Good coffee, great ambiance, great donuts(and other eatables), Wi-Fi, etc. What else do I need to say?

Doughnuts are«ok» but quite expensive. Seattle must have been lacking for doughnut options for this place to somehow became a «Seattle thing». Not worth your time.

I’m giving top pop 3 stars because of the coffee-it was amazing. I had a blended coconut with espresso and it was delightful. However, I’m not sure this place lives up to anything great In terms of donuts. I tried the lemon filled donut and it was super dry and uneventful. Perhaps it was the fact that I came near the end of the day and for that reason I may give it one more try. As for the environment, it was great. Lots of huge beautiful Windows and a perfect loft for getting some work done or relaxing and reading a book.

If you are Canadian, don’t expect to be blown away. These taste just like fresh Tim Hortons donuts. However, unlike Timmy’s, the coffee was good. The staff were some of the friendliest I’ve come across on Capitol Hill. A relaxing atmosphere, but it might be a bit too dark for reading.

Bavarian cremes are amazing. AMAZING. I often swing buy and buy a few dozen for my clients and everyone loves them. Friendly service and food coffee. The parking is a major complaint. I wish they would contract for a 10 minute pickup spot in the lot next door. Its super old fashion and requires $ 8 cash — so its a bit of Russian roulette dashing in to pick up. 5 stars if they had a pick up spot or curbside.

Was visiting Seattle, stayed in Capitol Hill. I saw so many great reviews and my love for donuts brought me to Top Pot! It’s a nice and cozy place with cute décor! Got a raspberry glazed donut with a vanilla latte and they were both great ! The donut was light, fluffy and not too sweet. My friend had the raspberry chocolate cake donut which was really good too ! Definitely will come back here !

I’m tempted to leave one star, because I’m afraid that this place will become too popular. I’ve been spoiled because it’s not usually too crowded. I only eat old-fashioned doughnuts, and those are fantastic. I can’t comment on the others. But the real reason to come here? The staff… who are unbelievably nice, genuinely interested in you, and friendly. What a great neighborhood place!

The team at Top Pot are such a delight! I’m not a sweets fan myself, but the cold brew has gotten me up and at ‘em for many a Seattle home showing and ready for clients. Nice, quick, and love the buy 9 get one free!

I have very fond memories of sitting there for hours with their Americanos, typing away on my old laptop. The donuts remind me of Catholic Church — the after church social part — where the dishes are from the 50s and the coffee containers are all soft stainless. It’s a thing from church, I tell ya. Let’s get back to the sacramental bread, shall we: The Pink Feather Boa is the best donut ever. No, don’t argue. It’s a little greasy(duh!) and chewy with the crunchy sweet combo of coconut and pink frosting. It’s not too sweet and so, so good. Get it with an Americano and real cream and you’ll probably fall over in your chair. Now that several years have passed since I’ve eaten a donut, I drop in for coffee. I just noticed today that they have gluten-free baked goods that look really yummy!(The church ladies didn’t have these in the 70s and 80s.) Here’s the problem, when you know you can’t tolerate wheat and you’ve wandered into a place that sells wheat and sugar, it’s dangerous when you find they have gluten-free stuff added to the menu. No sarcasm here, but thanks a lot, Top Pot! Oh, yes, I’ll be treating myself soon.

After circling around the area for 20 minutes to find parking, I finally walked in to try my first Top Pot donut. I tried the chocolate glazed. What a disappointment. It was stale and not enough of the chocolate glaze. Reminds me of donuts that you get at grocery stores. Maybe I’ll try other locations, but so far… strike 1.

I stopped in tonight after dinner as I wanted something sweet to take back to the hotel. I selected the chocolate filled donut and loved it… the filling was so amazing — I could eat spoonful after spoonful of this tasty stuff! The shop was really comfortable and looked like a nice place to hang out, eat your donut and enjoy a hot beverage.

