Great beer list at great prices, and delicious Mexican food while you enjoy your pitcher of beer. Keeping it simple and awesome.

This place is definitely a neighborhood bar, and a cool one at that. They have good local beers, good places to sit and good burritos. The first time I went here the bartender was really sarcastic in a dick way, but I just brushed it off and he warmed up really quick. Every time I go back he has been nice. The other bartender is really friendly. You can play pool with a big group of friends or have an intimate date with someone at a table for two. Cool outdoor sections. Overall a really fun place to hangout.

This place is a great local neighborhood pub. It has a very casual and authentic vibe about it! The staff is genuinely friendly! The Patio is great for having a pint with your mates on a warm Seattle day!

The drink selections change quite frequently, so there’s usually something new for me to try. They also make their own burritos, tacos, and guacamole, which is all delicious. The kitchen closes at 10, but they don’t care if you bring in something from the pizza place next door. Awesome neighborhood bar!

Really love to grab drinks and little eats here. The menu isn’t huge, but what is on it is good. Love that they do specials and have a really nice variety of taps. There is a pool table, but if you want to get in on that you better show up at 4 o’clock when they open.

Decent neighbourhoody joint. I constantly forget exactly where it is. Kind of tucked away on a darker street. Nice and dark with a decent tap selection. Bartender tonight was pretty unengaged and kept asking what the name on the tab was despite the fact that there were only 5 people total in there. Everyone has an off night. no real complaints. Will return.

They have great cheap tacos made from scratch here.. they also still allow leashed dogs which is awesome in my book.

Summit pub is a true«public house» — a casual, neighborhood place to grab some beers, watch a game, catch up with friends. It’s not a pub in the decorated like an English-pub sense. It’s just an actual pub. Really great beer selection, some mixed drink specials, pretty decent food with random surprise events like paella(which they always manage to do while I’m out of town, and tease me with on Facebook). Great place to watch football matches(soccer that is) — really great crowd, but it is a crowd. Come early, and be prepared to stand. Regardless of how busy it is, I’ve always had to order at the bar. I don’t think there are servers.

Can’t say enough great about this place. One of the last neighborhood bars left on the Hill. A great place to chill with friends.

We had a good time here on a Saturday night. The bar tender was attentive when we needed him to be, and the food was wonderful.(Make sure to check out the chips and salsa, the homemade salsa was amazeballs!) I could see this being an amazing neighborhood bar, but if you’re going into Seattle — trying to find parking was a nightmare.

In a city full of rude, pretentious hipster folk, this place is the opposite of that. Strolled in here around 1AM a few months back and was actually taken back by the bartender who was more than willing to engage in friendly conversation. Definitely had a neighborhood bar vibe with a warm atmosphere. As far as bars on the hill are concerned, the Summit and Redwood are the places where I dont feel like I need to put on a guise of hipster douchebaggery. Two thumbs up from this dood!

This is exactly what a neighborhood pub should be. Good stiff drinks and friendly patrons made for a fun night of shooting pool and shooting the breeze. I will be back the next time I venture this way.

LOVE this place. The perfect little neighborhood escape from reality. Not the biggest, baddest bar on the block, but it’s my favorite for a number of reasons. Drink prices are great, and if you catch the 4 – 6 happy hour they’re even better. Good selection of brews and equally as good on the hard stuff. The Mexican flavored menu was a great surprise, and the Pico De Gallo has always been super fresh and delicious. I still have yet to try their burritos, but I hear they’re great! Bartenders are really friendly, and the atmosphere is very laid back. Oh, did I mention free pool?! Get there early if you want the table.

The friendliest bartender I’ve yet to meet on the Hill, so close to the lovely folks at Redwood, but willing to engage in some pleasant conversation. I miss that kind of stranger sociality around here, so I’ll be back soon for cheap drinks and warm vibes.

Many, many times I have successfully quaffed beers in this joint. One day I arrived and I asked the bartender to turn one of the TV’s to a USMNT soccer match and he told me that SPH was«a Mariner’s bar» and that I had to wait until the(inconsequential) beisbol game ended to see a match with consequence. Thumbs down on that day. Despite SPH’s greatness, I have never forgiven that place for their stubborn refusal on that day. I still drink there but it grinds on me.

A great neighborhood bar, lousy parking. The burritos were awesome, chips/salsa too! Fantastic beer selection. We met some friends up and had a grand old time. Much more chill atmosphere than I usually find at The Lookout, so I’d probably check this out if you’re choosing between the two

Hello friends of my neighborhood! I am a local of Capitol hill and have frequented this bar. Recently I moved within walking distance so this has become a great place to bring large groups of my friends. Last night I brought five friends and three of us girls walked in while our other friends grabbed a table outside. While waiting in line two guys in front were shadow boxing each other and the crowd was kind of wild in general. There was a group of thug kind of guys sitting to the right of the bar. So while in line one of the guys on the right sexually assaults my friend aka grabs her body in a very inappropriate manner. My friend told him not to touch her as I notified the FEMALE bartender. Here is what I got { I asked do you guys throw people out because my friend was just sexually assaulted by that man over there and I pointed to him. She said«Well if he does it again…» WOW!!! Are kidding me??? In Seattle this is the kind of thing that I don’t expect. Then The assailant begins yelling at my friend because she was not letting the assault go unnoticed. Let me also say the assailant was in a large group of friends and we were not because our other friends were outside. We decide to leave because this situation was very hostile and tell the FEMALE bartender we’re just going to leave. She replies… «Yes you should leave»!!! I will never ever ever go here again! No woman should go to this bar if she values her body! No woman should go to this bar out of respect for women! I love my neighborhood and always feel safe here! This bar does not belong next to the other amazing establishments I love! Sun Liquor is next door so go there because they make amazing drinks and care about their patrons.

I end up at Summit Public House every 3 weeks or so. It’s hard not to, the place has great beers on tap and it has a grungy vibe to it that’s somewhat relaxing to me. I have no issues with SPH, but I’ve noticed that: –Pool table get bogarted –Usually 90% dudes They shouldn’t change at all, but on a weekend it be nice not to have to nudge folks to actually play pool instead of just chillin’

This is a good place, just what I like for most nights out. Low-key, beer, a dog(or four), a pool table, & hopefully a good game on.

This small time bar is within walking distance of Broadway, but it seems miles away from the main thoroughfare with regard to its atmosphere. There aren’t huge crowds here but it’s a great place to go and watch international soccer matches as they have all of them on a DVR and seem like they just pick a new one at random one ends, and the booths are in the middle of the room, with smaller more personal tables lining the windows. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the bartender has no pretenses. Also, free pool. Can’t go wrong with free pool. This is a true gem of a pub.

This is a great little spot for a few reasons. One, it’s a bit of a dive without being dirty or full of jerks/old people. Two, it’s next to Sun Liquor so if you can’t get a seat there, this place always has tons more room.(And the drinks are cheaper!) Usually when I’ve been here I’ve liked the crowd of people hanging around. Everyone is nice, it’s not too loud, but loud enough that you feel like you’re in the company of other people trying to have a good time. If you’re a fan of spots like the Redwood or the Twilight Exit, this place should also be on your list.
