Looks like there was another change in owner/management so after that nightmarish experience that prompted me from dropping this place from 4 to 1 star, I decided to give them another shot. The new lady who runs the place is very nice, extremely attentive towards her customers and makes you feel welcome. The food has gone back to being awesome. The Spicy Phở with rare steak is fantastic. The veggie broth is very flavorful and the phở is loaded with veggies. The noodles are perfect and they do not skimp on the sides and garnishes. The fresh roll is not bad but I still miss the original one from 2 owners ago where they had that rolled fried tempura going through the roll adding that surprise element of crunch that set it apart from all the others. Overall I love the place again and have already been back three times in the last couple of weeks. Happy to see my favorite phở place back to its previous glory. Will continue going back here if they keep this up. My only single complaint with both the veg and beef broths is the amount of MSG that goes into them I really wish they would cut down on that or eliminate it altogether. The tingly sensation on the tongue and the immense thirst after gobbling down a bowl of phở is a clear indicator of too much MSG. Owners if you’re reading this, please consider reducing it.

This is my second time here. I stay in this neighborhood for the eats and plan on visiting a couple times over the next two weeks… Nothing like a hot bowl of phở to ease these dark, wet winter days. I like the spicy broth on the phở.

This restaurant serves pretty average Vietnamese food(trust me, food of my people). It’s not terrible, but it’s not a place where I would ever crave. We came here for lunch and immediately nearly froze as it seems they don’t want to turn on the heater. The three of us each ordered a phở, spring roll, and some Vietnamese coffee. Phở and coffee were standard, but the spring roll lacked flavor and the dipping sauce was watered down. Overall, I don’t think I will be back. It’s nearly $ 10 bucks for a bowl of phở at a place that is freezing cold and serves very standard tasting phở.

Solid PHO, good broth. Fairly friendly. Not a huge fan of the décor but overall this was a good spot and I will be back

Best vegetarian broth Phở I have found in Seattle! Huge aromatic bowls piled high with lots of veg, it warms my soul just thinking about it. I often call in an pick up and have never had a problem except that they sometimes run out of the veggie broth, no surprises there, my fault for waiting too late. Love this place and come here possibly once a week– enjoy!

This is probably one of the worst customer service. Very small inside also. Only 2 workers, cashier & server. Smells like damp wet cloth(wet dog). Server forgot our utensils along with the people next to us .i notice we sat down after a couple, got food, finished,& the person next to us still didn’t get their food because the server forgot what they ordered. The max capacity is about 20 – 25 depending on how close you would like to sit next to a person. Even getting in & going out the door is very cramped up. If you know phở, then you’ll be disappointed. Broth is not on point & is more catered towards the«American» crowd. Not a lot of flavors like the real Vietnamese phở restaurants!

We order to-go from here all the time. All. The. Time. It’s awesome Thai food, hits the spot! The staff is very nice and it’s usually full inside but never loud. There is parking around back you can access from Roy St. I’ve never had to wait for a table.

This was the last stop before heading to Vancouver. And boy am I so pleased. I had just gone to Kerry Park to see the skyline. It was cloudy and overcast. We were hungry, but not famished. So we drove around, we saw PVA and it didn’t seem like much. A shabby yellow house, with peeling paint. But when you step in, it’s as if you’ve been transported to Vietnam. The food was point on, the sandwiches were the best I’ve had in a long time. I had the bbq and grilled pork sandwhich, it was unreal and so delicious. My husband had the grilled chicken sandwhich. And he said it was the best he’s ever had. This place is so good, it deserved a review and my 5 stars.

The vegetarian phở here is so legit with its veggie medley of broccoli, carrots and snap peas accompanying the tofu. I also like to start with the vegetarian egg roll cause that taro filling is so flavorful.

Had the fried spring rolls, good my great. Had the Brisket Phở and my wife had the Chicken Curry. Delicious. The only criticism I might have was the broth was a little bland than I am used to. Nice neighborhood place.

Just moved to Seattle from California and I wanted something that was close to my mom’s bowl of phở. Oh. My. Gosh. I’ve been here twice in one week and I rarely crave for phở. The large combo bowl is filled with so plenty meat and noodles. Shared this bowl with a friend and had a plate of the fried egg rolls. Perfect amount of food and the prices are right for the quantity of food. Cleaned, quick service, and my new fav Viet place.

I am vegan. I rarely ever write a review on Unilocal. However, after years of being told the Vegetarian Phở here was vegan, last night I was told it is not. They put butter in the broth for some odd reason. This was confirmed by the chef/cook. When I was shocked, the server told me, «It’s just a little butter, so you shouldn’t worry. Just order it.» No morals, no principles. You have to ask, what other short cuts do they take or lies about their ingredients in all of their food? I have been lied to for quite a long period at this place. Please do not give them your business whether carnivore, omnivore, vegetarian or vegan.

