Great little quiet place, a good respite from the insanity of Capitol Hill on the weekend evening. Bartender was great, very charismatic! Good place to go if you actually want to hear people speak!

I would give this place a 3.5. Came here for dinner with some friends. Service is a bit slow but they were accommodating to a friend who didn’t like her drink. They have a very eclectic drink menu which could be good or bad depending on how picky you are and if you have no clue what half the stuff in the drink is. I got pretty lucky with my beverage. I got the duck leg confit which was delish but I would say its not the best I’ve had. I would come back if I was in the area.

Underwhelmed by my visit. The atmosphere left something to be desired, parking was a pain, and the food was forgettable(steak and frites).

I was looking forward to this place, as they have a partnership with the theater next door, but felt like there was a total lack of urgency and attention to detail. We were going to the show next door which started at 8, and arrived just before 7:00. We asked the hostess if they had space for our group of 5, and told her we needed to be out in time to see the show. She said it was no problem and sat us right away and that she would let our server know that we were going to the show. I confirmed with the server that we were needing to keep an eye on the time. We waited for 45 minutes for a pretty straightforward order… and much of the food(including the fries) weren’t hot. I had to track down the server to close out, and the bill came back incorrectly the first time and was not fixed in a timely manner. When all was said and done we weren’t able to close out until 8:10 and we were met with locked doors when we tried to get into the show. We let them know we were locked out and they said«oh yeah, the doors are locked because the show has started.» I asked if they could help us get into the show and they said«oh, no, they don’t open the doors after 8:00». Imagine all five of us, we were SO frustrated, completely floored by this response since we had been so crystal clear about our schedule with everyone. It seemed like a big inconvenience but they were able to help us get let into the show. As it turned out the show was sold out and no one in our group got to sit together which was a big bummer. Throughout this process there was no acknowledgment of our timeline, not even a half hearted apology or any gracious comment from any staff member. I’ll acknowledge that we should have arrived 10 – 15 minutes earlier to give us plenty of time. However, we were pretty clear about our timeline. If they weren’t able to accommodate us, that would have been very helpful to know. Paired with the fact that they offer discounted cocktails for theater patrons, they should make sure that they hold up their end of the deal. That said, the cocktails were stellar and the ambiance was solid. And I do think that the server was spread thin and was inattentive partially because he was responsible for the bar as well as our table. TL:DR– they overpromise and underdeliver for theater patrons. Slow kitchen and a lack of gracious service left a bad taste in our mouths, despite the good food.(Truffle fries were great!)

The room is boring. The food was terrible. It was too expensive to begin with and had an undisclosed mandatory gratuity for a table of 5? Server was really nice but… Tempura Cauliflower was nearly inedible, smelled like an old foot. All the cocktails were way too sweet and they’d run out of two of the four beers on tap. The burger was a pre-formed patty that wasn’t seasoned and was over cooked. It was $ 270 for the meal for all of us. I find no reason to go back here. Sorry for the server(who seemed really nice), you need a gig at a place where the product can live up to your skills.

This is an awesome spot, located right across the hall from the Century Ballroom where you can eat, drink, dance and gather all on one floor! Great, friendly staff, perfect lighting and chill ambience!

Great food, beautifully presented, and reasonably priced. The service was a little slow. But we will definitely be back. Between us we ordered the ceviche, the ox tail fritters, a green salad, and the shoe string fries as apps, then we had the trout, the halibut, the steak, and the lamb stuffed pasta. For dessert, we ordered the baklava ice cream and the rhubarb pie… All fabulous!

Unfortunately, as much as I would love to give the The Tin Table a 5 star review I cannot. As far as ambiance, I love the dapper feel and classic speakeasy look, but the service is a miss. I have been to the The Tin Table on four separate occasions in the last two years, with my last visit being last Saturday. On all my visits here I always order the classic Moscow Mule cocktail. This cocktail calls for ginger beer and sadly enough my drink tasted like it was made with ginger ale. I would have sent my drink back, but the customer service at the bar was already lacking. A friend and I came in about 8 and the bar wasn’t busy and even after making contact with the male bartender in the burgundy vest he failed to greet us. We went the bar and ordered our drink and my friend paid for them right away and left a 3 dollar tip for our drinks regardless of service. We sat in the seating area by the door for almost an hour, not once were we asked if we would like additional drink or anything to eat. Disappointed in our drinks we decided to leave and head to across the street. The Tin Table over charged my friend’s card by 10.00 dollars only to adjust it later and still over charged him by 2.00 dollars unauthorized. This may be a nice venue, but I will never visit again. Lackluster service has made the difference and this isn’t the first time.

