Delicious subs, I’ll never look at Subway the same again. As others have said, the small isn’t actually that small and the large is perfect to split. The taste is always exceptional and the prices low for the quality and amount of food. Call ahead if you want to grab and go, it gets really crowded inside the shop. Only downside is the amount of parking, but that won’t deter me. Staff have always been extremely friendly.

I stop by this place all the time, girls working are very nice and subs come out super tasty and quick! I love it I can eat and have some extra time before going back to work !!

Meh. It’s fine. I don’t understand all the love for it, but I am not a huge fan of lots of sauce and toppings. If you are, then I might get it. I had the French dip, and it was fine. I’d grab it again, if someone else suggested it, but I am not ever gonna crave it.

I love Tubs. My boyfriend and I go here about every week and it never disappoints. Our usual go-to is the Chicken Amiga(comes w/ranch dipping sauce) which has the perfect amount of spice without being too spicy(I’m a baby when it comes to that). I’ve also tried the Caesar Chicken when I’m in the mood for something«lighter», or at least it feels that way. :) Anddd we also never walk away without grabbing one of their DELICIOUS chocolate chip cookies. Seriously, those things are the real reason I keep coming back! Friendly customer service — usually see the same friendly faces every week. You can call ahead for fast takeout or enjoy their seating area for dining in(nice and clean). One reason I knocked the score down is that parking can be a real drag when it gets busy. And it’s a bummer that the place isn’t open later.

Have tried many different kinds of subs off the menu and none have been bad. Much better than the chain places.

This place is so simple yet so perfect! Fresh sandwiches– can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! My favorites are the California and Veg Head. Gets pretty packed here so call ahead for to-go orders. But if you have time, eat inside and enjoy your sandwich while listening to their music! They always play catchy throwbacks :)

I’m from Buffalo, NY and every food labeled«Buffalo» has disappointed me so far in Seattle. This is the first place I’ve been to that totally NAILS it. I got the Buffalo Chicken Sub and it was amazing. The bread was perfect too. The portion size was huge and half the sub filled me up. I will definitely be back many times.

This place rocks the socks off my taste buds compared to subway, Quiznos, and others… The Grinder… My favorite sub– caramelized onions, ham, salami, lettuce, garlic mayo on toasted bread– you can’t go wrong!!! Been coming here since 95′ same great sub, same great taste!!!

I’m definitely a fan of these subs. I really like the Phoenix turkey sandwich. The bread always has the perfect amount of crunchy outside and soft inside. I wish there were more locations around Seattle.

The bread is really what makes this place great, its super tasty and the right amount of soft. The small sandwich is affordable and will fill you up while the large is great if you want to make two meals out of it. Dipping sauces come with your sandwich as well huge fan of that.

This place is ALWAYS on point! Fresh everytime! Staff is always nice and helpful. I live close by so it’s pretty convienient! The place has been clean when I’ve gone in and it’s nice to eat in the dining area without being disappointed by a dirty table. The sandwiches are made within a reasonable time. Love the bread!

I love Tubs. This place has a great variety of sandwiches that are not just your typical cold sandwich. The ingredients are always fresh and the sandwiches are JAMPACKED with goodness. I usually order a 6 inch(small) and the large is definitely a shareable sandwich. My favorites include: Cajun, Firecracker and Italian. This place can get crowded and the parking lot is pretty small. I would recommend calling in your order and then picking it up quickly. Either way, you will be satisfied and planning your return!

Tucked into a forgettable plaza in front of a street that leads to a major Seattle mall, Tubs has a gift of being easily overlooked and ignored by the average passersby. Too. Bad. Thankfully, word of mouth and Unilocal has made this sandwich place not only popular, but frequented by guests! No matter what time of day or year I go to Tubs, I’m guest number 5 or 6, which is great for them! The wait time is approximately 15 minutes, but there was one time it was almost 30 and I was completely fine with it because the food offered here is both unique and delicious. An example is the Phoenix: PHOENIX Garlic mayo, cream cheese, raspberry-chipotle sauce, Monterey jack cheese, turkey and bacon; toasted on a baguette, topped with lettuce and tomato. Some may read that and question it. I know I did! That’s why I’m daring you to toss a coin and pick anything off of the menu, because I can guarantee the combination of flavors will leave you wondering what mastermind threw raspberry and chipotle sauce together, and why you had a food coma immediately after. I was hovering between 3 and 5 stars and arrived at 4 for the following reasons: 1 less star because some of the staff seem like disgruntled teenagers whose parents forced them into getting a part time job to learn the meaning of responsibility, and their sweet treats(rice crispy treats, cookies and brownies) are $ 1.50, or something like that. You can make a whole batch for $ 4 or less. 1 added star for their free candy jar, which is always loaded with treats you can have while you wait.

Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the neighborhood. The sandwiches are filling and reasonably priced. I ordered the firecracker based on all the good ratings. However, it wasn’t nearly as spicy as I’d expected or hoped. It still tasted decent, but I was glad to have the BBQ sauce to give it that extra kick of flavor.

I initially drove all the way up to Lake City because I wanted to go to Aloha Ramen, but that stupid place is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Ugh. Fortunately, Tubs was right down the road. I decided to order the Phoenix. I also grabbed a bag of Tim’s potato chips and a Henry Weinhard’s vanilla cream to wash it all down. I can’t imagine what the large sandwich looks like, because the small versions that they serve are more than enough food. When I sat down and unwrapped my sandwich everything fell apart. I had to spend time putting all of the lettuce back on my sandwich, which was a minor inconvenience. The bread is nice, but a little too soft and squishy, making it difficult to bite into and tear apart. The ingredients invariably leave the interior of the sandwich, because of the manner in which you are forced to squeeze the bread in order to procure a bite. You also need to be wary of the hard exterior, because it can cut your gums and roof of your mouth. These sandwiches taste great, but it looks like they might purposefully minimize the amount of meat and cheese used. There are certain establishments where this practice is more noticeable(a few slices of meat and a giant pile of lettuce) like Meconi’s in Thurston County, but Tubs isn’t overtly cheap with their supply. Ultimately, this is a pretty good place. I would probably rank them somewhere in the middle, but far above corporate enterprises like Subway, Jimmy John’s, Quiznos, etc. If you’re ever in the area, stop by for lunch and help support a great local business.

Between the 5 of us, we ordered 2 California’s, a Buffalo Chicken, a bowl of clam chowder, a turkey kids meal and a PBJ kids meal. 1. I know I didn’t talk to everyone who works there, but I’m going to go ahead and say that every single person who works there, is so nice. Even the guy who folds his shorts up like a girl. Nice quads btw ;p 2. Everything was so delicious. My boyfriend doesn’t like going to sandwich shops. He always complains about how we can just make the same things at home for a fraction of the cost, but the buffalo chicken sandwich was a game changer for him apparently. The California’s, perfect. The kiddo eating the PBJ Is a super finicky eater but totally ate half(she’s tiny) her sandwich. But trust, between the other 3 adults, the other half of the sandwich didn’t go to waste. 3. My only complaint about this place is that it’s damn near a 45 minute drive from my house!!!

I can’t believe I haven’t tried Tubs until a few months ago. Their sandwiches are absolutely delicious, and a much better deal than what you would get at Subway or Jimmy John’s. For the taste and quality, this place wins. My current favorite is the Firecracker that comes with the BBQ dipping sauce. I have also tried the Grinder and Godfather which are also tasty. Their sandwiches take about 10 – 15 min to make since they are made to order, so I would suggest ordering over the phone before arriving to pick one up to go.

Stopped in for a quick lunch before going out for the afternoon. My boyfriend and I easily split a large California sandwich and it was fantastic. There are a ton of sandwich options, definitely something to satisfy most people. Price was right($ 11 for a large, $ 7 for a small) and it wasn’t too crowded(granted it was a weekend in the late afternoon).

So good! Get the Grinder! It’s where you can find all the meat you want(just like the app). The Firecracker will light up your mouth with spice. Don’t forget to use the dipping sauce.

You know when you walk by a Subway sandwich shop and the fragrance of freshly-baked bread catches your attention… and you just CRAVE a bread-fest right then and there, so you’re lured in to deal with miserable sandwich«artists» who flop whatever ingredients you said you wanted plus those you said you didn’t want and then sit down for a bite of delicious-smelling CRAP. Those experiences are a mood killer! Tubs has the bread you expected you’d be receiving as you walked past that Subway. Really. BEST bread, hands down. The freshness, the doughiness plus the crispness on the outside… all fresh ingredients on the inside, and packed up by a kind staff! My favorite non-gourmet sandwich shop.
