Our son was chasing flies with a dish towel and whoosh… threw the towel. and into a pretty authentic piece of Native American artwork. :-O crash onto the floor, dinged the bamboo floor, smashed the glass in the frame, YET didn’t scratch the painting! Phew. (Our son also escaped the crash!) What to do? GO TO DIANE! Not only did she entertain and love up our son, but she gave me a large selection of edges from which to choose. Then, when I was close to choosing one, she interrupted her work and grabbed another frame (that matched even better AND was less expensive!!!) WHAT??! Who does that? If you need ANYTHING framed and want to chat with a really cool woman! Go to Artistic Framers! Thanks, Diane! The newly framed picture has a new home!

West Seattle has a creative genius in Diane, the lovely owner of The Artistic Framers. My husband and I have had multiple pieces of art and photos framed by Diane, and she always knows exactly what to do. Her selection of gorgeous frames and mattes are enhanced by her expertise in creating the perfect framed work of art. Her best work for us yet has been the framing and matting of a newspaper article that I have as a publicity piece in my shop. It is so cool. She did an AMAZING job, which is not surprising. She’s the best!
If you want something framed RIGHT the FIRST TIME… go see Diane.

Support local business! Diane, the proprietor of diminuative The Artistic Framer is so helpful and patient. She has excellent taste and will spend time helping you select the perfect frame and mat to compliment your piece.
A few years ago, I had an antique Japanese woodblock print framed at Museum Quality Framing, and it had warped. They’d used defective backer material that threatened the health of the print itself. So I won’t be going back there ever, and will instead always trust that The Artistic Framer will do a great job with quality materials. I totally trust her. It’s expensive, but no more so that the other folks, and you know you’re getting the best service and materials with her.
