We hired Ryan and his crew for a bunch of work on our backyard renovation, including a new deck /​carport, automatic gate system for vehicles entering from the alley, and a fence.
Short version: They did an awesome job. Super happy with how everything turned out, absolutely love our new backyard.
Long version: Ryan helped with some of the planning initially, came up with a plan for the gate system that would work well for the limited space we had to work with. The deck construction began after we had a landscaping company regrade the yard and put down pavers and a new retaining wall. Ryan found some problems with the previous deck construction that was causing some water damage to the house, including some rot in the door frame for the deck. Recommended that we replace the door frame and they also redid the trim and flashing around the door to correct the water problems from the previous construction. The new deck is 200+ sq ft, with PVC decking and a wooden railing with a nice design that looks great while providing ample privacy. A waterproofing system was installed on the underside of the deck to keep the area underneath where we park vehicles protected from rain & snow. Super happy with it, have gotten many complements from neighbors and guests we’ve had over to visit.
The automatic gate system is super slick. Previously we had a large hinged gate that swung into the alley, required getting out of the car, opening the gate, ensuring it would stay open and not start swinging closed while you were driving in. In other words: a complete pain in the ass to use. We wanted to install an automatic sliding gate to make getting the car in and out of the yard effortless. Now we have a gate that slides open and closed with the click of a remote button. Initially we were thinking of doing a rolling gate system, but Ryan convinced us to go with a cantilever system. The fencing built around the gate system has a designated trash area, with an access door we can use without having to go out into the alley. The paneling on the gate & fence was done to match the railing on the deck, so everything looks awesome together.
Ryan was very communicative throughout the project, never difficult to get ahold of and responsive to any questions or issues that came up along the way. He was also very accommodating to any changes or requests we had mid-​project. Definitely stands by his work as well. After the project wrapped up, we found a couple things that needed fixing up. They were back within few days to button those up.

Ryan was prompt with a quote and walked us though the entire estimate. Extremely reasonable price.
His crew was able to work on a short time line, were professional and provided quality work on replacing our deck.
We have received a number of compliments on the work! We will be hiring him and his crew again in the future!
