I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 12+ years, and always found this mart to have what I was looking for. I would have given them 5 stars, but their insistence on checking IDs for anyone under the age of 40 sometimes delays my check-out process.

This spot is the best little shop ever! Always friendly and Lee asks about my friends who’ve visited the store and how my luck with the ladies is coming. Ann is also very kind and smily. The«change shake» is a nice touch and I enjoy giving my munchy money to these kind folks. If they left I would actually be really sad. Once my dog peed on the firewood bundles inside and Lee was so cool about it. He gave me a towel and never mentoned it. Very peaceful feelings.

I can’t really add anything that Inna B didn’t say, but I wanted to add another 5 star rating, cause the family that runs this place is very considerate lot. Both Lee and Ann(his wife) and their daughter run the store. They’ve made every effort to accommodate special requests and to diversify their store.

We just moved to this area, but I completely agree with what Inna and Tony say. SP Mart reminds me that locally run is so much better(provided the people running it are) than some of the larger chains(including the one across the street). The selection is great, the people are friendly and the prices much better.

Mr. Lee runs a great shop. It has everything that you want from a convenience store, but that’s to be expected. The real difference is the service. When I walk into SP mart, I’m always greeting with a «Heyyyy!» and I give a «Heyyyyy!» back. Seeing Mr. Lee brightens up my day. Some of the perks: — Mr. Lee gladly accepts credit and debit cards, and provides some cardboard for you to write on. — Mr. Lee gives fist pounds after he gives you your change back. — Mr. Lee once tricked me into clicking a gun lighter that shocked my hand. Nicest man in the world, I swear. Go to SP mart if you live in the area.

This is an awesome mini-mart within walking distance of where I live and we recommend all our friends to go there when they’re visiting us and mention wanting to go grab a drink/munchies/cigarettes/etc. + They keep a notepad for you to write down anything you want that they don’t currently have in stock.(This has worked for juice, ice cream flavors, tobacco products, etc.) + What we love there: Mexican Coca Cola(They use REAL sugar!) and Haagen-Dazs Green Tea ice cream. + There is a pretty decent wine selection(and I’m pretty sure they’d start stocking anything you request!). Last time I was in there Lee pointed out wine from Australia and another organic wine… + Most times we come in, we get our coins shaken for good luck :) + Lee seems to recognize everyone after a couple visits, and when my old roommate walked in there recently she got a «I haven’t seen you in a long time! Where did you go?» kind of response. Beyond the product and everything else… I just LOVE it when people working at a business are friendly AND remember you.
