Seattle Movers

Seattle Movers helped with my moved this week from Seattle to Kirkland and they were fantastic. Adrian and Joel were professional, nice, fast, and really great at packing the truck. I contacted about 4 different movers for quotes and Seattle Movers was ½ the cost of other local movers. Could not have asked for a better experience.

we’ve used seattle movers twice now. both times, they’ve been quick, careful, efficient, and friendly. this time around we were moved by victor and mike, they were awesomesauce. you can trust these guys with your stuff.

Suddath was professional, helpful and friendly in moving us from the UK to the USA. They saved us from a disaster situation with a prior shipper who had «lost» 10 boxes of our personal belongings. We hired Suddath to take over. Suddath picked up the boxes (which were recovered), repacked and inventoried the contents and quickly and safely delivered everything to our doorstep without any hassle and not a single thing broken. I would highly recommend them!

I was very disappointed with the service. My move was relatively light and I usually have a couple of friends over who help me out. This time I had a leather reclining couch that needed disassembly and reassembling because my apartment door was too narrow and the entrance wasn’t wide enough to take the couch as a whole. So I decided to opt for professional movers. Big mistake …
After most of my furniture and the bed was done, the couch was all that remained. The movers and I took a look at the screws and bolts below the couch. We had no idea how to disassemble the thing and were making guesses. Finally the movers decided it wasn’t worth their time and left me stranded with no help at all. One of the movers did contact the owner to let him know that he couldn’t fulfil his obligation and left me with a big fat check which added an extra half hour. I was too tired to argue since I had a ton of stuff to do and was still tense about the couch.
There were a few things that really disappointed me:
1) How did the movers not figure out the disassembly for the couch. They are professional movers after all and need to know this stuff? Ultimately, I called a friend over from work. We sat for an hour and figured out what needs to be done to disassemble it. Us, a couple of amateurs could figure it out and professional movers couldn’t?
2) I had told the owner that I had a couch that needed to be disassembled. It wasn’t a surprise. The movers were ill prepared and didn’t have the necessary tools.
3) I was tense since I was left with a couch and no help at all. I had to move out by end of day and this was an issue that had to be tackled in the next few hours. The owner never got back to me to even ask how things were going. At the least, the movers could have opted to say that they will consult professionals and get back to me. Nada.
4) When businesses can’t fulfil their obligations, they usually discount services or do something to say that they care. I didn’t get anything here. The movers were ready to go for their next haul and wanted to get out as fast as possible.
The only good thing about this experience was that the movers were friendly. So I can’t fault them for being rude or anything. But in this competitive world, there are expectations for businesses. If they can’t fulfill these expectations, they need to refund money back and that is the truth. I’m giving my business to someone else next time.

Had to move within Seattle on Aug 10. Had Leland and Fred — both were great. They were professional, fast, very thorough and took care moving my items. I let them know what was fragile and even the items that weren’t were cared for greatly. No breakages.
They called little earlier than expected, but since I was all ready — was good for me. The final charge fell within range of the estimate.

Terrible. Awful. Such a stressful experience. Not only did they show up 30mins past the 2hour window they had given me, but there was no phone call to let me know they would be late. They then proceeded to take their sweet time.
When we got to my new apartment they were unable to get our couch to fit… I’ll give them that it’s a large couch, but it has fit into 3 other apartments. And one of those my mom and I moved it in! I was expecting so much more from professional movers. When it was decided that the couch wouldn’t fit down the hallway inside the apartment, they took it back downstairs, but in the meantime managed to get it stuck in the stairwell…
The worst is that there are now major scuffs and paint from the stairwell on both my couch and chair. There are large dings in the walls of our complex stairwell… And they managed to BREAK a closet door in our new apartment that our landlord had to come repair. I will never use Seattle Movers again.

