The girl that works there is cute and food is also great! The people who run it are also great.

This place is the definition of a hole in the wall restaurant. It’s a small grocery store with 3 – 4 tables and plastic chairs in the front. Menu is on the wall with pictures. This is as authentic as it gets for Laotian food. Prices are cheap and portion size is right. I tried the Thai noodle soup, the thick broth had intense flavors with a myriad of goodies including intestines, pork blood, beef heart. Not for the faint of heart… if you prefer something more normal, try the beef noodle soup instead. The spring rolls are huge and very tasty. I also tried the beef jerky, I prefer my beef jerky a little softer, so next time I might order the grilled beef instead. They have Laotian sausages as well in the refrigerator section. They also have some pre packaged salads and cold items in the fridge, as well as some desserts near the cash register. My parents live 3 minutes from this gem… I kick myself for not having come here sooner!

Authentic laos food. Their papaya salad is so bomb. We bought it for a get together and everybody killed it. We went back and got the noodle version and asked for it extra spicy and they weren’t kidding, it was hella spicy but so good where you couldn’t stop eating it. Definitely will be going back when we craving laos food.

This little Lao market has been around since I was a kid. It’s a great place to get authentic Lao food and snacks. I stop by when I need some supply to cook Lao food as well as for the Lao beef jerky, meet balls, sour pork, and spicy mango.

I just had dinner here, I ordered the Khao piak sien, and pork egg rolls. Both were fantastic, fresh, and fast service. They were also very nice and make the experience great, I’ll definitely be going back.

Authentic Laos food! Down to the plastic tables, flimsy chairs, and generous portions of greens served with the meal, this is as close as I have seen to matching the small side resturants of Laos and Thailand as you can find around Seattle. As a bonus, you don’t have the wait that you would have eating in ID, plus there is free oarking. Also sells some groceries, though not a lot. There is some prepared food/condiments(delicous Laos sausage) available in the cooler section.

Best/Only place to get authentic Lao food! They have menu items that I haven’t been able to find anywhere else. I love how they give Lao sauce on the side when you order their Lao sausage. They have a variety of different types of papaya salad. They have noodles I can’t find anywhere else. They make nam khao(pork, rice, lettuce wraps) just the way I love it! Their peppers are very spicy! The only thing that sucks is the size of the place. This is more like a small Laotion grocery market/deli. There are only 3 small tables inside. I think they would make great business if they ever decided to expand into a restaurant.

This is more of a corner store /deli than it is a grocery store. If you’re looking to go grocery shopping, this wouldn’t be the spot to do it at. If you’re looking to grab some delicious and authentic Laos food to-go(or to eat there) or you need to grab some oyster or fish sauce, then this is the store to go to. I love coming here for quick bites to eat when I have a craving for Laos food but don’t want to go to a restaurant. You can also get traditional Lao clothing, DVDs, medicine from Laos, and many other items that you would only find at a small Asian store.

I LOVETHEIR homemade packaged meals and traditional side dishes. AHHHH if you want to try something authentic, laotian and/or thai, this is the spot. They use the real sauces, the real ingredients. YUMMY!!! Lots of asian veggies, dry goods and a small little restaurant too. Try it, you’ll love the flavor of Southeast asian cusine you can find in this little store.

I’m happy I found this neat little place! It somewhat blends in seemlessly within this small cookie-brown stripmall and menu(more later) pictures serve as window privacy screens, as well. The outside is what it is and then you enter… …lots of groceries you can find at Asian groceries as well stuffs you can only find here perhaps central to the Laos the region. Some munchies, pre-packaged noodles, dry noodles, can drinks I’ve never seen before, a nice selection for you home-cookers… I got some Thai coconut wafer box and dried jackfruit snacks. The bag/company claimed these weren’t made/stored via chemicals so that’s cool. Now the deli food! When I looked around up front, a gentleman checked with me. I asked about the deli food and he pointed to the windows — oh, the picture menu right there! Lots of tasty-lookin’ dishes and I asked if he preferred anything. After considering my super vast options before me, the Pad Krapow sounded great. That it is(beef and/or another meat, I forgot) and with the fried egg as well as the egg rolls(order of 7). All to-go and the pad krapow was pretty tasty — make sure to mix it together! Mmmm. The egg rolls with the fairly standard tangy sauce were good; weren’t saturated or overly wet and a nice crispy layer. I want to try more of the meat and rice dishes! Also, I wonder if they still have those sweet rice cake things made fresh that Alanna mentioned 4 years ago. Nice staff and the girl up front is nice, if a bit soft-spoken. Check it out. And if you eat in, there’s only 2 tables for probably 6 – 8 max(?).

