I love my glasses from Wink. The owner was very patient with me in helping pick out glasses. The glasses in her shop are very fashionable and of quality. I will be going back for a second pair.

Okay I am going to admit from the outset that 1) I want to look good but have no eye for fashion and 2) hate shopping for glasses. Luckily Michelle at Wink Eyewear is awesome at looking at your face and your style and BOOM here are some frames that look awesome on you! And she makes it so easy and fun! I have bought my last three pairs of glasses from Wink Eyewear and I get nonstop complements — seriously. Unique, top quality, COOL! Top designers, latest styles. Are they cheap like LensCrafters? No. Thank god. They are FAIRLY priced and professionally measured, and each pair is hand-​picked by someone who wants her clients to be happy. Another bonus — Columbia City means easy parking. Doesn’t get better than that.

Some people shoe shop, some people clothes shop: I glass shop. Whenever there is an eyewear shop, I go in. If it is closed, I window shop. I look for sun glasses, reading glasses, and regular glasses.
Since I’ve worn glasses since the 2^nd grade, I’ve tried on a lot of glasses and shopped at trendy and not so trendy stores.
Before I went into Wink, I had bought glasses at Market Optical (4 pairs), Ottica (3 pairs), Spex (3 pairs), in the last several years. I know the value of glasses as accessory, as well as glasses as a constant companion.
This year was the year I had a prescription for bifocals, which was difficult for me because I like to wear tiny frames. When I stopped by the first time, Michele was helpful and understood.
She even gave me the name of a great optometrist.
When I went to buy the frames, I couldn’t decide she had so many great frames to choose from. I brought in friends and my husband to help me winnow the frame choice down. We kept finding more great frames.
I finally decided one pair wouldn’t work: I chose traditional librarianish frames that had kind of a houndstooth pattern for an every day look and then a pair of green and blue frames with citron temples for a more adventurist look.
Guess what? When the frames came in, I loved the librarianish frames. I regretted the fun, daring frames. Michele offered to send them back and have me pick a comparable frame for a redo. I took her up on that (and when I wanted to be wild, regretted that decision too, but that’s my deal, not Michele’s.) What great customer service. She won my loyalty with that offer, and she never made me feel bad about it.
Since then I’ve bought sunglasses, had new glasses put in old frames, and gone to a trunk show. I am looking forward to the next trunk show when she showcases yet another new eyeglass line.

A+ Service! This place is great! Michele is super helpful and this location carries tons of great brands, even hard to find ones (as in my case, looking for «SALT» brand in Washington). I would definitely recommend her and she is mobile, so if you don’t have time to make it there, it’s possible to schedule an appointment for her to come to you! neat!