This Gluten=Free guy came here on Friday for dinner with some friends and it was quite an interesting night — a very dramatic incident was handled beautifully, on top of the fact that we had fantastic food/drinks in a wonderful ambiance! We arrived just after 7 to the end of an incident where a group of mid-twenty-somethings had just requested to be moved. The«birthday girl» told the waiter«it’s my birthday and i shouldn’t have to see that» in reference to the rainbow flag. Ummm… do you know where you are? She demanded to be moved to a different table. Her new location kept the flag behind her… which only makes it better knowing that all of her birthday dinner pics will have a rainbow flag backdrop! haha! The restaurant staff and owner handled this incident so professionally. I was incredibly impressed. Then we got into our drinks and food. I had a nicely crafted manhattan, and ordered the pork chop. It was GF without modifications and noted as such on the menu. It was excellent! The meat was cooked perfectly and the baked apples were a perfect touch. I was visiting Seattle for work and will certainly return.

If I could give Tin Table more than 5 stars, I would. My boyfriend and I went out for a nice dinner on Friday night, and not only did we have an amazing meal(the hanger steak was prepared perfectly and the bartender made us some amazing custom cocktails) but we also witnessed the staff at Tin Table act with impressive class in the face of some horribly rude diners. Shortly after we sat down, a table for a birthday dinner was seated next to us. They immediately expressed very rudely that they either wanted the rainbow flag next to them to be removed from the window or be seated elsewhere. The birthday girl cited that it was her birthday, the flag offended her, and she didn’t want to have to see it. First off, I could not believe that this kind of hatred exists(they were young too — in their 20s?) and would bring itself to the center of Capitol Hill. Our server was clearly shaken but did what he could to remain professional. The patrons were moved elsewhere, but we had to continue to hear the birthday girl in the hallway further rant and defend herself and indignantly demand that they have a different server. She clearly felt that she was somehow the victim. The only thing offensive about the situation was HER. We and the other diners around us were very upset to have to observe such blatant, unabashed ugliness and discrimination. Yet, the owner and the servers rose above the situation and responded more kindly than anyone should ever have to! Further, they treated us to dessert and a round of drinks to compensate for having to listen to this kind of bigotry. So my highest recommendation — great food, great atmosphere, and an even greater owner/staff. Kudos to everyone at Tin Table. I look forward to going back again.

Very intimate setting right across the hall from Century Ballroom. First and only time there — service was amazing and the waitress even separated all our checks! I ordered the steak and it was medium and exactly the texture I like. Frites are delicious just hard to eat because you can’t decide if you should use a fork or just stuff them into your mouth haha.

Found myself at the Tin Table because the Oddfellows Café downstairs was too noisy for our party. Talk about a stroke of luck! The Floozy Burger was one of the best hamburgers I’ve had ever, anywhere. And the best part was they didn’t give me a hand-wringing song and dance about ordering it cooked rare(like most places these days). Another member of our party shared a chunk of a batter-fried mystery appetizer she’d ordered. On first taste, I thought it was a scallop. Oops… tastebud failure. Turned out it was their Pine Nut Crusted Cauliflower. Quite marvelous. I don’t often find myself in Seattle at dinner time, but the next time I do(maybe to visit the equally marvelous Elliott Bay Books right next door), I’ll happily dine at the Tin Table again.

Maybe it’s because I secretly want to be Don Draper(just the cool version of Don Draper… the debonair version of him… Not the really emotionally messed up version)… I have always wanted to go to a bar by myself. I’ve been hard-pressed to find one I’d like to go to until I found this bar. It’s conveniently located really close to Century Ballroom. One night following dancing, my feet were done and my friends weren’t so I decided to swing by here for a drink by my lonesome. I felt so well taken care of by the bartender. We talked about drink preferences and she recommended Templeton Rye. What a good glass of whiskey! While I had a couple of patrons eye me like clearly I must be waiting for someone, I didn’t feel like a weirdo to the bartender. She knew when to come by and check on me and even spent a good amount of time engaging me in conversation without ignoring other patrons. I was thoroughly impressed with the service. Their food is decent, the cocktails are good and with the quality of the service, this place is one I’d recommend to others!

