I love this place! Friendly staff, great food, awesome karaōke and open mic nights. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff remembers you by name. It’s like hanging out with your friends. In my opinion, this is the best bar in Ballard. You need to come and check this place out, you won’t be disappointed. :)

First time at Goofy’s to watch a Seahawks game this past Sunday. This place seems pretty cool. If you can get the small room to the side it’s cozy for a group of friends or family to watch a game together. The server Callie was so sweet and efficient. The food was great but if you go for a game expect to wait patiently. I hear the wings are a must and worth the wait. They have pool tables and dart boards in the back larger room too.

Goofy’s is pretty big for a dive bar… they have the 3 different rooms or areas to hang out in, the main bar area with table tops, and lounge area with a huge TV, and another room with a couple pool tables. We visited on a Friday night around 8:30 and it wasn’t too busy. The Goofy Burger was the special for the night so it was only $ 6.99 and comes with your choice of fries or tots. It was a decent burger… basically a very good backyard burger… but I would have been disappointed if I had paid more. All together we had a pretty nice evening at Goofy’s and would go back for another visit. Personally I wouldn’t rely on them for dinner but I think it would be a great late night meal kinda place.

The bartenders always make my day and the food is satisfying :-) I love to watch football with my compadres here as well.

If you drink in Ballard, you need to experience«Upper Ballard»! Not quite as polished and refined as the newly established Condo Kingdom close to the water. Goofy’s is kin to such legit neighborhood bars as the Thunderbird Tavern, Thirsty Fish, The Waterwheel & Tarasco’s. Friendly staff. Tasty pub food. Reasonable prices. Strip club adjacent(female & male!). Pool tables and karaōke. This place has much to offer! Though I do miss the fireplace.

Dayum! Goofys has stepped up their menu! Besides the fact that the bar staff here is second to none, let’s talk for a minute about their steak night or better yet $ 5 goofys burger. Service is fast, food is fresh and the burger is finger licking good. Like so good my BF ordered two last night. Probably saved his life after the Jell-O shots. Follow them on facebook for daily menu offerings, and make sure to visit for the prime rib dinner. You won’t be disappointed. It’s like the cheers of greenwood. Where everyone knows your name, and your drink of choice.

They’ve gone through some changes recently, but now it’s better than ever! The bartenders are friendly, genuinely great people and always pouring delicious drinks. The cook makes some of the tastiest bar food I’ve ever had. The Goofy Burger and BLT are my favorite regulars, but I can’t pass up the daily specials. Sometimes prime rib, sometimes chicken parmigiana. And a must visit for Taco Tuesday! You gotta check this place out!

I used to like coming here but then new owners changed a lot, some for the better, some not, and they got rid of all of my favorite bartenders. I was more loyal to those bartenders than I am to the new owners or the new bartenders, so that’s that. Worst for me: I’ve seen one of the relatively new bartenders be super irresponsible with the way she handles customers who are intoxicated and making stupid decisions… for example, you don’t calm down a regular who is totally, hopelessly trashed and being super rude and belligerent – getting right into other customers’ faces and f-bombing them – by covering the drunk jackwad’s tab for him and defending him in front of the other patrons he just acted like a jackwad to… you 86 the jackwad, no matter how regular he is. I won’t be back, but if Matty Ice is still doing karaōke, he RULES. Booooooo!

This place is really bad. I have given it a couple chances. The first our food never showed up. The second time: an hour after we ordered they came back and said they were out of them. THENTAKETHEMOFFTHEMENU. Overpriced, under helped, and some of the patrons seem like they live out back. It’s called dentistry people.

I really enjoy coming to this bar for any sporting events, but especially during NFL football season. The bathrooms are like your typical dive bar and that doesn’t bother me. The layout and amount of screens make it very easy to catch every replay even when you’re moving around. I have even come here on a slower night with a date and we had a great time. This is my favorite dive bar in the area. It would be great if they had more creative specials and get people to come in on non-event nights.

Hadn’t been here for years! Hubby & I were headed home from Seahawks Superbowl Parade & stopped in for a bite & a beer. Arrived just before opening time of 2pm but barkeep-owner let us in. Advised us cook was on his way & set us up with a couple of Lucille IPA’s. I ordered the chicken club sandwich. A tasty little number with lots of bacon on toasted sourdough. Hubby had the firehouse burger that included fried jalapenos & pepperjack cheese. We both got sides of the hot wing sauce that complimented each of our items perfectly. We both got the tater tots instead of fries becuase it’s not every place where you can get a tot. They were excellent dipped in a side of ranch dressing. If you’ve never been here before it’s easy to find if you look for the Pizza Hut next door or the Value Village across the street. Small amount of parking in a lot and on the street out front. It was a very cold day for Seattle & it was cold inside the restaurant too. Ladies room won’t win any prizes for appearance or smell. Definitely more of a dudes bar.

I love this place for Packer games. Such friendly bartenders and clientele! They have a good selection of beers on tap, including Leinenkeugel’s. The TV’s are placed very well so that there is a lot of viewing area.

