I have lived in Sebastopol for my whole life and have given this store multiple opportunities to redeem themselves. Not only are they over priced but they have terrible customer service. The two women that work there are rude, abrasive and don’t listen. I always try and buy local so I recommend Riley street art supply, they have better prices and selection.

Walking into art & soul literally warmed my soul! Their extensive supplies are unbeatable! I could have spent hours marveling at all the creative ideas, supplies, paints, oils, artwork, chalk, chalkboards, art kits of all kinds… I really could go on and on. They have just about every type of paper you could imagine! I needed kite paper today for lanterns and within minutes I was helped with kindness, courtesy, wisdom, knowledge, brilliance and smiles. :)) I am extremely thankful for the help from botn Brian and Margaret! Thank you! They helped me pick out the perfect colors and even showed me which kind was on sale! :)) This is a local business that takes our wonderful«go local» card and with more smiles. :)) I encourage you to support your local community, by shopping locally! It really makes a difference! Thank you Art & Soul! This is where I will be purchasing all my families and my son’s school art supplies from now on. :)

It seems the staff at Art & Soul have become more attentive and helpful, so I’m giving a better rating and review. Margaret at the Annex is super helpful and will order just about anything you might need.

I love this place, I can always make order of large amounts of paint or canvas’s that shortens the normal price and come pickup my order in a manner of days. They have always accommodated me, therefore I have been going here for years.

Adorable little art supply store that is divided into two parts. There is the supply part that has serious art supplies. A huge selection of pencils… everything from graphite to charcoal in many different textures. All were organized really well too. There’s an entire room dedicated to canvases and a section for paper. There were racks of slightly smaller than tag board sized sheets of colored paper in just about any color you could want, huge supply of sketch pads too. There was a pen section where you could buy them individually, they even had a rack of jelly roll gel pens(remember that craze? yeah, those pens are still around). Also, water colors and acrylics. There’s a Unilocal deal for 40% off watercolor supplies if you check in.

Great art store. They have a wide variety of materials and lots of inspiration! There often are good sales on canvases and pens. In general the prices may be a bit higher than the«big art stores» but hey with gas prices and time I always try Art & Soul first!

I’m really glad Sebastopol has a store like this. Some things are pricey, but most everything is reasonable and the staff is always super friendly. I just took my first ever art class and had no idea what to get. The store owner helped me SO much! And got me a deal! And she has a goofy sense of humor, which was entertaining in a small dose. Also, if you like jellybeans, they serve those at the counter.

This is an art supply store full of paints, canvas(a whole back room just for this!) notebooks, ink, charcol, pencils– everything you might need for traditional art and crafting’! They have just recently opened a new annex next door for all their more crafty oriented supplies. This is where a lot of the kid friendly things are. And it is where they have their scrapbook supplies, which is what I was interested in. They have a good selection of 12×12 cardstock paper in many colors at 60 cents ea. They have albums, brads, adhesive, stamps, stickers, and stencils. I was surprised to find that they were a little cheaper on some items like puff paint and albums than most small, local art supply stores. All employees were helpful and friendly. It is owned by two women who are life long partners who are also trying to make a difference in their community through art. Also they offer green products such as note and sketch books made with wind power and recycled paper. I don’t live in Sebastopol so this would not be my first stop for supplies, but if and when I find myself lacking something important for the creative process this is where I will head. Support Local Business.