Love this place for Phở. Best Phở EVER and very reasonably priced. My friends and I come frequently. I always like to get the spring roll to start– they are very big and are the«fresh» kind with vermicelli and peanut sauce, not the fried kind. Just one will do! This place doesn’t look so great from the outside, and of course seating is limited, but if it is a cold, rainy Seattle day or you’re feeling under the weather, this is your go-to phở spot. Service is quick and friendly, too.

This place isn’t to shabby. It’s definitely dated but the food isn’t a bad at all. I think it is bordering half americanized and traditional Vietnamese. Service is great and the menu is nice and full of food choices. I think this is a good place to go to if you are in the area and have a hankering for Vietnamese.

Food: 3.5. Solid but not mind-blowing. Better at good places in Bay Area. Service: 4. Helpful but a little unenthusiastic. A good find in Queen Anne. Basics are good — vermicelli bowl and phở, but the broth could be tastier IMO. I’d do it again, but probably will keep looking for a favorite around here.

We decide to pop in here after visiting the space needle on the way back to our hotel. We eat phở quite frequently at home and thought we would try some on the road. The place is really small. At 8 o’clock on a Thursday night we got the last seat in the restaurant. The ambience is really nice though. It’s a whole lot better than most phở places. The menu was buried with vermicelli noodles and other dishes. I like the fact that they had vegetarian broth because a lot of places don’t, and I try to be as strict as I can about beef. The vegetarian spring roll was pretty good but it had a little too much jicama and not enough noodles for my taste. The soup was delivered very quickly and it was pretty good. Nothing to complain about. It was called seafood phở but it only had shrimp in it. The server never did return back to the table to get more water, etc. but it was very busy so I can understand. Overall a very nice place to get a quick fix of nice Vietnamese broth.

The positive thing I can say is that we met many wonderful folks at the tables around us. The problem was, we all bonded over the horrible service. We have been here many times over the years with no problems. We were last here a few months ago and the service was bad, but we hoped it was a one time event. We were wrong. It took over 20 minutes before we realized that not only had we not had our order taken, but the table next to us who got there before us haven’t given their order yet. Another 15 minutes went by before they took our order. Another 15 minutes went by and they told us they lost our order. So we ordered again. Meanwhile we talked to a woman at another table who said they messed up her order. Then the other table only got half their order. Finally they brought the rest of that tables order and then brought ours. At this point we just wanted to eat and get out. When they brought the check, it was nothing we ordered, so we gave it back and the waitress looked pissed off. Another 10 minutes went by and we still hadn’t gotten a check, So my wife went up to ask for it. Then the staff started arguing with each other because they couldn’t find it Long story short, we finally paid. And will never go back.

A little bit on the pricier side for small bowl of phở($ 8) but it was worth it and definitely cured our hang overs. The servers catered to us very well, great service.

I have fond memories here! This is the best place for vegetarian phở. They give you lots of vegetables and tofu. It is so delicious and I love how it is so big and warm when it comes to you. I also love their huge water glasses so you are never Thirsty. I have never tried anything else other then their phở but when others order it, it looks delicious! I am a fan of this spot! My Personal Restaurant Rating Key One star: the food was bad and I had a negative experience. Two star: I had a more negative experience and would not come here again but the food was good so I may. Three store: Everything is good except one thing. Example-the food is good, the price is more reasonable but the atmosphere is lacking class. Or the food is good, the atmosphere is good, but they over charged us. These three stars are actually my favorite types of restaurants to go eat at if the reason is due to the atmosphere because they are usually delicious and reasonably priced. Four stars: Everything is great, food and experience. However the price is definitely on the upper end. I would not recommend this first to Obama unless he didn’t like my five stars. These are restaurants you can take your boss or your mother-in-laws to impress them, however they still don’t fit into the five star category. A bit fancier than my three stars, hence I don’t often eat here unless there is an occasion for it or there is a groupon that gives me a bit of a discount! Five stars: I would recommend this to Obama. The price may be on the upper end but the experience and the taste is so exquisite, it is actually worth every nickel and dime.

Queen Anne Phở with outdoor patio and super amazing broth. I wasn’t used to having to pay $ 2 extra for tendon when almost every other phở destination in Seattle has it in their menu. Regardless, service was quick and I went with the brisket and meatball. It’s a bit pricier at almost $ 9 for«small» at lunch but well worth not having to park around Than Brothers on Mercer which is next to impossible there. I found a free street spot around the corner for Viet Anh. The long outdoor patio is a real gem in Queen Anne during the hot and sunny days here. 5 stars if they shave a couple bucks off their prices. The small size was good enough for a filling lunch for me, no free dessert but I thoroughly enjoyed the authentic music and décor of the restaurant.
