I used to love this place. They always had $ 5 off coupons in the mailers, the owner was really friendly, they gave you free soup, and it had the best pad kee mao. The last time I went, it was very clear that the ownership had changed. They no longer accepted the coupons, they didn’t give soup, the prices had increased, and the pad kee mao lacked fire. In short, everything great about it was gone. I won’t return.

Thai Go was pretty much a perfect example of «you get what you pay for.» The service was very friendly and polite, and the prices were indeed quite reasonable. The food, tho, was just kinda meh. Beef with eggplant is my favorite Thai dish, and this one just didn’t stack up so well against other similar dishes I’ve had elsewhere. A decent place for the buck, but I’d rather shell out more buck and get better food.

The staff here and pleasant and professional. My food was great – I had the crying tiger salad and the tofu salad rolls. The salad was nice and spicy. They had prompt service and always made sure my water was full. They were also very accomodating and boxed half of my food before they brought it to the table without a blink of an eye! I would go back for sure!

i go here pretty often. Almost every 2 weeks. the people who work here are really nice. Even the new employees. Shows they have good training. The managers/owners know my name! thats good customer service. The food is good. Decent americanised thai food… but what can you expect its america. if it was authentic noone would eat it. O and gotta love the teacups.

I just ate here last week. I got the red curry. My meal was all right, but WAY to ginger-y. Luckily we had a coupon, which made it pretty cheap, so that was good. I wouldn’t have been too stoked if I would have had to pay full price. I would go back again, though, because they had some other menu items that looked okay.

I like what they’ve done with the place but the consistency of the food just isn’t there. It should be a convenient take out spot for me but they frequently put chicken in my veggies forcing me to walk back. Even when correct the food lacks the sophistication of the better thai places in town. I’d have to call it «mall thai»(they’re also located in the Westlake mall)

Alright. I ordered my usual pad kee mao, and was surprised to find they made it with all the correct ingredients(pad kee mao is hit or miss, everyone’s got their own take on it). However, there was very little sauce, I took a chance and ordered the beef which was also great, and not overcooked. The peanut sauce however tasted fake, too thick with no actual peanuts in it. However, they ruined my life when I opened my box to find that my 4 star pad kee mao, was quite literally a «no-star». How do I need to express to the Thai food restaurants of Seattle that I’m not white ya’ll. I like my thai food really fucking spicy. I’ll give them another go, out of laziness and closeness to home, and those $ 2 off coupons are great.

my carryout is always hot and ready in ten minutes, and the one and ONLY time they screwed up my order i got free thai iced teas. the pud thai and other noodle entrees tend to fare on the better side of average, and the beef soup is magic. seriously, it cured my flu. this place is good enough, friendly enough, and convenient enough to keep me coming back at least once a week. bonus: they stick five dollar coupons on EVERYTHING. i have a desk drawer full of them, so i always wind up with two entrees for less than fifteen dollars. score.

My problem: I don’t like to cook… or buy groceries. My solution: Thai Go I get Thai Go at *least* once a week. Sometimes two to three times a week. It’s sad. But, true. I just can’t help it! It’s so close to my house and every time I go they give me a coupon for $ 2 or $ 5 off my next order! When I call, I give them my phone number and they know who I am! «Yindi», of course!(It’s so adorable! But, I have to try not to giggle). They also have a record of what I’ve ordered, which is really helpful as this place is a bit inconsistent — at least as far as spiciness goes(the spiciest is a 4, not a 5 just FYI). But, if a dish I ordered last time was too spicy, I ask them how many stars I previously asked for and I’ll ask for one less star. Same goes for if it’s not spicy enough!(Just a note: more often than not it’s a bit on the spicy side — I wouldn’t order 4 stars unless you want to sweat)! It usually only takes 10 minutes for them to make my food and I’ve NEVER waited more than 20, even on a Friday night. The people at the counter are always really nice, and like I said, if you take your order to go they throw in coupons! Also, the portions are huge, so I usually have enough for dinner AND lunch the next day.(Oh and just a little FYI, the Pad Thai is best re-heated. Trust me, I know). Update 2−4−08: I finally decided to eat inside rather than just take my food to go. The restaurant is cozy and cute. We decided to order the fresh rolls to start — which I had never tried before. These were amazing. So yummy and the perfect size. Our server also came and brought us hot and sour soup, on the house. The server was very attentive, and always wanted to make sure everything was great throughout the meal. We both ordered our entrees and had enough for leftovers, of course. After our meal, we got a sample of ice cream and a cookie(«on the house» he told us again). When it was time to pay, the guy had recognized my name from all my «to go» orders(told you I ordered from there a lot) and was so happy that I came inside to eat. He thanked me for coming in and told me to come back soon. How sweet! Even though this place is a chain Thai food restaurant, I totally think it deserves another star!

