This is an excellent old school bar… nice selection of beers. Reasonably priced. They have a Golden Tee machine. Service was prompt. They had street parking right out front. I’ve heard that the cheap tacos and beers on Wednesdays are the ticket. I will be back on a Wednesday to give it a try soon.

Real swell! Ok, sometimes they have some absurd deal like $ 1 Highlifes! I think that is on Tuesday along with taco Tuesday that features something like $ 1 tacos. It is not my favorite taco Tuesday in town but it is pretty good. They also have other cheap drink specials depending on the night. Every time I come here I am refreshed by the pricing. The atmosphere is cozy, and it is a good place to take in a baseball game!

My wife and I found this gem while playing in Seattle for the day. Free street parking can be found. Be sure to watch the time limits. Some are 1 hour and some are 2 hours. The entrance is covered in ivy, making it hard to truly notice. What caught my eye was the rainbow flag in the window. Sold. The ivy adds charm to this 1930’s building. The tables and stools are all wooden. We sat at a darling nook table while enjoying our lunch. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Drink and food orders are placed at the bar. My wife and I each swiggled a Manny’s for $ 5 each. For our lunch we shared the BLT sandwich for $ 6.75. The prices are fair and the staff down-to-earth. Thank you Roanoake for the local slurps and fresh sandwich.

I’ve been going to the Noke for 20 years and there’s no reason to stop now. A perfect rendezvous spot for a pack of old friends. Lots of street parking, a chill vibe, and sports always on. The staff is chill and beer pong tables newly painted. I only wish they had outside lighting for night pong, but alas, it’s a neighborhood bar and folks need to sleep. Happy they invested in new pong tables.

It’s only a «dive» in the price and interior styles when compared to a lot of new(expensive) places. I loved the happy hour Wednesday special of $ 1 taco’s, and $ 1 Miller cans! Tacos cooked fresh, and added to a hard shell filled me up easy with 2 beers. $ 4 plus a $ 2 tip equals a great after work stop, and a new spot to bring friends for a affordable drink. $ 15 pitchers btw.

Very chill, good bar food, dollar tacos on Wednesdays. Bartenders are quick to learn names of regulars and are friendly to newcomers.

One of the chillest bars that I have been to in Seattle thus far. It has a nice, quaint, neighborhood-bar vibe to it and it’s the perfect place to enjoy a nice evening off from school or work. If I had to classify it, I’d say that it is a sports bar with just the right amount of televisions — enough so that everyone can see from every angle but not so much that you feel like the color is constantly changing whenever you blink. In terms of food and drinks, I had a great 7 Seas amber ale(Gig Harbor) that was just put on tap today. My friend recommended it and it was delicious. To top it off, the bartender forgot to ring me up for it and actually said it was on the house when I inquired about paying for it. I gave her a $ 3 tip for the drink for being so awesome. The nachos were just so-so in my opinion, but the burger with bleu cheese was good. Strangely enough, the taste of the patty reminded me a lot of In-N-Out…lol…only bigger. The bleu cheese really brought together the ensemble of meat, lettuce, tomatoes, and bread, and I was satisfied with my meal. The only thing I wish they offered was french fries on the side instead of Tim’s chips, tortilla chips, or salad. I love all the sides that were offered individually, but when it comes to eating a burger I always prefer to have«fries with that.» Overall, sweet spot with a nice atmosphere and a great place to hang out during happy hour if you’re in the area.

Nice little neighborhood spot. Small little garden patio with some table tennis. Get the feeling the older guys that hold down their bar stools might have reserved seats and possibly get a little irked at new combers that take ‘their spot’

Definitely not a dive bar. It’s a nice locals spot where you can take your dad, watch the game and have a beer. Good prices on drinks and everyone is pretty friendly here.

My friend and I just moved to the neighborhood and was really hoping this bar would be aweome, considering it the only one close to our apartment; but we were sadly let dwon. The whole place smelt like after shave and was dark and dingy; the only real hope for it being remotely entertaining was the ping pong tables, but that was the most disappointing part. We got there at 8 pm on Saturday night and it was pitch black outside(where the tables are) I asked if we could have paddles and some lights but they declined us because of the neighbors. They know they live right next to a bar! A bar they probably never go to! They don’t even let people outside after 10… what. I understand this isn’t the bar tenders fault(who was the only one there) but this place seriously needs an upgrade.