If you’re looking for a classy environment, likable staff, and tasty food and beverages, it really doesn’t get much better than the Tin Table. Even if it weren’t nestled so comfortably next to one of my favorite dance venues, I’d visit the Tin Table for the friendly atmosphere and fantastic drinks. The bartenders here take care of you. I can’t say enough good things about this place!(Brian rocks!!!)

My roomie took me here the other night to get their flozzy burger with shoestrings fries. The food was really good, the service okay, and the place looked fine. I would go here again to try something else on their menu.

My friend came here because of the salsa dancing stuff that’s going on right across, but I decided to just sit at a bar here and drink with my other friends. I got the St. Germain cocktail I got was a bit sweet. I also tried my other friends’ cocktails and I thought they were okay, but not amazing. My friend also ordered their Rapini, which was a type of vegetable. Not sure how to describe it, but it was pretty good. I think I really like this place because of the vibe and I would come again since the bartenders were pretty cool, but I don’t think that it deserves the 4 stars just yet. I’ll have to come back and re-review.

Intimate yet spacious restaurant. Lovely, cool lighting throughout the space. My friends and I were seated in the back room next to the kitchen — which, while private, can get a little distracting and lonesome. Could be a great space for a small party though as it seats about 12 people in that room. Food is on the upscale end of casual dining. White plates, waiter service and all — yet what was most appealing on the menu were the house burger, shoestring fries, and soup de jour. Despite ordering the most simple items, it took extra time to bring the dishes out, particularly because they overcooked the burgers the first time around. Hm. Cheeseboards were filling as an appetizer. If the next soup de jour is a cream soup, I definitely recommend as it was a sophisticated little dish. Not a bad choice for dinner but definitely not a first choice. Enjoyed the service well enough though. Katie was very accommodating to bring out separate checks and even help take a few photos of our group.

The restaurant is in the same building as the Century Ballroom. The host and wait staff are quite nice and even a little personable with recommendations and personal insights into the menu. To start, we ordered the cheese boards. An assortment of 3 different cheeses, a few cracker«sticks», some fruit and a taste of bittersweet chocolate. A blue that looked as marbled as I’d ever seen yet quite mild and delightful. It all went well together and even better with the Moscow Mule that the liquor-slinger had hand crafted. For the entrée I truly enjoyed my crispy skin black cod. It was paired with a sauté of asparagus and pea vines in a cream mushroom cream sauce. Quite delightful though I’m deducting half of a star for the 12yo-sized portion. Left me a little hungry, even with the appetizer. My handsome date ordered the chicken thighs. A pair of thighs in a whisky BBQ sauce that was thin in appearance but HUGE in flavor and complexity. Quite amazing. The savory bread pudding didn’t stand a chance by comparison, though it was still tasty. The other half of the star that the restaurant lost was for the lack of air conditioning. After a stroll from our parking space a couple of blocks away and a climb up a large flight of stairs, I was hoping for a cool place to enjoy our meal. Though I will say they were on top of refilling the water on a regular basis. All in all, I’d go back again and enjoy another swanky meal here. And while they change up the fish and soup of the day, they could use an infusion of new flavors into their menu. Based on photos here on Unilocal and the menu I witnessed, it’s been the same for a couple of years or more. It says a lot to be able to execute consistently on your tried and true specialties. It says even more when a restaurant can mix up the seasoning of their menu from time to time.

I love the coziness, décor, staff knowledge, and that fact that’s it’s next door to the Century Ballroom. It’s easy to grab a bite there before or even after dancing. The food is not to die for, but not anything out of the ordinary that it’d scare you off. We did have to wait a while to get the check because the register wasn’t working, so I wasn’t thrilled. I would recommend them to go with the iPad function just so that problem doesn’t come up again. I have yet to try dinner, but based on the wait, I’m a little skeptical of trying. I did see some items on the menu that I’d like to try, so maybe give it some time and I’ll give it a whirl again.
