I had a great experience with the Drum Exchange! I brought in my partner’s djembe for repair(the skin had completely ripped off); the woman at the desk was very helpful and ran over everything for me. The drum was repaired in just a week and looks beautiful! They even found a large base crack during repair and fixed it for free, and offered a 6-month 100% warranty in case the new skin slips up. They weren’t pushy at all, but answered all my questions, and were very upfront with costs, time, and possible risks for repair. Overall, awesome and highly recommended!

My husband and I were here today. We bought two frame drums. They even demonstrated us how to play the ocean drum. The lady was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back there. As supporters of independently owned local businesses this place put a smile on our face :)

This store stocks an amazing assortment of percussive instruments. To have a specialty store like this in our community is fantastic, but what really makes the experience amazing is the level of customer service and know-how Ed and Candace bring to the table. Believe me from experience, they will do anything it takes to make sure your customer experience is top-notch. They aren’t in it to just«sell» stuff: If you want equipment with soul, backed by real people, buy it here.

If I have some weird gear problem I need to solve, this is the place I always go. Last time I needed to make a change to my rig, Ed worked with me for about 45 minutes trying to attach a piccolo snare to a marching harness. It was not just educational, but fun. In the end, we dumped out a bucket of spare parts and did a bit of hammering. The only reason I didn’t give a 5-star rating is that you can have a long wait when you come in. Ed is also an excellent percussion instructor.
