I have shopped here for years. The two employees they keep out front are expected to fill a lot of internet orders, answer phones, and run the front end. If you are coming here for expert advice you are going to be disappointed. They do customer service the way I like it(fast and sans chit chat). It is 2016 do your research on line before wasting their time. The biggest issue with this store is the ownership. They are content with a bad web site, then they consistently under-man the people who fill the orders for walk-ins and the internet, to top that off the employees are not particularly knowledgeable. Their best feature is their selection.

They have a large selection of fabrics, which is about all they have going for them. I just spent 15 – 20 minutes walking around and neither of the two employees working there said a word to me even after I walked past and made eye-contact with one of them. Rude.

I saw the some reviews about poor service, we didn’t get a hug when we came in the door but the young woman we asked for help was polite and took the time to help my wife find what she needed for her projects. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. They had an awesome selection and took care of us, what more can you say?

Warning! Buyer Beware! I needed some neoprene for some prototypes. I ordered a few feet of 3 mm and a few feet of 4 mm. I waited a few days thinking they would process my order. Nothing. I reached out for an update on shipping. They said it would ship out within the following few days… But I could pay extra to ge moved to the top of the stack. What?!? Really!!! So basically you sit on orders for a week… so that customers will get frustrated and then you can extort more money out of them to bump them up on the ship list… Making other customers have to wait even longer!!! I needed the neoprene so I paid the extortion fee. IMO, In today’s world sitting on an order for a week before shipping is unacceptable. Extorting added fees to bump customers up is straight off the Chicago streets many years ago. With the high prices they charge maybe they should hire someone to handle shipping and handling. Then maybe they could ship in a decent amount of time(without extortion fees). I have never seen such an unprofessional operation… Across any industry… Anywhere in the country.
