Rude service over priced menu, music keeps cutting, cool ppl, not sure why here. Hummus platter 9 $? Make sure not to leave u’r drink alone, bartenders taking over. No shame.

I’m giving 5 stars, despite an arbitrary change in prices on club soda, from free several weeks running, to $ 2.50, which appeared to be based on the bartenders mood. It was the entertainment that bumped this review back to being a 5 star one. Recently, Outwest has added an amazing drag queen, a statuesque beauty, the gorgeous Dolly Madison. She’s not your usual crass drag queen that leaves you quivering in a corner, hoping she’ll overlook you. She’s warm, gracious, funny and talented, and was stunning as Elvira, Mistress of the evening, for Halloween. There’s still the great ambience, and talented VJ Andy, but now there’s the occasional drag number too. Good work Outwest! I’ll be back, with friends in tow. Now about that $ 2.50…

Nice neighborhood bar. Staff seems pretty solid. Seems like it gets a little rowdy at times but i’ve always been made to feel very welcome whether it’s lesbian karaōke, drag queen bingo, trivia, or just some folks sitting around sharing a beer.

This place is great! Eli makes fantastic drinks, some of the clientele are rather interesting, and some are down right awesome. You’ll feel like family when you step foot in here and for that we thank you! See ya soon!

I’ve moved away from Seattle in 2000 and West Seattle was where my grandparents lived for 50+ years. Wow has it changed! Entire buildings are gone and condo’s are up. I knew this has been happening but I got to really see it when my sister who still lives in West Seattle wanted to have dinner in the Junction. I had well over an hour to kill so I decided to have a drink while I waited for her. I knew there was a gay bar and knew there had been a few gay bars in the junction over the last several years but I was really happy when I found this place. I walked in to find a mixture of 15 men and women all sitting window side. Thomas was the bartender that night and he was great! He moved out of Seattle the same time I did but due to family he’s since found his way back to Seattle. We had a lot in common when it came to moving and family. Completely enjoyed him and was well taken care of while I was there. It’s not a big place by any stretch of the imagination but what it lacks in size it makes up for in style. I’ll make this a regular stop when I’m in the Junction because its a nice place to just hang and have a drink. Nice job!

I’ve come to this bar many times and the owner seems completely clueless and acts as if all the bar patrons are there to see him! Since they lost there original bar manager and some great bartenders along with him my friends and I will not be coming back!

The only place in WS with karaōke on a Wednesday night. Only problem? We are straight, got bumped 3 times from singing our songs. :( I ordered the IPA, they didn’t mess up my drink order once, yipee!

This place is pretty hit or miss. On some nights it’s lots of fun and will stay open later while on other nights it’s quite dead even when other areas in the city are hopping. The service is usually pretty good. However, one or two bartenders would obviously rather be doing something else. I overheard one of the bartenders complaining about how she could not close the bar early and go somewhere else with her friends because she had too many customers that night. They have fun events throughout the week from a women’s night, a bingo night, the ubiquitous karaōke and other fun stuff. For a gay bar, the prices are fairly high, though they do compare to other bars in West Seattle.

This is my new neighborhood bar. It feels like home and karaōke with Kelli is always a blast. I wish they had a bigger space with room for some games but I’m just glad to have found them. Oh, but don’t go to watch Drag Race. It follows trivia(which might run long) and the trivia crowd hangs around and talks LOUDLY over the show. Sadness. I don’t let it affect my rating because I just know they will find a way to adjust the schedule to allow for proper viewing parties next season what with all the successful Seattle queens on the show.

My group is in town for a wedding and the party was determined to stop at every bar on the way to the bride/groom’s house for day-before-wedding fun/harassment. When we passed by OutWest, we weren’t sure if a bunch of loud drunken straight people would be appropriate patrons. However, Holly came out to greet us and invite us in as she was opening the place up. She is f-ing hilarious! Very kind, attentive, willing to make jokes, laugh and she is a crazy good mixologist.(I was the sober one in the group but I did some sipping of various cocktails.) We had such a good time that we came back later when it was packed and hung out for a couple more hours. The business itself had a fun atmosphere, good decoration, and was relatively new(on the inside). I liked the long bar and its central focus. But to be perfectly clear Owners, it was a fabulous employee(Holly) that brought us in and brought us back. The other bartender that showed up later in the night did not even compare. I love Seattle!

Friendliest bar in town! Trivia on Mondays with Lindsay is so much fun! Bartender Joe is the best and the owner is always there to chat and thank you for coming. Such a great vibe at this place!

