Teavana Fine Teas + Tea Bar

I have always loved Teavana but, my mom had never warmed up to them, as she hadn’t tried a flavour she liked and thought was worth buying. We recently walked by this Teavana shop and tried a raspberry lemonade iced tea and my mom loved it. It On that particular day, they were giving out peal and open offers. I got a 30% off coupon and my mom got a free drink! So, we decided to order the raspberry lemonade iced tea for the free beverage. We also had help from one of the employees (I believe her name was Carley). We were able to smell multiple of tea varieties before we chose to blend the lemonade twist and raspberry balsamic to create a raspberry lemonade flavour. She recommended that we get the perfect tea maker to go along with our tea. You can choose either a tea scooper or the perfect tea sugar as well (free with the tea maker)! The tea sugar is the way to go. With a refreshing iced tea for the summer and very helpful staff, I think my mom is now a big fan of Teavana!

We visited this establishment on Mother’s day and had a great time sampling various teas. The service was outstanding and the presentations of the tea was great.
We had never been to a tea bar before and they hooked us with the sampling in front of the store — plus a 20% discount off of one product — be aware — not a cheap place to enter. I have been trying various teas purchased at the supermarkets and was starting to acquire a taste — so this place was perfect to continue my education.
They explained in detail how the process works — showing us their method of steeping tea. We also got to see all the various types they had in cans behind the counter. It was a great tour through the word of tea. The employee’s patiently explained the ingredients in the various teas — what they do for you and made us cups of the ones we wanted. Yes we purchased the cups to sample but had a great time — $ 2.49 for an 8 oz. cup. They provided testing cups so all of could sample each tea.
My wife decided to experiment with tea and selected the promo kit plus 2 types of tea for her Mother’s day gift. That combined with spending an hour with her granddaughter and myself made a nice ending to Mother’s Day.
What I liked was they made us feel special and welcome — never rushing us. This is the way customer service use to be — and feeling great — I gave them 5 stars.

Wowww!!! What an experience!!! The staff is so friendly and exemplify high knowledge. They’ve opened my eyes to the beautiful vast world of tea. Ask for Joe and Haley. They were such a pleasure to shop with and the entire team radiates great energy.

LOVE LOVE TEAVANAN TEAS, LIKE SLIGHTLY ADDICTED: Dosha thai is currently my favorite, add a little vanilla creamer and you’ll be in heaven. Oh yeah, and the rock sugar is a must !

Another alternative to Starbucks owned by Starbucks at the U Village. They sell overpriced tea leaves here but also serve sandwiches and salads.

I really like this location. They have a huge selection of tea and the staff members are very helpful. Several staff members told me and a few other customers that a set of tea tins were on sale and so eagerly we all selected quite a few of the ones that we wanted. It was a great deal! The reason it was such a great deal was because they were not really the items on sale! Opps! However they honored the prices they told us since it was there mistake. I thought that was really nice. I don’t think they lost much in that mistake since several of us bought more than we had probably intended on spending! I got this amazing cacao mint black tea there that doesn’t seem to exist at other locations. I am not addicted to this flavor. I need to head back to UV Teavana soon!

I love this place, even if my bank account shudders whenever I go here, and even though it means a visit to U Village, a capitalist wonderland, outdoor mall and babystroller dragstrip that I find to be utterly soul-​destroying in large doses.
Bulk tea isn’t cheap, but you get a lot for your money, like superior flavor and aroma and multiple steeps. Thus, your money should go a fairly long way and give you a better experience than just pounding through bagged tea. Still, there’s lots to choose from and one could easily feel a bit lost.
Fortunately, Teavana’s staff are nice, professional, knowledgeable, and generous with their time, samples, and suggestions. They will answer any question, no matter how incidental it seems, so that the bulk tea buying experience is comfortable.
Just keep in mind that it’s expensive because you can definitely get carried away, and the staffers will happily keep selling you stuff. Silver lining: you will potentially get into the territory of buy-​enough-​and-​you-​get-​some-​free specials.

