Northwest K9 Bed Bug Detectives

I am a totally blind owner of a small business and whenI first discovered bites on my arms and legs, I researched out this company and called them first thing in the morning. Susan was wonderful and was able to squeeze me in the very same day. She and Magic searched the house and found a few areas where bedbugs were and they were able to treat them two days later before the infestation got out of hand. The two guys who came out went far above and beyond their call of duty and were very conscious of my special situation. I would highly recommend their services to anyone!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Susan and this company.
My whole ordeal started at least 2 months ago. I started seeing bites on my feet, ankles, arms, hips, etc and was a bit in denial that I actually had a bug problem. I did my own investigation and couldn’t find any evidence that I had a bed bug infestation. But the bites continued and I decided I needed to do something. Susan was quick to get back to me when I requested an appointment, walking me through the steps and provided materials on bed bugs and treatments.
Even through a series of unfortunate events … getting locked out of my apartment with Magic there and my landlord not answering for 30 minutes. she kept true professionalism. Magic did end up signaling in my apartment and she talked me through my options. I trusted her expertise and basically just said «whatever you think I should do, do it.» I had the place sprayed with cimi-​shield and DE by her colleague James which took less that an hour. Even with this experience alone I would recommend this company. The evaluation and treatment of the apartment came to be about $ 400.
But Susan is so wonderful that she continues to follow-​up with you. I later came to find out that I may have a flea problem as well! You can imagine my dismay to think that I may have 2 pest problems! Even thought Susan isn’t in the flea business she still told me her treatment recommendations and that they could come back and spray the place again if need be.
I’ve seen less and less bites in the last few weeks and I thank Susan and Magic profusely for their expertise and service. If I ever have this issue again (hope to god not…) I will call them first.

We had a bed bug scare after friends we had visited found bed bugs. Susan was willing to listen to the situation and gave her honest opinion that we probably did not need her services at this time. I was extremely impressed with her knowledge and candidness.

An easy 5 stars, and we didn’t even have a bedbug problem!
Long story short, I woke up finding a creepy looking squished bug (w/​blood) that I mistook for a bedbug. I emailed Susan, who emailed me back the same day with info etc. And gave me a call as well. I sent her pictures of the bug, and she confirmed it was not actually a bedbug!
Taking the time to do a consult and ease my mind was extremely appreciated, and now I can rest easy. Based off of that interaction, I would certainly trust her if I needed her services, and I recommend you do the same.

Susan is absolutely wonderful. She will personally follow up and make sure the problem is taken care of after her service is complete. She is through and really made me feel better after dealing with a tough situation like bed bugs. I highly recommend her and her company.

Susan is the first person I contacted when I suspected I had bed bugs. She emailed me a good amount of information, so that I could educate myself and not make the problem worse. Her schedule was full at the time so she recommended another detection dog who came and confirmed the presence. Then I needed help with pre-​treatment work, and she gave me a referral to someone who specializes in that. She has been incredibly helpful.
Due to HOA issues (which have nothing to do with Susan) I am using a different company for my bed bug problem. However, her advice and referrals were invaluable.

Susan is an angel. I was completely distressed since we have stayed in a room with bedbugs for two nights, and was afraid we would take home the bedbugs. She has corresponded with me in emails, giving me her professional opinion and advice on how to deal with the situation. She was prompt in her responses and extremely understanding of the stress and anxiety that comes with fear of bedbugs. She has helped ease my mind with the clear directions she proposed. Note: do not spray diatomaceous earth (DE) prior to the inspection, as it can harm the dog and it is a pain to clean up.

I called Northwest K9 Bed Bug Detectives to have her evaluate my father-in-law’s living quarters because he felt that there might be a bed bug problem. Susan was able to fit this project in the very next morning. She and her dog Magic arrived on time and were consummately professional. She demonstrated Magic’s capabilities, leaving no doubt that this pooch knew his business. Susan and Magic swept the area three times, leaving me and my father-​in-​law confident that the area was bed bug free.

A few weeks ago my roommate began discovering little itchy bites all over her body. We soon uncovered the beginnings of what we believed to be a bed bug infestation in the corner of her mattress box. We went onto google and Unilocal to search for bed bug exterminators and came upon Northwest K9’s Seattle. We called right away and spoke to Susan on the phone. Immediately, we knew we were in the right hands. She was filled with a wealth of information and came over for a consult with her dog Magic at our earliest convenience.
Susan was not like most exterminators. She walked us through every step of the process and sent us research articles on the best solutions out there for treatment and prevention. When she arrived for the consultation, she showed us a demonstration of Magic’s ability to find bed bugs, so we were confident he would do a thorough inspection… and he did. We have a three story house, with 7 bedrooms, and he searched through every one. He found exactly the spot where my roomate and I had found the bed bugs (as well as a few other spots as well).
We discussed the best solution with Susan (we decided on a freezing process) and she walked us through the next steps we would need to take before the exterminator arrived. She arranged for the extermination within the next week and checked in with us regularly on how we were doing, providing us with tips along the way and answering ALL of our MANY questions. This is a very stressful process and Susan did everything in her power to relieve that stress and make us feel confident in our ability to get rid of the problem. Following the extermination, Susan provides a follow up inspection (2 weeks) later with her dog Magic for free. She is kind, patient, and reassuring and I would highly recommend her services to anyone out there looking for the best of the best in bed beug extermination!

Susan was wonderful!!! What I thought was just my mind getting the best of me, and perhaps just a flea problem (I have a big lab), turned out to be the very start to a few bed bugs .enough to give me about 4 – 5 bites/​nt. for a week.
Susan called me back right away after calling early one morining. She walked me through all the steps and singling out anything else first. She was at my place by mid-​afternoon. She spent a lot of time with me; first explaing about bed bugs, then showing me samples so I could identify, and how the dog would signal, etc.
She even did a test demonstration for me first w/​her dog with pseudo-​scent papers that smell like live bedbugs to show me how the dog will search, then signal.
The dog seemed darn near dead-​on. Because of Susan and her doggie the location of the bed bugs was found right away and treated as quickly and easily as possible.
It was a hard thing to hear when Susan shared the bad news (that the dog had found some) but Susan was caring and calm with me as I had a few tears of fear.
The next day I even followed up with Susan about a few more things I was wondering, each time she answered the phone right away! Even emailing me some helpful tips & ariticles. No one wants to admit they have bed bugs, but if you do, and go thru all it is about, having a great company to use makes all the difference!

Susan brought her dog and the bad news was we had lots of bedbugs. She knew what she was doing and we had the HEAT treatment. We were inconvenienced for 9hrs in one day and the bedbugs are all gone. They were so courteous and friendly and very caring. We are thrilled that we made the right choice to have a k9 come and find those awful disgusting bugs. A friend recommended to use a dog and we did and now we can sleep at night.
