Horribly, horribly sweet Pad Thai — borderline inedible. Also no fresh lime, only lemon, and very few fresh veggies on it — only a few beans sprouts & a few scraps of green onion — no grated carrot or fresh peanut. The noodles themselves were fine as was the white meat chicken, but again so much sugar that it burned my mouth. And not cheap — $ 8.00 when you can get a lunch special with better quality and more plentiful food at a sit down Thai restaurant. Don’t go — not worth it.

The vermicelli noodles I ate were moist, great amount of food and had a great amount of flavor for a low price around $ 8 plus tax. Cooking vermicelli noodles on the wok is hard to keep it moist and evenly cooked so I was happy that the cooks were skilled in their craft. The staff there was nice treating me with respect. It’s located in the Northgate Mall so expect noise and crowds for seats depending on the time.

Only just edible food. The fish in the green beans tastes super raw and the eggplant tofu is so mushy. Both are bland.

Look, this place isn’t going to win any awards for authenticity or flavor, but it is a solid choice for the mall’s food court. The value was great with awesome portion sizes on their 2 entrée combo at 6.95 plus tax and their customer service was excellent. They were flexible in allowing me to split my noodles in half and adding lots of bok choy for the remainder, and when they made a mistake in my Thai iced tea request, they have me both the mixed up one and my order to not throw it away! I deducted one star because the food wasn’t hot enough and could have been a bit more flavorful.

Great food. I had the Orange chicken and teriyaki chicken with rice and noodles for 7.25 Great deal and wonderful tasting food. But the best was the Mango drink

For the love of Bokchoy! Best phở soup! Just ask for beef noodle soup(it is not on the menu)…enough for 2 people. Bean sprouts and basil on the side. I always ask for extra lemon. I bit salty, but hardy.

Probably the most disgusting mall food and Thai food I have ever had. Completely flavorless and not much of it was even Thai. They had more Chinese dishes than anything else. Pad Thai is based with ketchup. I would not eat here again. Just throw your $ 8 in the garbage instead.

This is pretty standard fare for a food court. The Thai food here is completely average, though cheap and filling. When you’re stuck at Northgate Mall, this is one of your options for food. It’s not necessarily a good option, since the food is terribly greasy and would probably add a lot of empty calories to your diet. But there are worse places you could go for food around here. I got a Combo 2, which was Phad Thai noodles plus two entrees. It was nice how this was only $ 6.95 or $ 7.61 after tax, but the food in some parts was nearly swimming with grease. It’s also funny how the Phad Thai noodles are fairly authentic and decent in quality, but everything else is generic Americanized Chinese food that seemingly has nothing to do with being Thai. Oh well. Come here for a bite and quickly leave. No point in staying around too long.

Yikes… What happened here? This place used to be a solid option for Pad Thai if I was in the area, but it seems this has steadily declined. I was super disappointed by my standard 5-Star Chicken Pad Thai. Not spicy at all, just sweet and overall bland. Not a hint of tamarind! Ugh. Will not return.

This is not Thai food. The last time I checked Thai food didn’t include roaches as seasoning. The oil in their fryer hasn’t been changed in forever. This place is dirty, nasty, and awful.

I got Pad Thai with fried tofu today. Worst I’ve ever had, anywhere. Why? It was one huge pile of grease; every noodle glistened with oil. The amount of tofu was good, it was just limp with the oil it was cooked in. YUCK!

Thai Go used to be my favorite place at Northgate Mall. Over the years, the quality of the food has varied and declined. The first sign of change came when they replaced the style of noodles in some of the stir fried dishes. When I asked them about it, they alleged it was the same noodles they always used(as if I couldn’t tell). After that, I ate there much less frequently and was disappointed when I did. I suspect it has fallen under new ownership this year. I haven’t confirmed this but I have confirmed that staff members I saw and got to know over the years are no longer there(cooks and cashiers). Most recently, I had the won ton noodle soup. It was okay — the won ton was the perfect bite size, broth was mild, and noodles were as expected. I had requested 3 stars and found it to have a very unpleasant burning sensation with a lack of flavor to go with the corresponding heat. I also had my all time favorite dish — pad ba mee, something that not all Thai places serve. The signature egg noodles and fish sauce draw me in every time. Well, this one was made with ramen. Yes, RAMEN! Now, I don’t have a problem with ramen noodles but this is not what was advertised. Also, I believe this is a franchise so I don’t think they’re playing by the rules. I’m saddened by the changes here over the years and will not be going here often.

I wanted to try something different at the mall for once, so i went to Thai Go. The man behind the counter handed is a sample. Tasted pretty good, so we ordered honey chicken, sesame chicken, with a side of pud Thai. The noodles were not moist, and didn’t have any flavor. Every item was unevenly cooked and dry. The batter with the chicken just tasted unpleasant. Overall, I’m not satisfied with my food. Sticking to Panda Express for mall food from now on.