I always come here for the perfect cup of tea, accompanied by passionate workers who are able to be so informative and passionate about tea. I love how they have a variety of teas available for sampling as well. Whenever Starbucks is packed or I don’t feel like chugging myself with caffeine, I come here. The ambience is always spot on (especially with the holiday season coming up), as it is so cozy inside. Ive been coming regularly and I highly recommend this place for any visitors or just anyone who wants a good cup of tea :-)

Love their Earl Grey Latte & their scone with caramel & cream. Service is also great, parking is whatever you can find in UVillage. They do take Starbucks gift cards.

So I ripped on Teavana, I’m a fussy tea buyer, I can taste the difference between different varieties of green tea, and when someone calls a herbal drink a «tea,» I flip my cookies. I also had a pretty intense conversation with one of their buyers, and well… I walked away not sure if I knew more, or if I was just a jerk, or both.
With that said, this is the Starbucks of tea… no I mean, they are owned by Starbucks, and they take Starbucks cards. They are clearly setup between a Starbucks and a teashop, they have two counters, one for the tea buyer, and one for the drink/​prepared foods.
This review is Teavana, the tea bar.
1. It’s unclear how the line works, there isn’t a clear cut path, because I saw two lines form, when there were lots of people there.
2. The tea options on the board, appeared to be limited. I was surprised that I didn’t see any «pick-​your-​own-​tea-​from-​the-​wall-​of-​awesome-​teas» options.
3. Ordering was simple, considering there were only a few options.
4. Drinks came out quickly.
Why 4 stars? Well, I had to lower my expectations, that this shop works toward a niche audience, and anti-​coffee drinker; who is willing to pay for premium (drinks/​tea & cost). The cost is more expensive than a coffee drink, but you are getting probably a better drink.

I stopped into Teavana to pick up some tea leaves and was very excited to see that they have a tea bar and pastry counter! I was able to get freshly made tea to go. They have a significantly better selection of tea than you find at all the coffee shops and tea is so much healthier for you than what I would usually get at Starbucks! I am so stoked and look forward to coming back to Teavana for their tea bar.

I didn’t know there was so many different types of tea!
I was dragged here by a friend after they acquired the Teavana perfect tea maker (if memory serves me correct). Problem was that there was to loose leaf tea to make in the new tea maker. What does that call for? Why a trip to Teavana!
Before I walked I was greeted with samples of some hot tea outside (perfect for the chilly weather).
Inside was literally Teavana. Anything you could want and need was there. After smelling what felt like hundreds of teas the purchase was made.
Teas purchased:
Flowering Pineapple (white, hint of pineapple)
Strawberry Blush Rose (white, smooth berry)
Precious White Peach (white, almost like candy)

I love tea. I don’t love when I’m pushed to buy more than I want.
We tasted one of the combos they offer at the entrance and inquired within after a short wait. Apparently the mixture was the $ 12.68/oz Jasmine Pearl Green Tea + Peach Herbal tea (much lower price but I can’t remember). I told her I wanted the peach and she said they could only be bought together…
SAY WHAT???
I repeated myself to her… I.Only.Want.the.Peach. (it was on sale so she was probably coaxed by management to sell them together).
Nevertheless, she understood and sold me only what I wanted. I really can’t afford to spend $ 25 on only 2oz of tea. I get it… it’s really good… but still, I’ve NEVER experienced that kind of pushy tactic at any other Teavana before. Every once in a while they suggest others, which is perfectly reasonable.
Probably will continue going to the Lynnwood Mall Location and not visit this one again.

What!!! A teavana BAR??! turns out there’s also ONE in California (thank goodness!) A friend of mine took me here to try their scones. Looks like a café and store all in one which is nice given all the regular teavanas are just stores for sales. This how ever serves as a café as well as a store front like a Starbucks.
Ordered the caramel scone. (Believe its not on the menu) definitely not your typical scone but it is amazingly delish given that Starbucks owns teavana but doesn’t sell the same scones –boo-​. The scone is topped with cheese and caramel syrup. Assumed it was a chunk of butter on top but no it’s cheese lol. Definitely a nice vibe to the place which makes me glad there’s one in SoCal. Otherwise I’ll be thinking about that scone in LA LOL

