caesar) as well as the pizza(half Georgetown half Beannie). Place was clean and we had great service.

This place was confusing. Party of six = cash only, this is important. No split checks, one check = once card. So while we wanted to eat here, without cash you better head half a block down the street. The staff was rude and the pizza was 30+ per pie. I would pass on this place.

Greasy, Cheesy, Big and bouncy. I love pepperoni so the Pepp grinder is my favorite. But I have never been disappointed. And… $ 1.50 Pabst all day Tuesday and… Gluten free dough is in the hizzouse… No Doi

The quality is nice, pricier than I am use to for a pizza. They have 2 pinball machines in the back. Open space for my 2 year old to run around and not bump people. They have a helicopter that he plays in too. Really friendly staff. Don’t feel like you have to get the pizza either, their other food is good too.

The wise guy below me is not funny. The food here is good. I get pizza with my family at here. Try the pepporony pizza with a can of coke, it is great for family’s. I give it 4 stars cause I gave Star Wars 4 stars too and I love Star Wars LOL!

I received a hot tip from a colleague of mine, Johnson. E. Johnson. Word was that he had a troubling experience at a local pizza joint. It was time to investigate. I brought backup just in case things got wacky. I could always count on Roger as my number two. The two of us were seated in an old booth not five feet from the bar. I can’t speak for Roger, but the hair on my neck stood up. Something wasn’t right. The server, a beautiful dame with blue eyes, took Roger’s drink order. Scotch. Roger always gets scotch. When the gal turned her attention to me, I told her«Water. No ice.» I usually match Roger’s scotch order, but I couldn’t let any booze distort a report for Mr. Johnson. I needed to get the facts. I needed a clear head. When she returned Roger ordered for the two of us: half-pie, oil-based, onions, peppers and anchovies. The wait felt eternal but actually only clocked in at about 17 minutes according to the clock on the wall. My first bite was premature; cheese burnt the roof of my mouth and I let out a cry«Hoo-zabba!» Anyway, the pizza was dope. I ate it really fast.

We came here with our parents because in the past it was a very consistent and great pizza spot but this time we had a very poor experience. To start the review, I want to say that the drinks and appetizer we received were excellent. The pizza on the other hand was quite bad. Twice. The first one the sent out had wonderful crust on the edge and toppings but the crust under the toppings was very soggy and undercooked. We sent it back after tasting it and we’re told that our new pizza would be out in a 10 minutes. 40 minutes later our pizza came out with completely burnt crust on the edges and still soggy under the toppings. When we asked the waiter, he said this was normal. Very disappointed. Won’t be back.

I work in SODO and decided to swing in for a slice on my lunch. My overall impressions of the café is nice. The place seems pretty clean and tidy. The server seemed nice with a positive attitude. I ordered 1 slice of pizza and was not impressed at all. The pizza is extremely greasy and lacks some flava. I have only been here once and will not go out of my way to go again. Lots of places to eat in that area.

Over priced, greasy and nothing stayed on the dough. You pick up your slice and the cheese and everything just drops and splats on your plate. Waste of money!

I wanted to like this place, the atmosphere was really nice and the pizza was good. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough to make up for the unbelievably rude treatment we received from the server. I didn’t come looking for abuse but that is what I felt like. I can’t remember the last time I was treated in such a condescending manner. Needless to say, I do not recommend this place.

I came here with some family a few days ago, the food was anything but«stellar», I ordered the eggplant sandwich and we also ordered 2 pizzas to share the pizzas were limp, runny, and way too spicy. My eggplant sandwich was absolutely horrible it was about 2 frozen breaded eggplant patties in a lake of overspicy tomato sauce. On top of that I ordered a an itallian soda when I asked for an almond italian soda the arrogant waitress rudely gawked at me like almond italian soda was somehow offensive«WEDON’T HAVETHAT!» she rudely exclaimed«what do you have, I asked» she paused and rudely let out a long sigh as If my request to know the types of itallion sodas was bad and I should know what flavors they have in advance(didn’t say the flavors on the menu) I ended up getting a strawberry italian soda which was waaay to sweet and I couldn’t finish. All In all stellar pizza is an absolute shithole of a resturant and deserves to go out of business AGAIN.

Having lived near the area all my life, I have been here quite a few times but never because I wanted to go. After about a 6 year break since my last encounter with the place, I decided to come back, thinking the taste may have grown on me. I was beyond wrong. What I encountered yesterday at Stellar pizza was easily the worst pizza I have ever eaten(The pizza I remember from school lunch easily beats this, don’t even get me started on the rude waitress who took my half full drink while I was looking down at my phone) As soon as the pizza arrived at our table, I knew instantly that they had not changed since my last visit. The sauce was incredibly wet and runny in parts, chunky in others, and had no flavor other than an unenjoyable spicy kick. This combined with the low quality gooey cheese allowed for it to slip off the pizza itself which hung limp in my hands. The crust was surprisingly decent but still very bland. I can honestly say that after this, I have no intention of returning.

