The place is small but the service and food were good. Not the best phở I’ve ever had but still yummy. I love that they give you cream puffs when you come inside to eat. Also I appreciate that they didn’t come to your table every two seconds, which allows you to relax and enjoy your own time or the companionship of whom ever you bring around without being bothered or rushed. When you’re done, just simply pay at the counter. I’d come again

Very nice simple restaurant. I live restaurants that do one thing and do that one thing really well. This restaurant seems to fall in that category. If you don’t want phở don’t come here, maybe I missed It but on the lunch menu I didn’t even see sorting rolls. But who needs Spring rolls when you have great soup which they do have and this is by far the most important ingredient to the meal. I also thought the meat balls were very well made and would highly recommend adding those to your soup. All in all a great place for a cold day.

Extremely cheap dining that will fill you up. Can’t beat a piping hot bowl of phở for 6.75(I went medium). The broth is savory like a hearty stock that has been simmering for hours. And a free cream puff — you can’t go wrong! Also, your food is out in 5 minutes, which I appreciate.

Hello everyone. I was on Monday in tan brothers phở in Mercer ave and I sou the cockroach just right next to me on the table. And I called the server that I sou cockroach running on the table, and his respond to me was like it’s normal think and hi didn’t react to take that in his mind to remove or to do something about that. I love PHO I every day I go to PHO place, after this I just don’t like PHO anymore.

I’m so deeply moved since it reminds me of the small restaurants near my college in China. Cheap food, but with very good quality. You can tell the taste of the soup comes from stewed meat soup and not from artificial seasonings. The strength of the rice noodles is fair and the meat is ok. The pepper oil is not spicy enough though from the look it seems with very good quality, brings the soup a mild but fragrant spicy smell. The puff omg is glorious and far beyond expectation… I thought it was some cheap dessert but it is not! Do eat the puff!

Affordable and pretty good. My only complaint is that the sprouts and basil are sometimes pretty sad looking.

All these people griping about service need to take a chill pill. The food is tasty with very reasonable prices. I ordered the veggie phở, the server asked me if I wanted beef or vegetable broth(nice that they give you the option) I got it with beef. It came out fairly quick, piping hot, with lots of veggies. It was godamn delicious and just what I needed after a cold long day. Price for a giant bowl of happiness came out to less than $ 8.00.

This Phở Than Brothers location doesn’t offer a very diverse menu(only phở is served). However, the portions are generous, and the food is served quickly. There is generally no wait time to be seated, which makes this a very convenient place.

This place is the Phở SPOT in Queen Anne. It looks kinda sketchy, like they don’t serve very good food or the chef only showers every few days… but this place is glorious. I have never have to wait to sit down, the two guys that take the orders are really nice, they serve you CREAMPUFFSWHILEYOUWAITFORYOURFOOD(Dessert before your meal? where were these dudes when I was 6?), the food comes insanely quick, and the phở is flavorful and heals the soul. Oh, and it’s pretty cheap compared to other phở restaurants… What else can you ask for? Nothing. That’s what. 5 out of 5. I’ll be back tomorrow.

Best vegetarian phở I’ve ever had !! Usually go with steak but decided to try something new and now I find myself having a hard time on which one to pick because they are both soo good !

Frequent Phở Than Bros as it’s the closest Phở place near work. The broth is good but not exceptional(other Phở places have a better formula) and the slices of meat such as brisket and flank I find to be more on the lean side and so less compelling. I usually get no. 12 which has a good variety of beef and tendon… Extra meat order seems to include more rare steak than the other types. Nicest touch which differentiates Than Bros versus other phở places is the cream puff dessert which comes complimentary to each person. Overall a solid if not exciting place to eat phở.

I work a few blocks away, so it’s a great place to go. Cheap, fast, good. I originally gave it a 4 stars because I wish that they had more choices to offer. However, if they did, then one of those 3 qualities I mentioned would be gone. And 1 free cream puff per order. Can’t beat that!

