The atmosphere is great, nice selection on tap but the food is lacking. My fried chicken was extremely dry and over cooked. My guest had the BBQ ribs which were not tender and needed longer cooking. Sautéed Vegas were tasty but cold. Kitchen needs work!!!

The game was on the night we were in and it was pretty crowded, they could have used a bit more staff. Our waitress was quick with us, moving around the place to many tables. It seemed like small groups, 2 – 3, were not her top priority. We were hopping around to a couple places that evening so we just ordered the pretzels and a couple beers. The pretzels(two twist rolls) were really good actually, as was the pub mustard! Other than the ‘so-so’ service, I’d definitely return during happy hour and try out some more food.

Lots of TV’s for the games and even more beers on tap. I really liked the brown sugar beer and grapefruit one as well. Their brunch was really good, especially the braised pork Benedict. Will definitely be back.

Stout is the perfect place to watch a game + satisfy your need for good brunch food and drinks. I love how large the restaurant is, so you can actually come with a large group(like 10+ people) and know that your group can find ample seating. On top of that, the service is prompt and extremely friendly. Even during a playoff game when the restaurant was packed, everyone who worked there was full of smiles. Brunch Food: We ordered the«basic breakfast» and it was really good. My girlfriend was in love with the jam they serve alongside the biscuit, and you can easily make a breakfast sandwich OR eat everything separate. Drinks: The«Pepper Mary» was awesome, actually. It’s been difficult to find a «simple» bloody mary that I like in Seattle, because I tend to prefer them full of the trimmings(like bacon, cheese, olives, celery, etc…). This bloody mary was on the more simple side with only a garnish of an olive and lime. Stil, it was delicious and one I definitely recommend. My girlfriend ordered the Obsidian Michelada, a really unique drink. It includes: Dry Fly Washington Wheat Whiskey, Ancho Reyes, chili liqueur, bloody mary mix, lime juice, and Deschutes Obsidian stout. I’m not a huge fan of dark beers, but the bloody mary mixed helped sweeten the taste of the beer. If you’re feeling adventurous, I’d suggest ordering this one. Service: The service was awesome, especially the host. No complaints.

This place was great. The dark furnishings and the tvs paint the perfect atmosphere for this establishment. I can’t tell how friendly the staff was, you’re just going to have to see them for yourself. They were very inviting and knew the menu and the descriptions of their product. Their draft selection was great. I got a drink from my old hometown of San Diego, and it instantly brought me back home. This place knows their brews. We also had ordered the salted pretzels. Man these were succulent and warm. My only problem was that the salt was very intense. But the honey mustard was able to balance out the salt. No complaints here :)

We enjoyed our evening here. They were running a great selection of taps, with more options in bottles. The bartender was friendly, knowledgeable and even offered us a little taste of one of the more unusual beers. The food was… OK. But some solid happy hour options. I wanted to like the cavernous space and décor a bit more that I did. It was very quiet when we were there; not sure I’d want to visit during a game. All in all a good experience. Definitely a welcome option for craft beer on The Hill.

I want to say that I really liked this place. I want to say that the food was awesome and that I cannot wait to come back again but unfortunately I am not able to say this. My boyfriend and I went here to enjoy the Seahawks game and to have brunch and while the beer selection is great and the menu sounded amazing the experience was lackluster. I ordered the Morning After burger(medium temp with the onions on the side) and was expecting a delicious burger. Only to be disappointed the burger which is a blend of sirloin and bacon tasted like it was just seasoned with smoke flavoring and was way overcooked. The fried egg that was supposed to be on top was cooked too quickly to the point that the whites were barely cooked. The burger had arugula on it which was not listed as being on the burger because if it had been listed I would have asked to not have it on my burger. I ended up sending it back and requested that it be taken off the bill. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken and Gravy off of the brunch menu and it was supposed to be a boneless chicken thigh with two poached eggs; instead he received a giant over fried and dry boneless chicken breast with one lightly poached egg and one hard boiled egg. He ate his menu and said it was okay but not what he expected. Overall, the staff was great and the selection of beers is worth coming here for but I don’t think we will be back for food.

Awesome Bar! ‘Nuff said! *grin* This is a casual environment with an industrial and modern feel but still very comfortable and cozy to hang out at. It is very inviting from the street. It’s right on the corner and very easy to access. You can’t miss it! I came by late on a Monday and there wasn’t much of a crowd. It was across the street from where I go Salsa dancing… Very convenient! There’s a huge screen TV to watch the football game and many other TVs situated around the area. No matter where you sit, you’ll have a view of what’s playing at the time. I wish I had gotten the name of our bartender and service person. My bad! They were amazing! Excellent service and great sense of humor. There’s a looooong list of beers available on tap and on bottles. It was tough to make a choice. They do have a selection of wines but not much but still a good list. The cabernet I had was a full-bodied cab and very delicious. We only had fries on the side. OMG! They are soooo good! They had a nice crunch on the outside and was seasoned perfectly. We had also ordered pretzels with some sort of bacon dip. Also very good! Both dishes came out very hot! I will definitely be back here to watch a Hawks game! I’ll update this review when I come back here on a busy time. I highly recommend this place!

