The highs and low’s of shopping Ludlow Home: the place looks so enticing from the outside– too bad they almost always seem closed for business. Unreliable hours mean that I’ve actually only had the op to shop there twice in the nearly year and a half they’ve been«open» for business. Pity, as the goods, they’ve got it– salvaged wood turned into charming rustic style coffee tables, smart antiques and vintage wares, eclectic wall art and some great mid century modern finds. By all appearances, Ludlow’s got the goods. However since they can’t seem to be counted on to have predictable business hours, I guess they can keep the goods while they are at it.

Eclectic stuff, expertly curated! I scored quirky lime green Danish mini drawers for little things like paper clips and stick-on googly eyes. And of course his items are exquisitely unique as James is a former Austinite like myself. I’ll be back!

Here’s the formula: skim the top off of a few estate sales, add some more mundane items and art/craft pieces, price it all beyond reason. Some interesting pieces and aesthetic, but not worth it.

Seattle could use more of the style and warmth that Ludlow offers! There is no better place to pick up a gift for yourself or a friend. Rick is a doll to visit with and a connoisseur of fine furnishings. The pickles have a city wide reputation, stock up while you can! Local artists, soap-makers, and vintage treasures to die for! Can’t get enough of Ludlow.

Casually walked by and had to stop. I wish I could just let them decorate my home. The owner was incredibly friendly and opened about his sources and design philosophy. All items were well priced especially based on what there were, wouldn’t call it cheep but I would say it’s a good value. I definitely plan on stopping by regularly as I think the selection must change often. I am planning on being a big fan!

Gorgeous new shop in Greenwood. They stock a lot of vintage goods with a modern feel(is that a thing?) The look is warm and inviting, a bit manly and very stylish. I’ve been in twice and have managed to find a few things I can’t live without on both visits. A glass antique jewelry box, vintage bracelet/necklace set(at a steal of a price, I had to look twice), their own brand of jam(earl grey marmalade. which the owner gave me a recipe suggestion for and I promptly forgot.), candle, and a wood postcard. Random combo of things(which I am keeping all for myself) but everything makes sense and flows perfectly in the shop. My two visits were spaced about 2 weeks apart. They must move through inventory pretty quickly as there was a bunch of new things to look at the second time around. Especially in the jewelry case. I can’t wait to go back.
