Great bacon chowder, good coffee. Also conveniently located in Fremont. I thought the service was kind of standoffish, but I prefer that, however others who prefer a cozy, friendly atmosphere where a cashier/barista chats you up may not like it.

Don’t bother. I should’ve known it wasn’t going to be great when there wasn’t a person eating in the place at noon on a Saturday. The restaurant was freezing cold, the service was not great, and my hot sandwich was cold in the center. There are plenty of good places nearby– pick somewhere other than yellow dot.

Stopped in for a mocha. The drink was perfect! Sometimes, people put too much chocolate in their drinks but this one was just right. The place seemed clean and pretty decent. I would come back here again for a snack.

Food is decent but nothing to rave about. Nice chain if you’re looking to grab something quick. We came during brunch and thought we couldn’t order bc they had different times posted. The tomato basil soup is good and salad is big.

We went to this place on a whim as another joint was closed. It has a nice outdoor seating area and looked good from the vibe inside. That’s about the only thing good. 1. Pricy for brunch especially for the quality 2. Slow! It too forever to order, get our food and check especially since it seemed relatively empty. 3. Wrong order: My friend ordered a vegetarian eggs Benedict and was brought one with ham and waitress blamed it on the cook and said it was going to take quite a while to get the correct order. So my friend ended up leaving since she would have been late to work. They also had some cheese in another friend’s vegan hummus wrap. 4. I ordered the Mac n cheese omelette which was decent except for only getting three small potatoes and barely any egg in the dish. 5. Condiments! Only got ketchup on request no jam or butter and only two tiny hot sauce packets! 6. No utensils for coffee and it seemed like a burden when we asked for sugar. Did not seem that prepared for customers…

I’ve only been in Seattle a short while, but the Yellow Dot Café is quickly becoming one of my default places to post up with a laptop, have a meal, and do some work. Breakfast:(3⁄5) I’ve had a coffee and the bacon breakfast burrito. The burrito itself was rather bland, but not bad. The coffee was about par for Seattle coffee, which means it was good. Lunch:(5⁄5) The pike place panini is awesome, and I’d definitely recommend it. I think that their strawberry lemonade is also freshly prepared — it’s fantastic. It is a *little* on the pricey side, which is keeping it from me rating it 5 stars, but I’d definitely still recommend it to anyone passing through lower Fremont.

After coming from the Solstice Parade, my friend and I were parched and in need of coffee and water. We don’t frequent Fremont much, so decided to stop into this cute little café. I had an iced hazelnut latte and my friend grabbed an iced white mocha. Both were delicious — I cannot wait to go back. The upside of this place is the food looked on point, $ 15 bottomless mimosas are part of the menu, and they had craft beer on tap. Doesn’t get much better.

This review is for brunch only. I decided to go to Yellow Dot Café with a group of six recently last Saturday around 10am. As it was a really nice day outside, we decided to sit outside. There were a few other tables outside but it was not busy; only a few tables of people inside. After my experience with Yellow Dot, I do not recommend anyone to go there for both the service and food was subpar. I would have thought the place was super busy for the low level of service we received but it was not. No excuses. Below is a summary of my poor experience with Yellow Dot: 1. I ordered the bottomless mimosas without noticing the change of price. The menu online shows $ 10. Yellow dot changed the price to $ 15 using a sharpie on all the menus. Definitely not professional but nevertheless, this was only 1 minor setback. 2. It took a very long time to get water. The first batch of mimosas was also a long wait but we had to wait even longer for water; I would say over 15 – 25 min. We were all sitting with empty glasses for a long time and we noticed the table next to us had pitchers. We asked for both a pitcher of water since it took so long and a pitcher of mimosas for the 6 of us. The pitcher of mimosas eventually came but no pitcher of water. In fact, half of us had to wait for waters and we never got refilled 3. 2 of the 6 people were served food. We had to wait for silverware. Then finally the silverware came with the rest of the food. We asked for ketchup, jelly, and hot sauce(no condiments on the table). After we were all done eating the majority of our meals, we finally received the items we asked for — note we asked MULTIPLETIMES 4. The actual food: a) the bread was very dry and did not taste good. Jelly would have helped if they would’ve given it to us while we were eating. A few of us saved our toast to try with the much anticipated jelly. Still did not help; I don’t know how you screw up toast?! b) The«potatoes» that came with the dish were just a few wedges. Although, they were at least tasty. c) horrible omelets. No one was particularly thrilled with the omelets. I ordered the New Yorker and it was way too much cream cheese — I had to dismantle my omelet to remove the extra cream cheese. The person across from me ordered the same omelet and she did not have as much cream cheese as mine which means they have inconsistency with their food 5. The last straw for me with Yellow Dot was getting the bill. We were sitting there for a very long time. I finally went inside and asked for the check because I was in a hurry. 20MINUTESLATER the checks finally arrived after I checked for a 2nd time and the waitress fully admitted she forgot. One person never received their espresso but was charged. We were also assessed a 10% service fee that was added to our check. Odd amount in my opinion. I had to physically walk back inside to hand the waitress the checks — all in one book. Then, she ran 4 out of 6 cards. Apparently 2 cards slipped out?! I handed her all the cards on the counter next to the POS system; I don’t see how 2 can fall out?! This waitress was very untrustworthy! In sum, DONOTGOHERE!

Super quiet when we went in. We ordered a chicken Caesar salad and a chicken club panini. I wish I had taken a photo to show you how small this panini was. I completely understand that this is a small café, but this panini looked like it had been made on a piece of wonder bread! Needless to say we were disappointed. The salad was a great size. It had almost no dressing, however. The girls behind the counter were very nice, which is why they are getting a 3 star review. The service was great.