Awesome place to watch the game. Spacious, not too many people, HUGE TVs where they turn the volume up so you can hear the game. Awesome selection of beers(my favorite kind — STOUTS!!) and the waiters really know some good recommendations for beer. The only thing is that I often like to munch on some foods while I watch and unfortunately, I think, with the exception of the flatbreads, the rest of the menu is only okay. Although I did only order from the HH menu when I was here last, I was not really impressed. I’ll definitely be coming back, but probably just for the beers~

This is my apartment’s go-to watering hole. Their happy hour deals are great — $ 2 off draft beer Mon-Thur after 9. Great food here and wonderful service; never had a bad interaction with any of the servers or bartenders. A little bit more pricey for food but it’s worth it; very tasty. Best of all, this place doesn’t seem to get as busy as some of the other bars/clubs in Capitol Hill. Even on a crazy Friday night you can still find a table. And they’ve got tons of TVs so you can always get a good view of the game.

Above average bar food However, being a sports bar, they seriously lack a lot channels. No nba league pass, no big ten network

I was very impressed by this place and this may be my favorite Seahawks game day location. The place was packed but not too crazy, the food was delicious, the TV is sorta small but good enough non the less. Above all, the service was fantastic! It is a large sized restaurant bar, hipster looking. The food itself was absolutely wonderfully tasty. I think any foodie will give it an A+. They have the generic American cuisine but it seems like they do put a little bit of their own spin to it. After we left, I realized that I forgot my phone at the restaurant and was so impressed by how efficient the staff members where. I called in and even though they were super busy, it was quickly communicated that they had saved my phone with the manager. Then when I got there, it seemed like another staff member already was anticipating I’d come. They were all so helpful and seemed like they enjoyed their work environment which always produces good service results. I would come here again for happy hour during another football game. It is filled but with a nice crowd. Not too quiet and not to overly rowdy. My Personal Restaurant Rating Key One star: the food was bad and I had a negative experience. Two star: I had a more negative experience and would not come here again but the food was good so I may. Three store: Everything is good except one thing. Example-the food is good, the price is more reasonable but the atmosphere is lacking class. Or the food is good, the atmosphere is good, but they over charged us. These three stars are actually my favorite types of restaurants to go eat at if the reason is due to the atmosphere because they are usually delicious and reasonably priced. Four stars: Everything is great, food and experience. However the price is definitely on the upper end. I would not recommend this first to Obama unless he didn’t like my five stars. These are restaurants you can take your boss or your mother-in-laws to impress them, however they still don’t fit into the five star category. A bit fancier than my three stars, hence I don’t often eat here unless there is an occasion for it or there is a groupon that gives me a bit of a discount! Five stars: I would recommend this to Obama. The price may be on the upper end but the experience and the taste is so exquisite, it is actually worth every nickel and dime.

Came here late at night for happy hour drinks and food(after 10pm). It has a sports bar feel and we had a large party of 12. Got their fried chicken which was pretty good with their sweet sauce on the side! Also got a glass of malbec wine(my favorite). Overall, I would have rated this place higher since their food quality and drink menu were pretty good, but their service wasn’t that great, which is why i’m bringing this overall rating down to 3 stars. Granted, they were pretty understaffed for our large party, but when we need to go searching for the waitresses for our check, you know there’s an issue.

Stout’s passing out Skittles on Game Days! Our group arrived a few minutes past kickoff(sacrilege! I know) and were still seated at a nice table where everyone had a great view to a screen. The tall ceilings and big tables let you feel relaxed in a sports bar environment, and the décor shouts modern where non-sports fans can come out and not feel like a gym locker exploded all over the place. The steak was under average for me. The meat was thin-cut, dry, no marbling, and flat on flavor, with quality reminiscent of those steak&eggs specials you can get off the Strip in Vegas for $ 5.99. The frites(let’s just call them frys) were yum. 4 stars for no-wait, ample seating room, cool décor and free Beastmode power pellets. Just avoid the steak.

Stout is a very modern yet casual bar with a very good appetizer and beer menu. The food is excellent and there is a little bit for everyone; corn dogs, pretzels with dipping sauces, flatbreads, and even mac and cheese! Their local selection of brews has a bit of everything and the prices are really good. They served us the water and non alcoholic beverages in mason jars and the staff declared the place has a little hipster vibe. The crowd was young, the beer fresh and the ambiance excellent for having a lengthy and relaxed conversation. Our waitress Tina was awesome! The orders were taken fast and the meals arrived quickly, however we weren’t rush to leave after paying the bill. The location is great for people watching especially on weekend nights. Highly recommend this as a stop if you are in the Capitol Hill area.