Someone turned us onto Thai Go on Broadway(at John St), told us it was good, but said, «Just don’t expect much; it isn’t totally authentic Thai food.» Huh? We tried Thai Go and have been there, happily, once a week for the past two months. Authentic? I don’t know. What does that mean? I was only in Thailand once and it is a large country with many, many styles of cuisine. But I’ll tell you what Thai Go on Broadway is: It is authentically delicious! The food is fresh, fresh. Hand-cut meats and veggies. Our stomachs worship us for taking them here. The only difficulty is the portions are so large and filling, we couldn’t order everything we wanted each time. The good thing? We’ll be back and back again and again until we feast on everything again and again. Ditch Dick’s(yuck) and take yourself on a yummy food holiday at Thai Go.

Very average Thai food I figure. The Tom Ka soup, just ok(very salty), the pad thai, just ok. I like Thai Tom, or Krittika better

Crispy Thai Go Chicken with brown rice. Go and try it. Thank you — that is all. *OH!!! AND they happen to have a peanut sauce that I can actually stand — which is saying a lot… love peanut butter. don’t like peanut sauce for some reason.

Okay, one star,.but only if you like old meat. The service was attentive and caring. The veggies were cooked perfectly with a crisp bite. Sauces a little too sweet but reasonably good. I ate several bites and maybe three bites with meat and spit them both out because the flavour was really bad/weird. I tried again but realized it was inedible and started to feel nauseas. My friend was chewing slowly with a concentrating look on his face. We asked the head waiter(maybe the owner) about it and he told us they would make it again for us with fresh meat, because they had made ours with the old meat. We felt sick and didn’t take him up on it. Why would someone knowingly use old rotting meat? When they had fresh available. I felt sick for two full days after eating here. I hope they wouldn’t do this again, but I certainly would NOT recommend.

I suppose that, if I was sharing food, I might have agreed with Michelle B., but I actually liked that Thai Go’s dishes came out ready to be eaten by a single person. This is the first Thai restaurant I know to serve that way. As for what I ate, the Thai Catfish was delicious and came in a very good portion… perhaps too good, as I had no room for dessert by my last bite. But that was OK because 1) It was in a sweet coconut milk sauce and 2) you get a spoonful of ice cream with a tiny cookie at the end. Ping S. says that it’s green tea ice cream, but mine was a light tan, which made me think it may have been Thai Iced Tea flavor. My tongue couldn’t figure out what it was, but it made me wish that more restaurants would provide half a mouthful of dessert at the end of their meals. I always need to end an eating session with something sweet, but nobody needs to spend too much money on too much sugar. Thanks, Thai Go, for being so thoughtful and delicious.

Thai Go makes me so happy! Perhaps it’s the service. I’ve gotten the same waiter everytime I’ve gone and he’s always so nice and is a perfect balance of friendly and aloof. My soda never lacks for refills and I’m never feeling smothered. Or the free add-ons-you get a free bowl of sweet and sour soup and a free taste of their green tea ice cream with cookie. The soup is actually pretty damn good-warm and rich and flavorful, very much appreciated when we pop in on cold days. The ice cream is refreshing, but usually frozen solid. The food is straightforward Thai comfort food. It’s yummy and served in good-sized portions and is about $ 7 or $ 8. Beware the dessert menu. I got all fixed to have some cheesecake, but they’d «taken it off the menu» without actually, y’know, removing it from the menu.

I’m still turned off by the cutesy elephant-riding-a-tuk-tuk-sign out front, but after actually trying out the food, I now believe they know what they’re doing. Thai Go is a good addition to the other Thai restaurants on Broadway. The staff is really genuinely friendly. The restaurant is spick and span. The atmosphere is calming. Oh and there’s a cool mural running the length of a wall. We had the chicken satay to start. The chicken was really tender and supple. The peanut sauce was tasty and more than abundant, though instead of dipping areas, they opted to pour the sauce all over the skewers(which seems like a faux pas, am i right people?). I had the yellow curry. The curry came poured over a big plate of rice. I liked that. The curry seemed more stew-like than soup-like, which I thought was good: I found myself chewing more than slurping. Very hearty. The potatoes were a little undercooked, but still very edible. Erika had the pad thai with tofu, which I’m sure she’ll write about if she gets around to Unilocal-ing this place. Two complimentary spoonfuls of ice cream and a tiny cookie topped off the delicious meal. Look out for $ 5-off coupons in the Val-Pak.

There used to be a fancy Thai restaurant here. It shut down. The space got a makeover and… tada! A new fancy Thai restaurant. The same people that brought us Racha and numerous mall Thai counters have opened up Thai Go on Broadway in Capitol Hill. The plastic picture menu stays strictly within the boundaries of average Thai restaurant offerings. The Pad Thai was tasty and definitely spicier than the 2 stars I ordered. The curry was creamy and would have been more satisfying with a larger portion. The Pork and Green beans was nothing to write home about but we at all of it. Overall good food, but they make it difficult to share by plating up each dish with rice and handing you a fork. They did give us complimentary microwaved sweet & sour soup. So, they’re trying!