I was craving for a doughnut. Yes, a doughnut. I was going through a weird phase of wanting something sweet and chocolate and I’m glad that my friend and I ran into this place. However, the doughnut that I chose was waaaay too sweet and too chocolately. I ended up getting full after eating half of it. Although, the other exciting thing did happen… I miss those small milk cartons that you get in elementary school. I went crazy when I saw that they had these – so exciting. They definitely helped with the sweetness of the doughnut but got nauseated after drinking it. So, pretty much. The doughnuts here were great. They also served coffee and the customer service was great. However, the tip I will give you is to limit what you will get. If you don’t want anything too sweet, don’t get the fudge chocolate doughnut.

I hate to say it, but I was disappointed! I had seen Top Pot on a TV show a couple years back and have been excited to go ever since. So when I was in Seattle, I seized the opportunity! Perhaps the donut«scene» has advanced since the episode aired, but I found these to be sub par in the world of gourmet donuts these days. They were lacking a flavor punch and the yeast donut I had was unnecessarily dense. That being said, I’m certainly not saying they were bad. The staff was super friendly, cool atmosphere & a good stop if you’re picking up some donuts on the run.

I’m trying to remedy the fact that I never seem to review my ‘regulars’(aka places that are good enough to keep going to over and over again…) and Top Pot is certainly one of em. Anybody who lives in Seattle and has an appreciation for donuts has prob eaten at least a couple dozen of Top Pot’s finest. I can honestly say I’ve never been disappointed, but my favorite thing about their donuts is that I can eat one and feel super sated but not gross(tried Krispy Kreme for the first time in a while recently and thought I’d be sick – it was serious sugar overload!) I love their variety of flavors and that they often have more than one kind of fritter and a good variety of old fashioned’s. While they are often sold out of a lot of flavors by the afternoon, there’s always at least one or two left that I’m interested in. For a place that doesn’t specialize in coffee, their espresso drinks have always been perfectly made, and are reasonably priced. They are pretty quick, but the attitude is still rather laid back in this location, so if waiting in line behind people hemming and hawing over which flavors to get pisses you off, one of the downtown ones may be more your speed. Personally I like the interior of this store, it feels nice and cozy on a rainy Seattle afternoon. Plus the location is far away enough from Broadway/Olive craziness that I can usually find a parking spot right out front, if I decide to drive over instead of walk.

Really excited to visit experience another city’s donut style, but Top Pot was just okay. Went midday on a Friday and there was only a couple people in line which was great but there was also not a huge assortment left. The maple bar was large, standard in flavor. But the raspberry chocolate cake was nothing to write home about :( I did like the atmosphere of this place, easy to get to off the street and two levels of cozy seating inside!

Their apple fritters are truly to die for. The place is small, but really cozy with that 50’s impression. Now living in snobby sunny San Diego makes me miss this spot so much! Wish they could ship me the apple fritters or at least give me their secret recipe!

Be prepared for some hearty donuts. When you are standing, gazing into the window of options and your stomach is telling you to choose two or maybe three. DONOT listen. Start with one. Trust me, you can thank me later. Their glazed donuts are some of the richest I have had. Not near the top of the list for me, but I’m willing to chalk that up to a somewhat airier preference when it comes to my non-cake donuts.

If you’re looking for a fluffy and airy donut, this place might not be for you. Those who grew up on Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts might not like this place because they may not be used to more cake-light(dense cakes at that!) doughnuts. HOWEVER, as a kid who grew up on Dunkin Donuts(I love ‘em light and fluffy sometimes too!), I must tell you that you have to come here with an open mind. Their sour cream doughnuts are a thing of beauty. They are beautiful in their simplicity. I like variety and different flavors and so forth so it’s a bit surprising that their plain old fashioned doughnut is my favorite. They are like dense morsels of homemade cake and have an amazing tanginess to them which perfectly cuts their sweetness. For those looking for something more creative than just a plain donut, they have a lot of other offerings as well. They have all your standard doughnut place options and then some! I love their seasonal flavors. Besides the old fashioned, I also like their salted caramel one quite a bit. Also I have to send my praises to them about their coffee. Holy crap! I know people typically come here for the donuts but their coffee roast is so good that I’ve actually come here for an espresso drink alone! I have an espresso machine at home and the El Presidente, their medium roast espresso blend, is now my go-to after trying as many market options as I can find. For those who like their coffees less acidic and more nutty, this blend is perfect. Overall, a solid neighborhood café with great doughnuts and great coffee.
