The Mix Martini Lounge

This place has been closed and boarded up for weeks. I’ve let Unilocal know several times but they keep it listed.

Rob roy was to pack at night so we stumbled into this bar up the block. There was only one bar tender but it was sufficient since the place was quite empty except for a few patrons at the bar. The drinks are fairly priced and super delicious. The bar tender was a knowledgeable mixologist and was able to create personalized drinks based on our taste preference.

Loved the bartender and the vibe. The food was super tasty, but I felt the plates were smaller than most small plates. I do wish the main had been better. We had five different cocktails between us and none of them were magical. I just wanted the drinks to be better.

We couldn’t dine at our first choice, List (due to some weird plumbing problems they were having), so after a bit of searching on the Unilocal app we saw this place nearby and decided to give it a shot. They had a happy hour in progress so I tried one of their specialty cocktails, which was like a lychee cooler. My friend noted that it was lychee syrup, and not real juice, but oh well – it was pretty good. We got to sit outside on the patio and do some interesting people watching in this up-​and-​coming neighborhood. I ended up getting a light dinner of cobb salad but my friend got the braised short rib dinner, which she said was excellent. It sure looked good! Our waiter was cool and fun but was a little MIA at times, something the couple at the table next to us also noticed. We ended up hanging out there for quite a while, as a band was due to perform for free that evening and they turned out to be pretty good! Good food, good drinks and free entertainment – not bad!

We stopped in for a specialty cocktail on ⁷⁄₄. The bartender was friendly and attentive. We did not try the food, that will be next on the to do list. I will try The Mix on my next visit West.

Sat at the bar and had a great bartender Justin. He was entertaining, knowledgeable, and mixed some awesome drinks! We had a shrimp cocktail with a cocktail sauce made with pepper vodka, fried oysters and crab cakes with mango salsa… Loved it all. We left just as the live music was starting but will be back!

I wish I could give rave reviews to the Mix — we’d been looking forward to trying it out. Our server was a truly lovely, helpful and gracious person. We had no complaints whatsoever about her and our interaction. Two things got in the way of what could have been a perfect evening at a charming venue — because the ambiance is very nice.
The first was the «custom» cocktail two of our party ordered. We were told the bartender could make up anything specific to request, so we ordered two separate cocktails, with a few notes about what we like. I’m not sure how my request for savory and spicy turned into what amounted to a grapefruit spritzer, but that’s what I got — with no discernible taste or feel of alcohol, very watered down. ‘
Then, about 15 minutes into our cocktails, a band that was supposed to start 45 minutes later began playing at a volume that made it impossible for our group to have a conversation — I mean, at all. Even with all of us yelling, we couldn’t hear nor understand one another. It’s a small venue and my husband, a musician, felt that the band should have played (or been told to play) at a lesser volume for the intimate setting.
I really wish I could (with honesty) give four stars. But, for a cocktail lounge to miss on its two most important products — the cocktail and the conversation — left me with a three-​star impression. I do wish I could be more enthusiastic.

Sat at the bar. No service from the bartender who had nothing to do but put away dishes and individually wrap cheeses of the customer sitting next to us. Came and left without a single person acknowledging us. We were sitting there for at least 10 minutes.

My girlfriend and I gave this place a try. Sliders were good, atmosphere was quiet and cool. I’ll go back sometime, for sure!

Pretty rare that a new-​ish restaurant hits the mark, but Mix does it right. Waitstaff were very welcoming and friendly, and got a walk though of the whole menu.
Had the cheese board, peanut butter and jelly wings, bacon mac and cheese and the short rib. Would recommend this as a good sampling to share with a group.
I would pass on the cheese board. While it was good, it doesn’t compare to Local 360’s fare. The wings were a very interesting adventure, think Thai peanut.
Have room for dessert? Chocolate + hazelnut. Just do it.

The drink I was given was very very strong. Get your moneys worth here. The waitress was awesome and came back several times making sure we had what we needed. The inside is a really cool looking bar. I saw the bartender making my fiances drink and he made one small mistake and started all over. If I lived here this would be my hangout spot.

This is a great bar to go have drink and unwind, maybe meet up with friends to visit. Outstanding service (as good as it gets!) food is good and drinks are outstanding! Super cool vibe. If you went there on a weekend night and there was a DJ and it turned you off??? give then another shot, they are back to what makes them one of the best hang outs in Belltown instead of just another club environment. Mary is awesome and while I don’t remember the bartenders name he is kickass too. Enjoy mix martini bar, you won’t regret it!

Loved this place! The drinks are awesome (try the Thin Mint cocktail). They have fried pickles with calamari, sooo good :). To top it off they have great service and it’s right in the center of Belltown’s night life.

Have tried a sampling of their specialty drinks and they were great; interesting flavors, a variety of color and containers, mostly smooth to drink. :D
Food has been great so far, will need to check it out more as a part of Belltown night scene review.

This is my new favorite watering hole. The bartenders are artisans. I told J that I wanted something citrusy, but not sweet, with either vodka or mescal and he made me the perfect cocktail — and he made it with flair. The owner, the bartenders, and the hostess are also very welcoming and the bar is nice and long. I love it.

I highly recommend this belltown spot! The bartender was very attentive, and offered to tweak my drink to my tastes. it was absolutely perfect! We ordered the calamari & pickle plate, as well as the pbj wings. Both rocked our socks off! I would only suggest offering a spicy aoli with the calamari. Perfect service, great drinks, and phenomenal food stuffs at a decent price!

Wonderful new addition to Belltown! The staff is so friendly and the remodel looks great. I really enjoyed my Hendricks gin martini. There is plenty of seating — this would be a great date night place or a night out with friends.

What a GREAT place. We totally enjoyed our evening tasting three small plates and martinis. The Prawn Martini was tremendously yummy. We will definitely be returning soon.

Great expertise on a good cocktail, excellent service. Next time I will try the small plates!

And a wonderful friendly sraff. They were really on point.
Definatly comming back here many more times.