Awesome pizza. Service staff are great and friendly to all ages. Nice casual and eclectic atmosphere with staff to match. Always enjoy coming here. Prices reasonable. Nice beers and wines available. Remember this is a pizza joint, wine available is accordingly appropriate for pizza joint not high end dinner restaurant. Conclusion easy going place that is large enough to accommodate larger parties. Service is nice and friendly. Located I. Georgetown neighborhood a bit out of the way for a west Seattle person, but worth it for my weekly pizza fix.

The food here is consistently mediocre at best. The staff are all extremely arrogant hipsters. Bartender takes out his self loathing for mutilating his own face out on customers that don’t fit into their«punk» click. He actually threatened to break my jaw because I brought my 4 month old puppy inside while I was picking up a to go order. That was last night 9÷17÷15. Glad to see new ownership has done nothing to actually improve this place. If you are a hardcore hipster that likes to hangout with image focused people who pretend they aren’t while they judge everyone else for being«normal,» this should be your go to pizza joint. I personally will never be returning. Nor will other dog lovers in Georgetown. Nor will people tired of d-bag hipsters.

Really like this place in Georgetown. dive action with a pretty wide array of gourmet pizzas, sandwiches and pasta. food and beer portions are large. I tried the pizza Cordon Blue, for example which is sliced white chicken, blue cheese and ham. the kids that were with me didn’t like spicy. 2 sections one kid one adult friendly. It’s partitioned off fairly well so screaming kids don’t drown out swearing adults.

This place is the shit, and has been since they first opened, when they were called Stella’s and used to have punk rock shows on weekend nights… I saw Gas Huffer here for pete’s sake! It’s a great dine-in spot that manages to be family friendly AND boozy hipster friendly too. They have an excellent jukebox and fun stuff too like photo booths and pool and pinball. Waitstaff and cooks are friendly and relate well to everyone in your party, and they seem to all be absurdly hot tattooed people. Georgetown cranks such people out. The pizzas here seem huge, I mean like titanic. Like you’re feeding a pack of hungry astronauts with them or something, whatever that means. Astronauts probably get hungry. Basically this review is 5 stars for a single pizza, because it’s the only thing I ever order: the Corson Classic. Long before the foodie pizza revolution that is sweeping Seattle occurred, Stellar took the bold step of showcasing a pizza that had potatoes on it, which was a «hmm, that sounds weird but I guess I’ll try it» thing at the time. The Corson Classic is beyond good. Thin potato slices, gorgonzola and onions… mind blown! Wash it down with a pitcher of Pabst and maybe get a salad to share so that you’re eating at least something green with this manna from carbo-heaven. Bonus: you get a DumDum with your bill!

Great food, great service, cool environment! This was my second time coming here this week. That says something. last time I had the eggplant rustica sandwich, which is basically an eggplant parmesan sub. It was definitely one of the best eggplant Parmesan sandwiches I have ever had. today I had a side salad, called a house salad(almost the size of a dinner salad), and the pesto cheese bread appetizer. The poppyseed ginger dressing is the best! Make sure to try that if you get a salad. Most importantly the service was amazing. Compared to this flying squirrel pizza place a couple of storefronts down, this place is a marvel. Also the food did not take forever to come out despite there being a large private party in the back. I will definitely be back to this spot again. Thanks for a great experience!

I had eaten here a few times in the past, but found the pizza to be on the greasy side. I read somewhere that they had changed ownership, so decided to give them another shot. We got carry-out, so I can’t really address the wait-staff service. I will say that they made the pizza in the exact amount of time allotted, and that everyone was really friendly and chatty when I came to pick up the pizza. As for the pizza itself, it was good! And I am very picky about pizza, due to being born and raised on the East Coast. We got extra cheese(provolone), roasted red peppers, and kalamata olives on our pizza. Tip: Provolone adds a huge flavor boost to regular old mozzarella. I always order it when pizza places actually have it,(which is rare) and I think you should too! The roasted red peppers were freshly roasted and cut in large, generous pieces. The olives were what you would expect, and it’s always nice to have kalamata instead of the canned flavorless black olives. The sauce was flavorful, and the crust was good. The crust was just a tad on the hard side, but not too bad. Overall, this is a great place to get a carryout pizza!

I’m only recently starting to explore Georgetown more and this place may become a regular spot. The servers are very helpful and attentive. Atmosphere is very casual, a little«grungy», and laid back. Service is fast(came here on a Sunday night), but they do warn you on the menu that pizzas take 25−30mins to cook — at least you know they’re fresh! Not just a pizza joint, but also serves pastas, sandwiches, and salads. I had the garlic bread(good, solid garlic bread — nothing fancy) that comes with a pepper and marinara sauce. The Carleton pizza with additional chicken that they did not charge extra for which was nice. I love thick, doughy crusts and if you do too this is a good place to grab pizza.
