Fun place to shop for a Christmas tree. We loved having pine cones on our Christmas tree, we thought it was so cool to find so many with the pine cones attached. Mrs. Claus was eager to read to the kids whenever they were ready. They had multiple places to take family pictures in the barn. We really enjoyed our time at Frosty Mountain.

If you don’t need a living tree, this is the absolute BEST Christmas tree farm in Sonoma County. They even told me where to go find a living tree. These days people seem to be in a poverty mind set and seem to be fearful of giving advice to purchase from anyone else besides their own business, this place is the opposite. It’s family run and has loads of family fun! I could have spent the entire day there! You can hunt for your tree and cut it yourself or pick from the beautiful precut trees that they have. The vibes between Reindeer ridge vs Frosty mountain were unreal! Our whole family felt a lightness when leaving reindeer ridge and the chaos there… then when entering frosty mountain… it was like a magic wand of bliss was we’d over us all. The kids you frosty Mountain! Oh yeah… tip…they have hard core coffee there… pony rides, an adoption area for animals, we saw mrs. Claus and this is our new family tradition. Sorry reindeer ridge… but we are moving on to what resonates with us. Peace and blessings to all! 1

Felt rushed. We were barked at in the parking lot for trying to park in a totally acceptable parking spot. When we returned to our vehicle, someone was in that spot that we tried to park in! Odd place, and very expensive. A lot of the tree farms give out popcorn or free cider, but not here. If you want it you pay a dollar. The petting zoo really stinks to high heavens.

My eighteen month-old niece, my sister, and my brother-in-law visited here this afternoon. What a charming, friendly place! We had actually already bought our tree, but wanted to take our niece to the petting zoo, and check out ornaments: just do Christmas stuff. Therefore, I can’t tell you about tree prices, except they did have«mini» ones about 2-feet tall that were $ 19, which seemed like a good price to me. Talking of prices, a very refreshing aspect of our experience was that the people who ran the place really seemed to love what they were doing, and weren’t necessarily in it for the money. Example: it’s $ 3 for a child to get into the small, non-depressing petting zoo, but the adult who goes in with them is free!(If both Mom and Dad go in, they do charge for the extra adult, which was fine. The other parent, however, can always stay behind and take pictures, easily. And you can hand him your purse when the baby goat looks like he’s ready to nibble it! The chickens were very tame, and actually let us pet them: that goes for the mellow rooster, too!(Who can eat chicken after petting such sweet and beautiful animals? I felt glad I’m vegan.) The baby goats were a riot, and there were also 2-week old rabbits. And you can go in as many times as you wanted, which was cool. There was also a sign mentioning the money was going to rescue animals, I believe. Inside, where Kind and friendly Mrs. Claus will read you a story, it’s packed with pretty ornaments. I got a bag of popcorn for a buck, and a cup of hot cider for a buck. Clearly, they’re not trying to take advantage of anyone. Re: bathrooms; there are port-a-potties, and there’s a sink inside near Mrs. Claus, and hand sanitizer at the counter. One thing I will say is that although there does seem to be a lot of parking, people who bring their tress back to be shaken and have a hole drilled in the trunk use the same road as cars, and so there can be a back up of cars on busy days. Ideally, the farm will address that, but it seemed like an especially busy weekend, so maybe that usually isn’t a problem. In short, although we already have a place we like to go to where the trees are already cut for you, we might try this place out next year!

All the wonderful things other reviewers have said are true. This tree farm is seriously the happiest little place you could ever hope to be. Every person you encounter is sweet, helpful, and super cheery. Even the family dog, old retriever Simon, will greet you with a waggly tail and lots of love. The prices are pretty decent. We got a 6ft tree for about $ 35 after discount. Go to their website to print out a $ 5 off coupon :) Regardless of price, the real reasons we will continue to come here are because it’s just so quaint, pretty, and friendly.

We’ve been getting our tree here for 7 years. I love this place. Cutting down our tree has been a wonderful family tradition. Sad to see that the nearby apple farm closed it’s Christmas craft shop, though.