A pretty stereotypical, average sports bar. Several TV’s, a good selection of microbrews, friendly waitstaff.

I love this place. Friendly crowd and Staff, ping pong in the back yard and stiff drinks. Yesterday, I left my scarf at the bar and the lovely bartender ran up the street to catch up to me and return it! Thank you so much! I’m sorry I didn’t get her name.

Chill, Seattle neighborhood bar. Nice amount of TVs for the space, and really not a bad seat in the house for catching a game. I’ve been on all nights of the week and if you want a cold beer, some tasty nachos or quesadilla this is a solid choice. It’s located right off I-5 and 520 so it tends to be a neutral spot for folks coming from around and out of Seattle. Plus lots of street parking(park on the overpass, when allowed). I’ve been here with small groups 2 – 3 people, and larger groups 10 – 20. Maybe the people that had bad experiences were being douchey? Jk lol. I don’t know you, so I won’t judge, but I’ve always had a good experience.

Neighborhood bar with some ping-pong. This place had good drinks but bad food. Chili, salad, etc. If you are starving and must eat then they have sustenance. Come for a beer and play some ping-pong.

Neighborhood watering hole I found while walking back from visiting Bruce and Brandon Lee’s grave. Great feel to the place with regulars saying hi as they walked in. Very unpretentious and friendly… a classic divey local bar. Had a decent selection of beer and spirits…

I’ve been going by this place for years and I’ve always been intrigued by the sign board. I finally dropped by last night(Friday) expecting some low key neighborhood pub. To put it simply, this place is awesome and defies classification. It’s low key and lively at the same time. There’s tons of seating, but most people were standing. You can have it either way. Regarding beer — their selection spans the typical PNW beers(Manny’s Mac and Jack’s, Hales, + tons of rotating taps), budget beers(Bud Light, Rainier, PBR, Kokanee), and Irish/European(Bitburger, Harp, Guiness). The clientele was diverse too. All ages and good mix of genders. And did I mention they have TVs? It’s a rarity in Seattle, but they have them. Three TVs tuned to different channels. I don’t think anyone was watching them Fri night, but I’ll probably drop by to check out some sports in the future.

Loved the look of this place, all covered with vines outside. We parked just down the way, sort of in the back, not too far. Came here on a Wed. night for Taco Night. It was $ 1 High Life and $ 1 tacos! Awesomeness. We had a great time and the service was pretty good, too. I will come here again to hang out and have a fun time with friends :)

Leafy green vines tie the façade to the earth, hinting at neon-lit memory loss. In I go. Never to return? Nah. PGA highlights and a backlit bottle of Tanqueray provide the only green on this day o’ the Irish. I don’t include my own St. Pat’s garb and, no lady, seafoam doesn’t count. Wednesday only: Delicious, hard-shelled, ground beef tacos and PBRs are sold for a buck. The PBRs are served in their original soggy box by the dozen or by the can; The tacos, with a handful of tortilla chips. Bullets: –Wifi -$ 1 Beers/Tacos on Wednesday –Dark –Dive –a baker’s dozen beers on tap –Semi-attentive, very friendly bartender, Dennis

Roanoke Park Place Tavern is N. Capitol Hill’s version of the secret garden. The brick tavern is easy to miss behind the mass tangles of ivy growing from the ground that cover every inch of the building’s front. When you step in the easy-to-miss door, you won’t think much of the tavern. Regulars line the bar, the tables are mostly empty and sports play on the tv, all of which help deter the unadventurous from wandering further in. For those brave few, who keep on trucking through the bar and head out back, a treasure awaits. A treasure otherwise known as the elusive BACKPATIO. The back patio is where it’s at. Honestly, it’s worth five stars alone. Shade and trees. With the amount of plants and trees bordering the two-level patio, one might think they had stepped into an arboretum. Okay, maybe it’s not that green, but seriously, there’s plants and there’s shade! There are plenty of seats scattered around the patio, but if you’re outside, you’re probably not sitting down. Why? Ping pong! That’s right, two new, official size tables. None of that plywood business here, folks. These tables are legit. With the 49 bus stop right out front, this tavern is just begging you to find it.
