As someone who enjoys cupcakes and/or generally seeing people smile on birthdays, I would never recommend anyone order from this place. Impossible to get a hold of, don’t respond to online, e-mail, or telephone orders. Have had their cupcakes once and wouldn’t ever recommend them given how arsed the customer service and the dismal quality.

I get sucked in every time but no more. The place is lovely, the cupcakes look so pretty… but at almost $ 4.00 a cupcake, they are just ok. Nothing that spectacular. I feel like it’s a rip off. $ 21 for 5 cupcakes and even my kids didn’t finish theirs. One is still sitting on the table, untouched. How anyone could call these 5 star cupcakes is beyond me! Y’all need to get out more!

Only ok. They ship these from a central bakery and frost at the shop. You can tell they aren’t super fresh. They do say they are baked the same day but cupcakes get old fast. These aren’t standouts in terms of texture, flavor, or moistness either. Pretty run of the mill. They do have a lot of interesting flavors and choices and in general I thought their frostings were above average. Not too sweet or heavy. We did compare a gluten free chocolate cupcake with a normal chocolate cupcake and have to say the gluten free version won out(the cake was more like a flourless chocolate cake which is not surprising). Now that we’ve tried it, we don’t really need to go back or go to the one in Bellevue.

Everytime I try a new cupcake place it really doesn’t compare to trophys. Their cupcakes are always most and has just the amount of sweetness. I wish there was a location closer to home! Please move down to Tukwila!

Purchased a triple chocolate cupcake from here. The cupcake was over the top on frosting, but the real complaint was the service. We were looking through the menu options and asked questions about a couple of the flavors, the response: «Just look at the case.» Both women working never smiled and one woman even rolled her eyes at one point. They seemed extremely unhappy. I’ve never been treated this rudely in a store.

I wanted to love this place! Who doesn’t love a business with locally sourced, high quality ingredients? Not to mention I have an outrageous sweet tooth! Unfortunately, the cupcakes did not meet my expectations. I came in on a sunny Saturday afternoon. I was fully expecting them to be sold out of some flavors considering the weather and how busy U Village is on the weekends. But to my surprise, the cases were fully stocked with a variety of flavors! I love the simple décor with touches of blue. Trophy really allows the cupcakes and their bright colors to shine through! I decided on the Chocolate Peanut Butter and Red Velvet. Both cakes were very moist and flavorful, but the frosting was where I had a problem. The cream cheese frosting on the Red Velvet was definitely tangier than I’m used to. But I could get past that if I didn’t find a few chunks of cream cheese in it. The peanut butter frosting on the Chocolate Peanut Butter was packed full of flavor, but very dense and sticky like peanut butter instead of frosting. All in all, I may come back if I’m in the area but I won’t go out of my way. For more than $ 4 a cupcake, they have to have high quality ingredients AND excellent taste for me to be a return customer. Trophy Cupcakes only met one of those requirements.

Still prefer the Trophy location in Wallingford over this one in University Village, more selection and friendlier staff. However, I prefer Cupcake Royale ones better. Even one of my co-workers bests them in flavor, moistness, and inventiveness of combinations. Seattle is spoiled rotten when it comes to chocolates, cupcakes, doughnuts, pies, cookies, artisan ice cream and other tasty treats. It should not, though, have to cost $ 60 for a dozen cupcakes though!

The cupcakes not only taste and look amazing but this location has superb customer service. I am over the moon happy with my experience at the university district location today. I placed an order online for pick up. At least I thought I did. I was so sure I got to the conformation screen! Either way they did not have my order. I drove 45 minutes just to pick these up too. The manager came out and called to check if maybe I ordered for a different day. Sure enough my order was not there at all. She was committed to making this poor situation better and honored my groupon in store. The staff did everything they could to help me and didn’t let me leave empty handed. I am so very appreciative. I will definitely be returning. Thank you!

I came in and bought two cupcakes. The Nutella one was good, the chocolate overpowered the Nutella flavor a bit. But the eggnog cupcake was very dry and I couldn’t finish it. Not sure if it was just the way it was made, or if it just wasn’t fresh(they had a lot on display). It was also the pricier cupcake of the two.

Had the Samosa cupcake and loved it. The cake was very moist and the flavor was fantastic. Will definitely be back to try new flavor a on future trips.

Literally disgusting. Me and a friend took one bite and threw them away. I’ll pay $ 10 for a cupcake but this tasted like something you will find in a grocery store. Cute branding though!

I have tried about 10 of their cupcakes now and each one has been absolutely perfect. The cake is always so moist and has such great flavor. I would love to see some specialty ones with high end chocolate ganache as the frosting, like a really rich dark chocolate one. My kids and I can’t go to U-village without getting one each!