Love this place. The bartenders are the best in Seattle! Callie and Jen make it feel like a home away from home! Stiff drinks and awesome food for a great price. Hands down my favorite place in Seattle!

Such a gross place! Just gross, everything is sticky and the atmosphere is just nasty. Don’t bother. Go to the Thirsty Fish if your in the area.

Dive Bar? Yes! With an amazing cast of characters, my favorite being Callie of course. Such a darling gal with a heart of gold! A great neighborhood place to sit and chat with regulars, locals and friends over an icy beer or fruity boozy concoction.

An absolute dump! The employees are rude, and have No class. When I go out, i want respect and courtesy. The place should bulldozed and a nice restaurant or something put there!

I absolutely love this place! It’s exactly what a neighborhood sports bar should be! Drinks — 5⁄5 — Well made and they have good HH and other specials, no complaints. Food — 5⁄5 — Truth be told I’ve been there 4 times and have only ordered the«big dipper» as it’s so good I never have the guts to try something else. Whatever you order have the tots for the side, they’re delicious! TVs — 5⁄5 — The TVs are everywhere and in good shape! Service — 4⁄5 — Nothing to complain about but nothing overly special. Atmosphere −4.5÷5 — It’s pretty awesome! Everything is clean, there are TVs everywhere, pool table, dart boards, even an indoor firepit. I can’t really expect anything more. Customers 5⁄5 — Goofy’s bar is the only place I’ve ever been in Seattle where strangers actually came up to me and introduced themselves, and notice I said strangers… with an s… as in multiple people were that friendly. I even came back a week later and I was greeted by name by the same regulars. That makes coming here fun, especially for sporting events. Over all it’s definitely my favorite bar to hang out at when I want to be social, there isn’t really anything not to like here!

(Visit was during an NFL Sunday morning-11:30am) Ventured into Goof’s today for the first time in about 2 years and let me tell ya, like many of the«classic» places in North Seattle, not much has changed over the years. I tend to gravitate to most of the older, divey retro-relics in the area, so it’s always a comfort to know places like Goofy’s are always there in the backdrop, even if I’ve chosen to put a long space between visits. Walking into Goofy’s is like walking into a time warp that throws you into a 1970’s sports bar. The atmosphere is heavy with flickering neon beer signs, pinball/arcade games, retro barrel-like faux-fire pits, & a gigantic plastic Goofy’s logo sign that has seen better days. Daylight is practically absent from this place, replaced with the glows of strategically placed flat screen tvs, pull tabs, and faux-fire pits. Being a Green Bay Packers bar, I’ve learned over the years to avoid this place like the plague when the Pack is playing, but if the coast is clear from that(like it was this morning), Goofy’s seems to still be a pretty decent place to catch your favorite team on the NFL ticket. Goofy’s weekend pub-grub breakfasts were pretty popular with some of my work friends back in the day, but judging by the scant handful of people scattered here and there during the morning games, the breakfast draw ain’t what it use to be. I suppose this is one of the reasons it’s been awhile since I’ve been in; there use to be a time when finding a table and getting breakfast during an NFL Sunday was near impossible. Maybe there is a reason that Goofy’s didn’t seem to be what it used to be today, but from what we experienced, it wasn’t the food or drink. The wife and I enjoyed 2 of the biggest, spiciest and most delicious Bloody Marys we’ve had in a long time, and they were reasonably priced at $ 5. The breakfast food was on par as well. We split a full order of biscuits and gravy and the San Fran scramble and both were decent in portions and flavor for hole-in-the-wall pub grub. Easy on the pocketbook too. Service was adequate, but nothing to note as commendable. Our bartender squeaked out a friendly tone here and there as she went about her daily tasks like a drone. Nothing to complain about though. It was what it was. So why is it I have left Goofy’s in the dust for so long? I’m certainly not sure on that one. Maybe it’s because there are other dive bars in North Seattle that hold bigger chunks of my heart than ol’ Goof’s. I hope to stop in to Goofy’s a bit more in the future to see if I can get that old spark back…

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My friends and I came here last night for a little party/gathering, since from what we’d read it seemed like a chill dive and we wouldn’t be bothered. Boy, were we wrong. Basically, everything that could have gone wrong, did. My g&t was weak and the chicken strips I ordered were rubbery. This delightful meal set me back $ 12.75. Cool. The bartender/server took our drink/food orders, brought us our drinks/food and then disappeared, never to return to ask us if we wanted more drinks or to bring us our checks. Does this place have table service? Doesn’t it? I don’t think they know. I could’ve dealt with the bad food, weak drinks and mediocre service if it wasn’t for the fact that we were repeatedly bothered by the bar’s drunk, obnoxious patrons and the waitstaff did nothing about it. One fellow returned to our table a total of four times to try and make friends, despite the fact that he was obliterated and we were having none of it. Another gentleman at the bar was slurring his speech and slumping over, and still somehow getting served. Isn’t it up to the bar staff to make sure that their clients aren’t getting harassed by drunken skinheads? Apparently, not at Goofy’s. Don’t get me wrong. I love a good dive bar. But this place failed on all counts. If I want to get heckled by drunken morons, I’ll go to Earl’s, where at least the drinks are worth the bucks.