Can’t say enough about how excellent the service was from Seattle Movers. Leland and Joel arrived before the scheduled time and were extremely professional. I was amazed at how fast they finished the move that incorporated two stops before the final destination. They destroyed the quote I was given and ended up saving me some money, all while being extremely personable and friendly.
Hands down the best money I’ve ever spent — ill be using Seattle Movers the next time I move as well. Thanks!

This is the best moving company! I have lived in ten different states and have moved countless times, and have never had such a good moving service experience. Two weeks before we needed to move from Belltown to Green Lake, I called the company based on a friend’s recommendation and reached Martin Cook, the sales rep for Seatte movers. To my surprise, he had time in the schedule for two weeks out (in July– what I think must be a busy moving month) and we scheduled the move. The estimate was fair, made sense, and was emailed to me promptly along with other required paperwork, all of which was straightforward and easy to understand. Closer to the move I had a few questions and put in a phone call to Martin. He returned my call promptly and answered all of my questions right away.
Leland and Josh H. of Seattle Movers called ten minutes early for a 9am move to say they found their way into the alley behind our condo building and to ask the procedure for parking and coming up to the unit. They were so friendly! My husband had to work for a little bit in the AM before our move and did not make it to the condo until an hour into the move. I had been nervous beforehand about being with the movers alone for a little while (because I’ve had some pretty rough and sketchy movers show up to previous moves) but these guys were kind and helpful from the get-​go and I felt completely comfortable with them.
Leland and Josh H. were fast and careful at the same time. It was incredible how they used so much power to lift heavy items (an entire heavy wood RH nightstand with one person in one lift! An oversized/​luxe eight foot RH sleeper sofa!) yet used so much finesse to maneuver items around and delicately place each item down. Moving is like an art to these guys! They (almost!) make it look easy, and they seem to enjoy the hard work they do in their job. Throughout the move, they continued to be polite and talk lightly with my husband and me, yet they never slowed down. We could even see them through a second floor window in our new house, and they never slowed down walking back from their truck or anything. Their strength, energy, speed, care, and integrity were admirable.
What else? We have a very tiny stairway leading to the bedrooms on the second floor and they not only got our queen-​sized bed up there, they also got the CALIFORNIA QUEEN-​sized bed up there. There is no way on Earth my husband and I could have done this move without Leland, Josh H., and Seattle Movers. They set everything up how we wanted, and then when we changed our mind about a few items they happily moved things around (we didn’t ask them to rearrange the beds– don’t worry, we’re not terrible!).
At the end of the move Leland and Josh went out to their truck to draw up the paperwork. They came inside a few minutes later with the Bill of Lading, or the invoice. The bill was spot-​on, exactly what we thought we would be billed (based on hours). The invoice was higher than the estimate, but we expected that because we have a ton of stuff and some unique, extra heavy pieces that just take extra time (we requested they get wrapped in Saran Wrap for protection, for instance). They remembered to take time off for their lunch, we did not have to remind them or haggle over any details. They remembered to account for the deposit. Everything was straightforward and easy, and such a relief!
I would recommend Seattle Movers to any of my friends, and we will use them again when we move next time. Thank you to Leland, Josh H. and Seattle Movers!

All of the stuff in my previous review stand, except now that I’ve contacted them a dozen times they have not responded to me and have not paid for the damaged items. Boo!

Best moving company ever! They gave me a competitive rate, they gave me the day and time I needed, the movers were polite and helpful, I am 100% satisfied!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. From requesting a quote to the actual move it was a piece of cake.
After another company changed our date, and a second came in three times the quote for Seattle Movers we couldn’t be happier.
Bob and Josh called us an hour before our scheduled time to let us know they were on their way. They arrived right on time and didn’t waste a second before starting the move. They, carefully and expertly, cleared our 2 bedroom (780 sq ft.) apartment in about 2 hours. The unload was even quicker and our total time with travel was 4.25 hours.