Every time I walk by, the smell of phở fills my nose and I can’t help but crave phở until I indulge. It’s like crack. I’ve never done crack, but. it’s like crack. But, the service here sucks. If you come in after a rush, you’ll be sitting next to dirty tables while the guys working there are either playing on their phones, or paying attention to their own lunches. You’ll never get your water filled so you have to drink the entire glass before your phở comes to get a refill, or drink sparingly. I’ve seen dudes wearing flip flops and I don’t really like seeing toes when being served my food. You get a cream puff, the steak phở tastes like heaven to me, but the service SUCKS. Also, as stated numerous times in other reviews, make sure you say you want veggie broth with your veggie phở, I saw a girl get mega pissed off when she found out she was eating beef. So, I don’t know, you take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have: yummy phở but. toes and waterless and they still have a tip basket.

Only came in to order ca phe sua da(Vietnamese ice coffee) and was not impressed. It took them about 4 minutes to make, which is totally fine, but the resulting cup did not look good at first glance. The to go cup was filled 2⁄3 of the way with liquid while the rest was ice, strike one. The coffee looked more milk than coffee in a very light brown color, strike two. The coffee tasted super sweet as in too much condensed milk was added with very little coffee flavor, strike three. I found out this is one if several Than brothers restaurants so I hope their food rates better than their coffee.

Great food but the image needs and update. I really liked the price and that the meal came with a cream puff, no charge. We came in on a low-traffic time(3pm) but customers were always there. Ordered the chicken phở and it was great. The basil was super-fresh and delicious. The interior is tacky. Cheap and not clean(band-aids on the floor, greasy tables). I was tempted to give the place 4 stars but they MUST clean up the interior if they are going to be serving food.

Food has been consistently good and the pricing is very reasonable. You get a lot for your money. Service is a bit average. Not super friendly but I haven’t ever had them be rude or really mess anything up! Nice place if your looking for some good phở!

I’ve been going to this location of Tan Bro’s for over a year and my ratings fluctuate from one star to three stars. However, for the past two months, I’ve seen significant improvements. The staffs are the same, however, the food is much better. Trust me, I know, this is the food of my people. The phở comes out piping hot and very flavorful without the foul smell. I eat my phở very plain: no meat or veggies, just plain broth and noodles. So I can really tell the true flavoring without any additives. There’s been times when the broth was sour, but it has consistently been good as of late. In addition, they have a «summer special» spring rolls. Although, no longer summer time, they still offer it. Of course I make it better, but for $ 3.50 for two gigantic ones, that is a good deal and a great complement to the phở.

This is my second time here. The food is consistently REALLY good and the prices are very reasonable(at least on the Phở) Some of the best Phở I’ve ever had. The only thing is… they charge you to get your order To Go?!? What’s up with that? At least have a sign somewhere so I’m not surprised.

Phở… nothing more, nothing less. I’m giving them 3.5 stars. There are plenty of tables and while I’ve seen it quite crowded, I’ve never had to wait for a table. Also, if your soup hasn’t arrived at your table in less than 5 minutes you’re either a) as indecisive as Didddy, or P. Diddy, or Puff Daddy, or Puffy, or whatever the hell he calls himself, or b) you creeped in like a mouse and they didn’t see you walk in. DISCLAIMER — I’ve never seen any rodents walk through this restaurant so please don’t shut the place down!!! Make no mistake about it as all they serve is phở. There are 14 combinations to choose from. I guess technically there are a couple more because they have a veggie option and a meatball option that aren’t part of their number combos. Every bowl comes with a cream puff — the new staple at most phở restaurants in Seattle. They have several drinks on the menu and I always find myself getting a Vietnamese iced coffee. #becausecaffeine For a large bowl of phở and an iced coffee I usually end up right around $ 10. That’s definitely in my budget! As the saying goes, you can lead a drunk to phở and dammit they’ll eat it. If you enjoy watching people suffer through their hangovers, come here on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Over the last year and few months since I’ve been Unilocaling on the regular, I’ve been making my way back to places and trying to remember to review them all. This location of Than Brothers is one such place. Parking is not great, but hey, it’s Queen Anne. I like the space — lots of tables and very clean. Don’t order special drinks. From my experience, they forget right up until the time you go up to pay the bill. It happened again on this visit. Sadness. Don’t make up some fancy stuff or you may be disappointed. For instance, I ordered extra noodles for my child on the side. They put it in the bowl. Was it worth an argument? Maybe. But the smell of the broth led me on like moth to a flame. I soon forgot why it was important in the first place. Oh, yeah. Because I have a picky child. The broth is one of my favorites. Just what I need on a cold fall day or even a warm summer day. Heck! I can eat phở all year round.