I can only review on their coffee, but the few times I’ve come in before work, their coffee has pleased me. I also highly suggest their summer suggestion of the green tea mixed with juice. It definitely hit the spot on hot summer days. They also had(the last time I was there) Boundary Bay on tap, and I’m always looking for new places that have my favorite Bellingham flavor around Seattle.

I like this location better than their South Lake Union café. Better view and staff are so friendly and helpful. My friend and I both ordered salads. Mine was the chicken Cobb. We both had special requests(no walnuts, dressing on the side, etc) and they got them right! Super delish salads around $ 9. Good location, good food, and great staff!

I think the location of this place keep it from getting more business as it isn’t right on the main«drag» in Fremont. It has become my default brunch location since moving to Fremont. The food is great. I’m not normally a fan of scrambles but their roma scramble was delish and I would order again for sure. Mimosas are $ 5 each so do yourself a favor and go bottomless for $ 10 since you know you’re going to have at least two anyways! :-) Staff is pretty laid back but still attentive. You order at a counter but then they bring the food out to your table and provide table service for drink re-fills, etc. They also have room to accommodate large parties if need be.

So went here on President’s Day with a girlfriend of mine for lunch. It was this place or Blue C and after a quick round of rock paper scissors, this spot was the winner. Upon entering I was surprised to learn that it was really more a coffee shop with food offerings than an actual restaurant. Of course had I done my research, I would have figured that out. Regardless I was impressed with their selection of sandwiches and other offerings. I ended up ordering a chicken bacon ranch wrap and a side salad. My companion ordered a half pike place panini and side salad. My wrap was pretty good. It was thick, filled with grilled chicken and bacon, real cheddar cheese, veggies and their homemade ranch which was delicious all enveloped in a spinach wrap. My side salad, for which I paid $ 4 was nothing but chopped lettuce, a few sprinkles of tomatoes and a dash of cheese. If I had known that was what a side salad was I would have passed. My companion’s panini was yummy too. Again the salad way disappointing especially for the price. With all the options in Fremont, this isn’t likely a place I would visit again but then again if you want a quick bite or a place to catch up, the yellow dot may just be the spot!

I have parents that are fairly snobby, vegetarian eaters. It’s hard to find a place they’ll like, especially for brunch. While they were in town, I was panicking for a place to take them on Sunday morning. Out of desperation, I settled on Yellow Dot. They didn’t seem to have an online menu so we chanced it and went for brunch, site and menu unseen. We were very glad we did. First things first: The service was excellent. We had the most adorable server who was down to earth, funny, attentive and very quick. She handled all my parents’ high maintenance requests with ease and humor and helped us all find just the right dish! When the food arrived, it was delicious, and plentiful. A definite win with my parents, and my boyfriend and I go back occasionally for Sunday morning $ 10 Bottomless Mimosas. I mean, are you kidding me with this?! How can it get any better?!

I always thought of Yellow Dot as a coffee shop. My colleagues and I had gone there for lunch. I ordered the Tuna melt and a vegetarian mixed lentil soup. My colleagues who eat other forms of meet ordered the non vegetarian sandwiches. The food was delicious and it came out to about $ 10 a piece for lunch. The place can get packed at lunch hour in South Lake Union, so be prepared for a line. Make sure you check the order. I am a pescatarian and had ordered the veggie soup — they inadvertently gave me the non veg. soup and I ate a piece of it… bummer. They did replace the soup. I would have rated it at 4 stars otherwise. A good place for a soup and a sandwich in SLU.

This was an unplanned stop for us. As we headed into explore the Fremont area, we were suddenly hit with the«hungries» and after walking across the bridge, this was immediately on our right. We didn’t really know what to expect — we just needed food. It was a very pleasant stop. The food was stellar — eggs benedict were cooked to perfection and the hollandaise sauce magnificent. The atmosphere was breezy and light with an eclectic music choice in the background. The staff was friendly and the cook actually came out to our table to find out how we liked it. Unfortunately, she lost all interest in our review as soon as she found out we were not going to be repeat customers since we were from podunk Kansas. Ah, well. If we could, we would. The only other thing is the price — it’s not cheap. So, yes, if you’re looking for a light lunch or leisurely brunch, this is a great stop. A great spot if you have a date you’d like to sit and chat with for a while because the atmosphere is so inviting and comfortable.

Just got done with a pretty mediocre wrap at Yellow Dot in Fremont. It was probably worth 3 stars. I’m leaving a one-star review because the chair that I was sitting in outside completely collapsed while I was sitting in it. The other patrons all expressed shock and asked if I was ok, but staff never came out. My sister then went inside and told them about what happened. The guy behind the counter came out and said, «oh, whoa, well, we better hide that.» That was it. I was in shock, but after I ate and bussed my plate, I asked the guy at the counter again why he thought this could have happened. «Well, probably because they’re really cheap chairs. I think we’re getting new one’s» I can understand that this guy makes minimum wage and probably has limited social skills — but c’mon Yellow Dot. They didn’t apologize, nor did they ask if I was ok. Completely terrible customer service.

Clean place, large bright windows. I went there in the early afternoon, well after the lunch rush was over. I wasn’t greeted immediately, but pretty quickly nonetheless. I had a honey-almond latte, which was unique. The flavor was distinctly mellow honey and rich, warm almond — but the almond syrup flavor felt a bit fake-ish to me. However, it was a nice latte and gave me the midafternoon pick me up I needed! I’d return to try food sometime, but honestly wasn’t terribly inspired by their selection of sandwiches and salads. It’s quite close to my workplace, though, so worth a try!
