Missy: Receiving a crooked haircut from Brooke, my daughter getting her bangs cut crooked was enough bad. I wanted to change stylist and have Mallory cut my hair instead of Brooke. Brooke charges more than she should for the quality of haircut you receive. I had Brooke color my hair once, she turned my medium brown hair almost black so I never allowed her to color it again. Again, Brooke should never had called me and should have allowed me to see whomever I wanted for a haircut. I will not be recommending your salon to anyone.

Brooke has cut and colored my hair twice now. I think her cuts are the best ones I’ve ever received. Her suggestions for color were also right on and I’ve received many compliments on how great my hair looks! Happy to have found Brooke and this salon!

I have been a patron for a few years now. My experience has always been relaxing and there is nothing like a fresh haircut to put pep in your step! Mallory has taken great care of me an helped me decide on colors and styles :) Missy cuts my moms hair and has always taken great care of her. If you are looking for talented and friendly stylists, look no further! The salon is bright and open, the girls are friendly and always helpful it is worth driving from Renton to have my hair styled! Give them a try, you will be glad you did!

Unilocal doesn’t do math does it? How does 5 stars plus 2 stars equal an overall two star rating? Maybe it’s new math. But I’d like to point out that«Dandelion’s» review is an exception to the rule. Every single person I’ve recommended Missy to has loved her haircuts and respects her talent. Obviously they need to post here to fix Unilocal’s new math. Missy really doesn’t have to advertise much because of her repeat client base. That should speak for itself. I’ve lived down in San Diego for six months now… and I still fly back up to Seattle to have Missy cut my hair(okay, I go see my kids too, but still!). It’s a shaggy mess right now and I’m really looking forward to my appointment on Tuesday!

As a result of the positive thin hair reviews here I decided to try getting a very simple haircut at Salon Ef-fekts. I have thin straight hair that likes to do its own thing, so I explained to Missy that I wanted the simplest, bluntest cut possible so it wouldn’t look weird. There just isn’t enough volume to carry layers. Missy insisted that«a little layering» would be wonderful, and there was no talking her out of it. I tried to explain that my hair is idiosyncratic, and that generally one side flips inward, the other outward. She said the cut she was giving me would even that out. I was very skeptical, especially since unlike my wonderful cutter on the East Coast, she barely looked at the hair before going to town with the shears. Needless to say, the result was horrible. One side looks like a deliberate, intentional haircut, the other side looks like an accident, with jagged little frays flipping up willy-nilly. I am quite unhappy about it, as it will take quite a while to grow out again. I haven’t asked her to rectify the problem, as I’m scared to be in her chair again. On the positive side, Missy seems like a pleasant person(professional judgment aside), and the salon is clean and bright. Maybe this was a flukey mistake, but I will not risk it again to find out.