The is a great place to get your tree! I took the family there for the first time about three years ago and it has now become a family tradition. Originally we were looking for their neighbor«Reindeer Ridge,» but Frosty mountain is what their competition strives to be. This place and its people are friendly and have a genuine aura of warmth to them. While i grew up not being too into Christmas this place has a way of putting you in the Christmas spirit and it is a great way to pend a morning and start a new family tradition. With the $ 5.00 coupon on their website you leave with a great tree at an okay price. Hay rides around the tree farm, small playground and a petting Zoo are a few highlights. The«Santa Shop,» smells of warm apple cider and fresh popped popcorn, has great decorations for trees and we pick up a new one every year. The only detractor i would say is that three years ago they had great petting zoo with a miniature breed of cow, goats, sheep, rabbits, etc. Now the petting zoo consist of ducks, chickens and rabbits not what i would call a petting zoo. That said we look forwarded to going back to Frosty Mountain Tree Farm year after year.

This place is awesome. I’m sort of a blah Christmas type of person, but this is the one place where the people, the scent in the air, the music, and the taste of warm apple cider REALLY gets me in the Christmas spirit! Wandering around the mountain, finding that perfect Christmas tree, couldn’t be a better experience. They hand you a saw on your way up and will help you drag it off the mountain or will supply a wagon for you. Then they drill it with a perfectly straight hole for their spikey-stand, even if your tree is crooked. Obviously family owned/operated, everyone there seems to generally care about the customers and their experience. Warm and friendly people — Holy Christmas spirit!

This is a great find! They have a huge selection of fresh trees to cut down. Not just the little ones, but big trees. We went home with a 9 ½ footer! It’s now New Years Day and the tree is still green and drinking water every day. The family that owns and runs the tree farm is wonderful. They stayed late on a weekday night to help us out. It’s a perfect place to spend an afternoon with your family cutting down a Christmas tree.

I wish I could give this Christmas Tree farm 10 stars! I called Frosty Mountain by mistake. The woman who answered the phone was so genuinely warm and nice that I told my wife that we’re obligated to check it out, even through we had standing plans with 4 other families to go to another place. Fate dictated that the road leading to the other place was closed so we ended up at Frosty. While chasing my kids through endless rows of Douglas fir trees, we encountered a older gentleman working there who was also genuinely friendly and warm, as well as the woman taking my money, the guy who shook out and wrapped the tree, the lady who sold me popcorn, everybody. It was like everyone there had won the lottery and decided that working at the farm would be the happiest way to send their time. Come to think of it, if I win the lottery, I’m going to work there too. Although they have a ton of pine and fir trees that you can chop down, we opted for a very fresh Noble Fir that was pre cut. Prices seemed reasonable, but for how pleasant it was there, I would have paid more. The farm itself is fairly large situated at the end of a road with plenty of parking. Apparently they have a petting zoo(which was closed due to storm), free hay ride, gift shop, espresso truck, fresh popcorn, the lot. Excellent time for the whole family.

We stumbled upon this place least year in search of our Christmas tree and thank god we did. This place was amazing. I loved seeing the coffee truck there from Sebastopol just outside the barn where they have agreat little gift shop, free pop corn, and wagon rides. There was a lot of activities going on but nothing felt gimmicky or cheesy. It really had a sense of family, the holidays and Christmas. This place will forever be apart of our Christmas tree adventure.

Frosty Mountain, family owned and run, is not the biggest tree farm, but they have a bigger selection of species than most farms: Douglas Fir, Monterey Pine, Scotch Pine, Sequoia Redwood and Leyland Cypress. They also offer a selection of pre-cut Noble Fir. Additionally, they provide saws, twine and tying, tree shaking(to get the dried needles out), a cart to haul bigger trees, and HAYRIDES, all free of charge. If you buy one of their awesome tree stands(the simplest, best tree stands I’ve come across) they will drill a hole in the bottom of your tree(the stand uses a spike) free of charge as well. Of course, many tree farms have similar offerings, but what sets Frosty Mountain apart are their numerous other terrific attractions: Molly’s Hardcore coffee stand with organic espresso drinks. A variety of farm animals(they change every year) to entertain the kids. Mrs Klaus Kitchen serving hot, fresh popcorn and snacks. The Big Red Barn, filled with wreathes, mistletoe, and LOTS of really lovely, unique Christmas tree ornaments at extremely reasonable prices. Speaking of prices, I thought their trees were extremely reasonable as well. They charged by the foot, which is great if you want a smaller tree(we did), but even the bigger trees were still comparable to other farms, and certainly MUCH cheaper(and much more FUN) than buying off of a lot. All of this with incredibly friendly, helpful service that cant be beat! Frosty Mountain is our family’s holiday tradition, forever more.