I don’t really enjoy eating cakes or cupcakes but I have to say this place is pretty good… the bread is moist and not too sweet. The cupcake itself is pretty sweet but for someone like me who doesn’t like the frosting, I tend to just wipe that part off. The bread itself is pretty good and not dry. Will def try this again some time soon!

Second rating for this place because it was just too good. Moved from los Angeles to Seattle for almost a year now, and always like to come here after a long day after work or just a feel-like-having-a-cupcake-day. Trophy cupcakes makes me happy and I just can’t have enough :)

I had a deep craving for chocolate goodness and cream cheese frosting. I brought home the triple chocolate cupcake and the salted caramel cupcake. Cute cupcakes with pretty swirls of cream cheese. Packaged in a delightful cardboard box. But meh. I shared the cupcakes with DH and… meh. Nothing special. For the price that each cupcake was, I expected deeper and fuller flavored cupcakes with cream cheese frosting that didn’t just taste like powdered sugar mixed with a bit of cream cheese. The store is cute though. And I really liked the packaging that I took my cupcake home in.

One of the best cupcakes I have ever tasted. Take it from someone who eats way more cupcakes than she should – this shop is adorable and the cupcakes are divine! I stopped by on a Saturday night. It happened to be the company’s birthday weekend so the cupcakes were even more adorable than usual. My peanut-butter chocolate cupcake with chocolate ganache and a cherry on top was heavenly peanut-buttery chocolate perfection. The chocolate cupcake was lighter than air and exceptionally moist and the peanut-butter frosting was like a little cloud of peanut-buttery perfection to offset the chocolatiness of the cake. The chocolate ganache on top added richness to the otherwise incredibly delicate texture. It was soooo good! And at less than $ 4 for a cupcake, it was also a bargain compared to a lot of other cupcake purveyors in the Seattle area. I will definitely, definitely be back.

The staff seemed so lifeless ! Such a kill in my mood ! Didn’t seem talkative or even care about the cupcakes .i had questions and she didn’t even really care to pay attention. The cupcake was okay … Too bad they didn’t have a red velvet one ! But five dollars for an okay cup cake :(maybe I will have a better experience next time !

A friend bought me a pack of gluten-free cupcakes for my birthday and I was so impressed! They were moist, delicious, rich. Usually gf food is like cardboard or tasteless. These were AMAZING. I don’t really like«shop» cupcakes because I try to make my own, but these are my special treats to myself and two of my kids who are also have celiac disease. We can’t eat much that we LOVE, but this is worth it. Worth the drive, worth the price, worth the deliciousness. Love them!

Hi, my name is Kate and I’m a cupcake-oholic. I could subsist on them alone if it were a socially-acceptable thing. But sadly it isn’t, so I do end up eating«normal» things. Though I do have a sort-of normal diet, I sneak in a cupcake from time to time. And I decided that today was the day to indulge in a cupcake. I was eager to try Trophy after being a little disappointed by the crumbly-dry cupcakes at another local cupcake chain that shall not be named. The shop at U Village is really small, but they have plenty of cupcakes in stock! I was worried that if I came in during the early afternoon, they might be sold out of some varieties. However, even though it was a holiday they had dozens of every variety ready to go. I opted to try two for now, since I really don’t need more than two and the cupcakes there are kind of expensive($ 3.75−4.00 each). I went for a plain vanilla cake and vanilla icing cupcake along with a salted caramel cupcake. The plain vanilla cupcake was delicious. The cake was dense and not overly-sweet. It had the consistency and flavor of vanilla poundcake. The icing had a slight grainy, sugary texture, but that was balanced out by buttery creaminess. The icing by itself is very sweet but it perfectly compliments the less-sweet cake. So delicious! The cupcake was perfectly moist and not dry whatsoever! The salted caramel was a little bit of a let-down in comparison, but still delicious. The chocolate cake was awesome. It was less dense and much fluffier than the vanilla cupcake. It was a dark, rich but airy chocolate cake. The icing was much more buttery in consistency, with a slight touch of salt. However, I felt the rich, caramel flavor was totally absent from the icing, except for the tiny drizzle of caramel on the top. Still tasty but not as distinctly flavored as the vanilla. All in all, these are fabulous but expensive cupcakes. They’d be great for a very special occasion for a group, or an occasional treat for yourself. They’re probably the best cupcakes I’ve bought from a shop in Seattle, and I can’t wait to treat myself with some other flavors!

Best cupcakes in Seattle! And, I mean, if MARTHA loves these cupcakes, then you know they’re legit. You can really taste the love in these cupcakes and the thought put into the quality of ingredients and flavor combinations. I would definitely recommend a trip to Trophy for a sweet treat with coffee or as a way to celebrate that special occasion! Some of my favorite flavors: Hummingbird, chocolate peanut butter, chocolate vanilla, carrot walnut, chocolate nutella and the triple coconut. Though you really can’t go wrong with any flavor you choose!