This is not your typical Capital Hill bar. It’s more of a sports bar along the line of what you might find in Bellevue or Belltown. The space is huge with a beautiful modern industrial interior. TV’s on every wall so everyone gets a good view. On a Saturday night this place is kind of empty, so there are plenty of tables and it’s a bit more chill than the rest of the craziness happening on the hill. They have tasty bites, awesome corn dogs and pretzels with cheese sauce. Huge selection of craft beers and ciders. I like the Hadouken! boiler maker that comes with a cider and shot of cinnamon whiskey. On my last visit I had one negative experience with the bartender. Besides being surly, he walked by with a plate of donuts and I asked if I could get an order for our group to which he replied«no» and walked away. We all agreed he had to be joking and waited for the donuts. He was not joking. All the other staff had been great though. So while I really like this place, the service of one bartender left a bad taste in my mouth, when he should have left donuts in my mouth. I’m gonna give that bartender 0 stars, but STOUT get’s 4 stars.

I’m just gonna say it: my favorite thing about this place is the bathroom! No joke, they are quite possibly the cleanest and most well planned bathrooms on Capitol Hill! Yes, the friendly staff, upscale bar fare and plentiful flat screen TVs bring you in initially, but the bathrooms are really the crown jewel of this place. Just trust me on this one. In all seriousness, this place is ideally located on Pine St near Cal Anderson Park, features many PNW microbrews on draft, and is a great place to gather with a large group to catch up or just watch a game. Since the atmosphere caters to the slightly upscale, they also have some solid cocktails on the menu. I have a new favorite hangout on the weekends!

I’ve walked by Stout a number of times to admire the interior, and have seen it packed with people! I came with a few friends for the evening to see it pretty much empty(to be fair, it was on the night of the Mayweather fight and they were not broadcasting the fight!). I can only comment on the fries & drinks, but from what my friends said, they enjoyed their burgers! The fries were well cooked and slightly crispy! For drinks, I got the Capitol Hill Mule — Blackberry & Cinnamon Infused Citizen Gin, Lime, Cock N’ Bull Ginger Beer. Their blackberry & cinnamon infused gin is made in house and was seriously the best thing ever! I’m a fan of the original«Moscow Mule», so I was so excited for this drink! The flavors went together so well, as pretty much any kind of mule with ginger beer does! The presentation was nice with a lime wedge in a mason jar. Overall, service was good, ambiance was nice(it did start filling up after the fight), and the Cap Hill mule is a must get! Definitely visit Stout if you are in the area!

What a great spot on the hill!!! Whether your just enjoying a beer by yourself or dining with loved ones and friends, this is a trendy place to enjoy fantastic food! I came here alone, tired from the busy morning of driving around and sat at the bar. Ricky was working and he was FANTASTIC: attentive, professional and super nice. As the other reviews suggest, the ambience is beautiful. I especially loved how the sinks for the bathrooms were more communal and weren’t situated in each corresponding restroom. Not something you see everywhere, but it made sense here. Food: ***Anduille Sausage Corn Dogs: amazing batter and i LOVED the mustard that came with it. ***Cauliflower Flatbread: ummmm… where has this been my whole life!!! I could seriously eat this everyday and never grow tired of it. Slightly spicy, so many textures and tasty to the last slice. Drink: I had a gin based martini. I drank most of it but I don’t feel it was worth the $ 14 price tag. I’m not much of a beer drinker, so I will probably just come here for the food and standard well drinks.

Holy perfection on day 1, batman! I popped by today(opening day) to catch a glimpse of Stout in action. Not only is the space gorgeous but it draws you in from the street. From the painted signs out front to the expansive windows, the mural above the bar, and the 6+ TV screens, there’s nothing lacking here. Did we mention the TVs? They opened just in time for a Super Bowl Sunday! Similar to the space being gorgeous and lacking no creativity, the menu is much the same. HH deals are $ 2 off cocktails(I forget the beer special) and discounted appetizers and flatbreads. I tried the Mezcal based Marga-vita and it was outstanding. It had coffee liqueur, Mezcal, Tequila, citrus, agave syrup, and a cinnamon/coffee ground rim. One of the best drinks I’ve had in a while! I didn’t think coffee, citrus and Mezcal could play so well together. The house’s take on the Moscow mule was also lovely. I’m forgetting all the deets because I just sneaked a sip from my friends drink. The food? Ok. Here’s where there’s a huge problem. It’s all so good that you don’t know where to start. Our server guided us through the menu and offered suggestions on his favorites. He was so prepared and thoughtful and thanks to his advice, we had a perfect meal. Sausage corn dogs(killer batter!), white bean hummus, chicken knobs, chicken wings(some of the best I’ve ever had), a Greek style flatbread pizza and doughnuts with Jameson caramel sauce and Mexican hot chocolate. Have I not convinced you yet? For those curious, this space is casual, industrial yet cozy, and walks the perfect line between Hipster and traditional. Basically, anyone can fit in here! Think hip sports bar with way above average bar food. Cmon, perfect on day 1? These people are obviously pros. We spotted a few kids too, so don’t feel like you have to leave them at home. There’s are large dining space, a sectioned off area that’s 21+(including bar seats/stools) and I believe there’s also a private dining area for large groups and events. Looks like a space that fits at least 20. Stoked to come back again soon for more wings and corn dogs. Those are a must.