My husband and I used these guys recently to move from Seattle about an hour north. They were easy to work with from start to finish — showed up on time, worked hard, and did everything we asked. Nothing damaged either! I’d definitely use them again and recommend to others.

I just moved myself and I hired Seattle Movers. I was blown away! Tim and Josh helped me move for 5 hours, from Bellevue, to Magnolia, to two stops in West Seattle. They were so friendly AND once they were finished with each load, they would hustle back to the truck for the next. When you are paying in 15 minute increments, this makes a big difference!
I can not speak highly enough about the job Tim and Josh did. GREAT work boys!

Seattle Movers was great. My husband decided to pack everything in one night — so needless to say, things weren’t packed well… and boxes weren’t labeled. The guys showed up right on time, had to deal with the fact that they had to park in an alley at our place, and they were so quick that we paid less than what they had quoted us. They were so thoughtful when they were moving the boxes into the new place — they tried to guess what boxes should go where in the new home (which was near impossible because of the lack of labeling). I don’t want to move anytime soon, but if I do, i’ll be giving these guys a call!

We did not use these guys to move, but our neighbor did. Our new neighbor is a very nice man, but the movers had MAJOR temper issues about having to move their truck so we could leave. He actually dropped a load on the sidewalk and charged towards us because he couldn’t believe we asked him to pull forward. Soo so so unprofessional, disrespectful, and rude! Not to mention they dropped his couch going up the stairs when our neighbor wasn’t present. This moving guy needs a talking to, or be terminated if he can’t handle it.

Everything about working with Seattle Movers was awesome.
Getting a quote from their website was a piece of cake. I emailed with Martin a few times and he gave me a price range that was almost half that of other companies I talked to. There was even a form I could fill out on their website to catalog our belongings so everyone knew what they were getting into.
On moving day Tim and Bob showed up five minutes early, already in the alley behind our apartment building. They didn’t waste any time at all. Bob set up the truck and Tim walked me through the paperwork. As soon as we got up to our apartment they started loading things up. Careful, professional, and insanely fast. They cleared our entire one bedroom (773 sq ft) apartment in 90 minutes. They were also really fun to talk to, but never stopped working to chat. I was just blown away.
They zipped over to our new place and again pulled into the alley without even having to call. When I had the building manager show me how to open the garage for them their truck was already there. The unloaded just as fast, asking where I wanted things and setting it all up great.
Martin had originally quoted me five to seven hours (including travel time), but Tim and Bob wrapped the whole thing up in four and a half. Just amazing! When it came time to pay they used the card I had on file for the deposit, so I didn’t have to provide anything. It couldn’t have been easier.
We’ll definitely be using them when it comes time to move again.

These guys are awesome. By far, the best deal out there that I could find. And best part, their crew was on time, fast, funny, very helpful and made it all seem really easy. Hopefully we don’t have to move soon, but I will recommend them to all my friends! Couldn’t have asked for a better moving experience.

It’s always so scary to select a moving company since you never know if they will hustle, be professional, be careful with your items, and so on, but these guys knocked it out. They were on time, professional, friendly, patient and finished the move in record time. Victor, Josh and Kyle were outstanding. Go with Seattle Movers and you will not be let down.

We used Seattle Movers to move our of our apartment into our new home. These guys are as good as it gets! Tim and Bob were our movers and not only were they extremely friendly, they were very fast. We moved out of our apartments and into our new home in half the time our previous move took with another company… saving us a few hundred dollars.
If you are moving in the Seattle area, these guys are the way to go. Request Tim and Bob, they were fantastic!

Had the pleasure of using Seattle Movers for our latest move from South Lake Union to Capitol Hill. The movers (2 guys) showed up a little bit before their schedule arrival time (which was great) and they were very professional, personable, and relatively quick. We had most of our boxes already packed up and ready for them to load, but they did break down our bed and move a few heavier pieces (desk, couch, kitchen table, etc…). All in all I was happy with the service and would feel comfortable recommending them to anyone who needed help with a move.
