This adorable store is a blast to visit, and the lovely ladies who work here are incredibly helpful. If you are looking for gifts, this is the place to shop!

I frequently shop here. It is locally owned with great products and often new items that I haven’t seen before. The staff is great and yesterday was a great example. I requested some creative help to choose items for the top of a gift. Pat stepped forward and we had a fun time choosing a spatula and a beautiful wine themed towel. She asked what color ribbon I would like then in a matter of minutes I had the perfect gift topper. Wow, I know it is going to be the hit at the bridal shower.

Today I stopped into Cultivate housewares in Sebastopol. They had a multiple selection of what I was looking for and the service was excellent. They even beautifully gift wrapped my package. What a great store. Small town shopping, I love it!

Great store. Only need to be better about ordering stuff they don’t have to get 5 stars. Really nice people. Cool shit.

I like this place! First of all, it’s locally owned and operated; secondly, it has a good selection that’s not so large that it’s overwhelming and, thirdly, Cultivate’s prices are reasonable, usually less than the chain kitchen stores. Forthly, staff is helpful and knowledgeable without being overbearing. Fifth, the folks who work there are nice, pleasant and friendly. If you haven’t been there yet, it’s worth checking it out and you’ll probably feel the same way about it. And, on top of everything else, it’s just a few steps away from the Sebastopol Cookie Company for a good bittersweet chocolate(bittersweet chocolate is a health food, you know) for an after purchase treat

I went in here to do some last minute Christmas shopping and they had everything I needed. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful. They even offered me a free complimentary gift wrap and it was beautiful! Everyone there is always so pleasant and cheerful. I hope to come back very soon.

This place can best be described as Sur la Table without the pretension. I do love Sur la Table, but Cultivate is just so down-to-earth and sans the big price tag. I found two favorite soup spoons there for eating Asian soups like Phở and miso. «Soup spoons?» you ask. Well, anyone who eats soup on a regular basis knows what I mean. I was able to find beautiful white porcelain spoons with a little hook on the end so they balance on the edge of your giant soup bowl and don’t slip down into the depths beneath your noodles. Each spoon cost $ 3.50 each. I found similar spoons at another overpriced housewares store for over $ 10 each! The store is clean and beautifully organized. Each table and shelf display was purposefully arranged with care. Like the previous reviewer said, there is plenty of room to move around, lest you may be the type to accidentally send a set of Riedel wine glasses plummeting to the floor. Story of my life…

Cultivate is the perfect place to go for a gift or a home item you didn’t know you needed. I’m not sure I would go for something specific, like a cassis La Creuset Dutch oven, because the selection is small. But I would definitely go there if I had a general want, like a tea set or crystal. Everything is chosen with care, right down to the bags and business cards, and the selection is lovely. I found culinary lavender, some wonderful Japanese mugs and some mk bottles from Italy. Just as the selection is broad, so is the price range. You could spend a small fortune if you wanted to, but you can also come away with lovely. things for a song. The staff is chatty and knowledgable and there is enough room tptb move around(a must for a store with lots of breakable items).