AMBIENCE — C+ SERVICE — D FOOD — D–(this D– is for the buffet pad thai!) PRICE — B– «THAINO» — should be the name! AMBIENCE — C+ — It’s centered in the food court of Northgate Mall. At least there are staff to keep the areas clean. SERVICE — D — The girl server I had that day was not helpful, friendly and could care less if she was there or not. FOOD — D — A SAD excuse for calling it pad thai even it is on the buffet! PRICE — B — yes, it’s cheap… but wouldn’t even eat if it were a dollar! I stopped by sometime in Jan. 2013… Thai NO! Don’t go unless they prepare their pad Thai by special order and you can customize the way to make the dish! Plain dry flavorless overcooked strings of plain nothing noodles on the buffet! They give this buffet pad thai cooking a bad name! My heavy dollops of chilis and fish sauce on the sides couldn’t save this dish! Bad representation of Thai cooking of pad Thai. BOO! on YOU!

Used to love this place and I definitely make it a pit stop of mine every time I head down to Seattle or Portland. I’m a huge noodle fanatic so I alternate between pad kee mao, pad thai or chicken noodle soup(similar to phở). The main reason I came here though is because there is no good pad kee mao to be found anywhere in Vancouver(not that I’ve found so far anyway) and this was the closest I can get it. In the past year or so though, I’ve really found it to be hit or miss as I’ve noticed the chef has changed. Main issue being not saucy enough and the noodles end up being quite dry. These are also large flat pieces of rice noodle so if there’s not enough sauce, the pieces just stay stuck to each other in a clump and when you peel the pieces apart, it’s still white and plain in the middle. The flavors really should be dispersed throughout all surface areas. However, every time I’ve had the pad thai or chicken noodle soup they’ve been consistently good. The other recent problem is they’ve changed the take-out containers they use to these boxes made of recycled cardboard? Whatever material it is, the condensation from the hot food just makes it soft and soggy so don’t carry it anywhere far. The noodles also seem to get stuck to the material so it peels off some of that paper product which isn’t so appetizing. Maybe they should lay down a sheet of aluminum foil before dumping hot food in this vessel. Still good value and decent quality for a food court stall.

Seriously. No. I should have Unilocaled Thai Go first, but somewhere in my breakfast skipping haze, I seemed to recall this Thai spot in Northgate Mall was half decent a few years back, so I tried again and was very, very sadly mistaken. Deep fried(almost everything) with side of gelatinous eggplant and dry, flavorless(almost tasted like plain noodles) pad thai. Verdict: bad, bad news bears. Keep on walking by, my food court friends!

I recently changed work locations to Northgate Mall and was excited to see Thai Go and Noodle Zone In the food court, as both their Westlake Center locations serve excellent noodle dishes cooked to order. Their food is truly better than its food court existence. When I finally visited, it was the down period between lunch and dinner — about 3pm. There were two cashiers on and two cooks manning the woks, and nobody in line ahead of me. Despite all this, over 15 minutes elapsed from the time I ordered until the time I was served. It seems they were more interested in filling the hotel pans in their row of steam tables for the non-existent line of customers waiting for their warmed-over«specials» than they were in preparing fresh food for a cash customer. What I received bore little resemblance to the vermicelli noodles with chicken I’d ordered many times at the Westlake Noodle Zone. Instead of a spicy mélange of chicken, green onions, egg tossed with panfried vermicelli noodles, I got a steaming knotted glob of noodles, surrounded by indistinguishably beige chunks of chicken? egg? and vegetables? I’d rather eat Panda Express(6 stalls away) than… this. Seriously.

This is where we go for Pud Thai. What else do you need to know? Mall, yep. Parking, available. Crowded, nope. Service, fast AND friendly. Insider tip: They have punch cards!

I used to like this place for everything! People were friendly, food was great and it was a deal. Prices are still, for the most part, good. Except when I asked for the curry to be placed in a separate to-go container, they informed me it is an extra dollar. Uh, what? I said nevermind and they just put one spoon of curry into the paper-like container. The result? By the time I got home, the container was completely soggy, the curry had been absorbed and the chicken had dried out. Completely unedible and unacceptable! Management apparently changed and is trying to introduce this new«Noodle Zone» with glossy signs and TV monitors. I guess it’s flashy but that’s about it. I ordered Tom Yum Noodles from this«Noodle Zone» and the broth had ZERO flavor. It was really disappointing and I didn’t even bother eating the rest. Also, they defaulted the meat to shrimp, even though their glossy sign says chicken. Did I mention the noodles were completely overcooked? The people are still friendly though I can’t help but wonder what they are really thinking with the new management. Word of advice: revert back to the old, friendly, delicious Thai Go I used to know. At this rate, your business will only suffer.