This place is pretty sweet. I’m a pretty big fan of tea and so it’s great to have a place dedicated to sit and enjoy your tea. I love that I can pick out any of their teas on the wall to pick as a brew. The more time you spend here the more you will notice tea subtly added into the décor such as lighting and walls displays. It’s beautiful.
However, while it’s great to have ANY tea bar, its kind of small. You don’t quite get the same relaxed atmosphere other coffee shops have going on (which is ironic in my mind because tea is WAY more chillax than coffee). This place is half sales half tea bar so you constantly have patrons wandering around the upper half of the store looking at (and almost breaking) their tea pots and other merchandise. It’s also super noisy in the place. When I’ve gone with a friend to just chat it is kind of difficult to hear each other talk over the noise. It feels like a bar or pub on a Friday night with all the noise. PLUS seats can be scarce! On the weekends people can be just almost hovering over your table waiting for the second you get up.
To make this place better they need to expand, put some sort of divider and/​or better separation between the sales area and the tea drinking area, add more seats, and maybe even some larger tables for big groups!

Teavana has a tea bar? Say whaaaat?!
Actually this is one of only 4 Teavana Tea bars that exist in the country! I was hesitant to post about this place because I love to study there and there aren’t many tables… but sharing is caring and this place is pretty nice.
GREAT PLACE TO STUDY:
Being a Med student, I study a lot. All the time. And Teavana is a great place to sit and study within an environment that is calm and peaceful. The tea is very high quality (although I will say being Japanese, I can tell you that you can buy cheaper high quality tea elsewhere), and it is brewed with great care. Specific teas require different temperature water, different brew times and different preparation. Teavana workers KNOW THEIR STUFF.
LEARNING ABOUT TEA:
In fact, I’d say Teavana is a great place to just generally learn about teas, what teas you like and how to brew your own tea or the ones that you buy from their store. Everyone is very helpful and willing to teach you all you need to know.

A for effort! Nick, aimed to please. I dropped in to visit Ms. Hannah, but missed her.
From Nick I ordered Hanna’s Blend over ice. I addition, I choose the chicken rice bowls. Nick gave me a sample of the yummy lemongrass, glass noodle salad. Left with a tin and aromatic herbal tea blend for a friend. Staff was cheerful and helpfull.

What a nice place to relax. This tea shop is situated in the heart of University Village and caters to a wide variety of tea lovers, including myself. They lure you in with tasty iced and hot teas from a cart in front of their store.
I loved the atmosphere inside of the shop. They have nice seating areas and an open floor concept that gives the perception of a roomy store/​seating area.
The workers are very knowledgeable of their teas and have good suggestions on what drinks you would like, based on your preferences. I ordered an iced Kona tea spritz. The pineapple tea flavor was pronounced and had a good sparkly sweetness. I will definitely be back to try their other iced drinks this summer! They mentioned that they can brew any of their teas for you to order and sample.

Free wifi! Great place to study, not as hectic as starbucks nearby. The sales associate told me that this is one of the few teavana tea bars around. Cool! The inside is new, clean and modern. You got the left side of the wall as a regular retail teavana stores with all the teas lined up against the wall. And then in the middle back of the store is the full tea bar. The store also have gorgeous wooden tables and chairs to sit and study. I love the ginormous long one in the middle of the store, perfect for group studying.
The tea bar is fab. I’m a big fan of tea because it gives more health benefits than coffee,(though I love me some coffee!!!) and starbucks buying out teavana might have been the best thing that’s ever happened. There are so many options at this tea bar. You can order any classic, premium teas, or get the lattes which are DELICIOUS.
I always just get regular oolong and black tea with honey and sugar rock. But in my recent trip, I tried the salted carmel coco over ice with medium sugar rock. WOW. It was like drinking a freaking carmel hot chocolate in a tea form. I’m craving it right now just thinking about how delicious it was!
They really cater to your taste buds, and the types of flavors you like. The staff is so friendly and super knowledgable about teas, their health benefits and all about finding the one that you love. There’s also food options which I haven’t tried, but its beautifully displayed.
TLDR: Sick of loud starbucks nearby? Then come here! Quiet, delicious tea, and friendly staff. Can’t go wrong.
