Easiest vendor to choose by far! Kara and her team at The SweetSide provided us with our first cake tasting and we had no need to look any further. Kara was so easy to create with and made the process so effortless. My cake was absolutely gorgeous! Surrounded by family pictures and candlelight, this cake made such a presence at my reception and it was more than I could have ever asked for! I cannot wait to return to The Sweetside for future yummy pieces of art:)

I had such a wonderful wedding cake with unique flavor a from The Sweet Side: dark chocolate with salted Caramel and coconut with vanilla. It was so simple and elegant and exactly what I asked for :)

Was very disappointed that they were «too busy» with a wedding in the upcoming week that I couldn’t order a birthday cake. We live across the street and have enjoyed their cakes in the past. So much for supporting neighborhood business. Won’t be asking again.

We chose The Sweet Side to make our wedding cake and so glad we did! It turned out perfect. I spoke with Kara a few times via email and sent her pictures as to what we wanted our cake to look like. Her and the team made the cake exactly to what we showed her and wanted. I was so impressed. Not to mention, the cake was delicious. As for price, very reasonable and better than most other vendors I had researched. I will definitely be using The Sweet Side again for other events.

I ordered my wedding cakes from here. It was a small wedding so we didn’t have a custom cake, and instead ordered from the ones already listed on the site. We went with the strawberry short cake and the lemon blueberry cheesecake. Both were amazing. They were lovely to look at and had great flavor. Our guests raved about both of them. I can’t wait to have some other event so I can order another cake… or two.

The Sweet Side is genuinely a local business that is everything about the labor of love as this establishment offers such a warm, quaint and deeply welcoming group of enthusiastic employees who I want to impress you with their culinary talents and work with you to create a cake that will leave you and your guests speechless.
Facility:
It’s clean, cut and you are able to see a special culinary art come to life as this crew works so hard but appear to love being part of people’s special day.
Parking:
Side street parking can be a complete pain because it is in Seattle and my advice is bring a friend to help you out in case you bought a big cake. Two blocks feels like torture when you think your special moment being at stake.
Customer service:
I am blown away with the enthusiasm of the staff in person, over the phone and on email. Sweet Side makes these cakes that just leave you in awe, maybe tears of joy.

Stupid easy and can also be done over the phone when talking to one of the their staff.
Cake quality:
Why the hell was I buying Costco sheets cakes and B&R ice cream cakes for years? I paid $ 125 for cake that will serve 20 – 25 guests and I haven’t looked back! The cake isn’t just a show piece, it’s deliciously and speechlessly so great, I made up two words.
Why go here?
Because special moments in our lives should be complimented with beautiful people who design and make a supremely excellent product that makes you not want to eat the most beautiful cake you’ve ever laid eyes on but the flavors will make the most allergic person to flour take the risk!

We asked Sweet Side Bakery to create a VERY customized cake for our wedding — one that showed off our love for the city of Seattle and the Seattle Mariners. While we had a concept for our cake, Kara from Sweet Side took our rough ideas and turned them into an amazing product — a three-​tiered cake that was both delicious and beautiful. We received many compliments on the cake’s design from our guests, and working with Kara was both easy and fun. She was very attentive and responsive to our initial query as well as to our questions. She also volunteered to pick up desserts from another vendor so that we only needed to manage one delivery at our venue, making our lives that much easier on wedding day.

Kara did my wedding cake last October, but I’m finally getting around to leaving a review. The cake was PERFECT, exactly what I wanted and (most important) absolutely delicious.
She was flexible and excellent with my tasting appointment and was honestly just great to hang out with. My fiancé really wasn’t into the whole cake tasting thing, so I appreciated Kara’s fun attitude.
I’m 47 years old with pretty specific tastes. Our cake looked exactly like what I wanted and was beautiful with our vintage topper.
EVERYONE commented on how delicious it was. We had half lemon with berry filling and half chocolate with salted caramel cream filling. The cake had pink buttercream frosting. Everyone is into fondant these days, but I hate it. Kara did a beautiful job of creating the same effect without fondant.
Regarding price: wedding cakes aren’t cheap, but The Sweet Side was very competitively priced. Yes, you could get a cheaper cake from a grocery store, but it won’t be as lovely as this one.
The cake arrived on time and I obviously can’t say enough about working with The Sweet Side.
Since they have opened a brick and mortar store, I stop in once in a while for a treat — always delicious!

Kara made the sweet bar for our wedding– an adorable cutting cake, and a variety of desserts including marshmallow pops, rice krispies, pie pops, macarons and s’mores shooters. Everything was absolutely delicious and looked amazing too. My only regret was not taking time to eat more of it! All of our guests were raving about it. The process working with Kara was easy and fun– she is amazingly creative and super sweet. If you are looking for a fantastic wedding cake or yummy treats for a wedding, party or other event definitely go with the sweet side!