I gotta say, might not be the best service, but I have to support anything Lao. I absolutely LOVE their homemade Lao sausages. Reminds me of my mom’s when she used to make them. For $ 5 a bag, you get 5 sausages that are huge. Yum! My favorite thing, is their Lao peppers… in the jar. Mmmm, so freshly made and so dayum tasty. My favorite pepper. Get the one that is the pad-dec… that one, is the tastiest. But do be aware they have changed from $ 5 a jar to $ 12. Ugh, that’s a turn off. But I have to say, if you like asian peppers, you’ll love the jarred peppers. Good for Lao sausages, with sticky rice, etc. Yes, their papaya salad, does not play. If you say 5 star, that is a damn 10 star. Hahaha, they know how we like ‘em! So if you don’t eat spicy, don’t get any stars. If you normally eat about a 2 – 3 star, get like a 1 or 2 star. Because a 3 star will get your ears going numb, sweat coming out, and tears in your eyes. But it tastes so good. They have lovely Thai/Lao cds/music which I love. They have fresh produce and herbs which I appreciate. They have other Thai/Lao products which you know it’s authentic. Things have changed since their new owner a few year(s) ago… but nonetheless, you can count on fresh peppers, and fresh lao sausages! Sabaidee!

love supporting the mom and pop shops in my neighborhood. the papaya salad is good bang for your buck and holy cow it is SPICY!!! 2 stars is more than enough. to accompany the papaya salad i like the chicken and/or the sausage. both which comes with a nice side of sticky rice. i can feed myself and the bf for $ 12 here, talk about a deal! call ahead and place your order as the food can take a while to prep or browse the little grocery store and stock up on your asian goodies while you wait. they accept credit card if your purchase is over $ 10.

Considering that this is one of the few laos market in seattle, this is my ideal spot to for laos food. Their papaya salad is hands down one of the best i’ve had since moving to seattle. There’s an even an option where you can add vermicelli noodles which soaks up favor & helps out with how spicy it is! They offer alot of pre — made food at the front cash register as well as the fridge, but my favorite one would be the beef larb & the chilli dipping sauce. They also have an eggplant dipping sauce, but I ended up throwing away everything ;(The last time I made a visit, we were gonna try their noodle dish(kapoon) but the young girl in the back that was talking on phone with her friend was so rude so I just left. The menu posted on the wall wasn’t completely in english so I was questioning the difference between the pictures & since there was a language barrier between me & the owner… things got kinda complicated. But she just rudely questioned whether or not i want it & went back to her phone conversation. I ended up getting my usual papaya salad & she didn’t even say thanks or hand me my food. Instead, she left it in the front cash register so I could pay for it. I was originally gonna give this place 4 stars, but knocking off two stars for the eggplant &RUDESTAFF

It’s one of the only Lao markets I know anywhere close to the area so I don’t have much to compare it too. It’s small and right smack dab on MLK, also next to a Speed-E-mart so parking is a hassle. Oh as well as the whole right turn only thing, that kinda sucks considering you’re on MLK and it gets pretty congested. Anyway, I usually come here when I don’t feel like cooking and craving some Lao food. Normally, I get the flat beef jerky(don’t know how to spell it), some raw beef lap, filled tapico balls or that one pork meat thing. Haha I know what they are but I can’t think of the names. If you’re looking for some«fast» Lao food, all homemade of course, just stop by here if you’re in the area. It’s the closest thing you’ll find.

Lao markets are hard to come by in Seattle. Once in awhile I like to stop here on a weekend when they make these fresh rice cake type snacks. It’s hard to explain but it’s almost a ½ round made from rice flour and somewhat doughy and cooked in this specialty pan. The closest thing I can compare it to is stuffed pancake or ½ of it and not stuffed You can sprinkle a little sugar on it and it turns into a delightful treat. There are also some other Lao snacks up front that are made daily. If you want to sample a few things or are just too lazy to cook and don’t feel like ordering from a restaurant it’s a nice place to stop. You can also find unusual herbs(and I’m not talking about MJ), rent Thai soaps and purchase Lao music CDs and DVDs.