I went to meet up with a friend a few Friday nights ago I have been there a couple dozen of times since it’s in my area each time before was pretty good great bartenders Holly and the taller young guy are always great! Well on my most recent visit they had a new bartender Mr. muscular(great eye candy) BUT… kept doing his side work before he even said hello to me i was standing at the bar for 5 mins just waiting I even said hi to Bob the owner!!! He said hi back but didn’t even tell his employee that he had a customer! I work at a restaurant/bar too I would never ignore a customer! I just am now a little hesitant of going there now! Great eye candy and service should go hand in hand!

I’ve stopped in a couple of times but usually there aren’t a lot of people there. The bartender was great. He was engaging and nice and attentive. The owners were meeting with liquor reps to prepare for the new liquor laws and distribution so they were kind of absorbed in that and didn’t really seem to want an opinion from outside the tasting circle. I’ll probably go back because it is a gay bar that isn’t a $ 25 cab ride home. Wish it felt more social though.

Last night was the first time I have ever walked into a sparsely populated bar and been completely ignored by a bartender. In his defense, he seemed strangely preocupied with some sort of horrible, smelly food order; but, a simple acknowledgement of my presence would have been nice. Making nachos or whatever the hell he was trying too make isn’t exactly rocket science. I waited ten minutes(yes, ten minutes) for a simple«I’ll be with you in just a sec.», but got nothing. I felt totally invisible and completely unwanted. Management should focus less on hiring bartenders with ridiculously big arms and low IQ’s and more on finding someone with a jot of intelligence and a personality.

I really thought this place was great. The group of us had a fun time and enjoyed the evening! The service was what you would hope and the atmosphere was inviting and pleasant. Most«Gay Bar’s» are cliquish and cliché but this place really made me feel welcome. I was pleasantly surprised to see it was busy and the crowed was very diverse! While some have complained about the décor I don’t see that being the case, we didn’t go there for that and felt it was appropriate. The music was fine, just in the background where it should be as this isn’t a dance club! While the food was not worth writing home about, with the exception of the BBQ pork sliders which were very tasty, I would recommend going here if you want to chill, have a drink and enjoy friends. I hope this place becomes the goto place in West Seattle for friends and a sense of community!

This is a 3.5 star rating but I’m rounding up since Bob is a sweetheart and very friendly and serves the community well. +‘s Clean, nice layout, friendly staff and owner. Awesome pulled pork sliders. You get three of them in a dish. Served in a soft butter dinner roll. Nice tangy sauce. -‘s Aside from the pulled pork sliders, the food is really not something I would go there for. Everything is made from a little counter top oven or microwave. Nacho’s were okay. Tortilla chips were stale. Salsa was store bought. Cheese nothing special. Hot wings were okay, but pre-frozen and it was not crispy. Store bought wing sauce. The burrito was just a been burrito, store bought as well. Honestly, stick to the sliders and your golden. I still have to try their chowder, chili and chili dog. Drinks, well I had two long islands and a fireball shot and was not even buzzed? Geez, I’m not that much of a lush. They were not as stiff as it could be. No puns. ;) All in all, I’m happy that West Seattle has a gay bar again. I missed Guppy’s. if you looking for a laid back, friendly and unpretentious bar, go here.

As a member of the«Great Gay Migration» in Seattle from Capitol Hill to West Seattle(as documented here: ), I felt it part of my duty to check out this fairly new LGBTQ bar in West Seattle. Thankfully it’s a great little find– and about as different from the Capitol Hill bar scene as you can find! Located along California between the Alaska and Morgan Junctions, Outwest is a super-cute, casual little bar with friendly staff, a great selection of drinks, and a nice mixed crowd. Each night of the week is a little different– ranging from Trivia Mondays to Lesbian Wednesdays, and everything in-between, including sports night, RuPaul’s Drag Race viewing parties, and Karaōke nights. Their food menu is limited, however, everything we’ve tried so far has been good. They do have a 20% deal with Papa John’s Pizza across the street which is great if you’re looking fro something more filling. I sure hope this place stays open and is supported well by the community. It’s welcoming to all, has comfy and ample seating, and lots of street parking!

It’s something. I am staying neutral because I want it to work out. — OutWest has friendly help behind the bar, and it seems intimate. Definitely needs to find its own charm in the neighborhood to succeed. It seems like the right size, but then I was there with eight lesbians on a night when two jurassic leather queens were stylin’ at the bar in full costume. Don’t be scared. I will try it again when I am in the neighborhood.

I came here with a friend on a Thursday, the day after they first opened. The owners have put so much of their heart and soul into this place. I had a lot of fun and can’t wait to come back on Wednesdays for their lesbian night. They were having their soft opening and hadn’t started serving food. I did get a peek at the menu and it looks to be promising. Much better than standard bar food. Thank you, owners, for bringing this bar to West Seattle! Smooches!
