Not sure if it’s the drought, but the quality of trees here were limited and sparse at best. I’ll give the benefit of the doubt and blame the drought. But the prices are insane. $ 80 for a «decent» tree you cut yourself and $ 120 for the pre-cut trees. Wow.

I grew up in the urban sprawl of San Jose, and I always thought you got a Christmas tree at the mall parking lot. Imagine the joy and excitement I felt when I brought my 1 year old to this west county gem found in Sebastopol. My daughter loves the train ride, goat pen, and hayride. They have hot coffee for mom and dad and warm cider for the kids. Of course they also have a great selection of trees. For me, the experience that Reindeer Ridge gives my family at Christmas is priceless.

Visiting Reindeer Ridge every Christmas has become a fun family tradition. Everything from the trees, the train, the animals, the gift shop, the snacks and the wonderful family who runs the farm were amazing! Visiting Reindeer Ridge is a must and the ultimate Christmas experience! We look forward to visiting every year.

Every time I have visited this farm it has been a good experience, it is fun to enjoy the activities, visit the gift shop and yes, CUTDOWNTHETREE! My favorite part about this tree farm is the fact that I can bring my pet, who also enjoys coming out with us and join in the family fun! It is also a satisfying feeling to know you are supporting local farms and businesses. Reindeer Ridge has always been the top spot for me to go and get my tree and I plan on returning their for years to come. Do yourself a favor when the holiday season arrives, visit Reindeer Ridge, pick and cut the right tree for you! Almost forgot, you get a bag of fresh apples on the house!

We accidentally went to this farm instead of Frosty Ridge which is next door. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the trees(we can’t make a comparison with the farm next door since we never made it there). The trees were well shaped and they are irrigated in the summer so they are very full and green when they are ready for Christmas. I found the staff friendly and helpful. The prices are fairly high but that seems to be true for all of the tree farms.

If the farm put half of the effort into treating people with warmth as they do putting up signs this would be the place to be. The farm is small but feels almost claustrophobic with the number of people and gimmicks that are jammed into a small space. The small train for KIDSONLY is a bit unsettling when you pack your 3 year old to ride off with a random«train conductor». The trees are okay but they limit what you can cut to what they have priced out and tagged. The scene here is comparable to shopping Wal-Mart on Black Friday a bit hectic and disappointing.

Our family has been going to reindeer ridge for the past 3 years to chop down our tree and enjoy the rest of the holiday fun, such as their train ride(my 3 year old. loves and always wants to go back). But unfortunately last year my mother took my son back to the farm to ride the train before christmas was over(which we pay for each ride) and was yelled at by the older male owner. He very rudely told her that too many people have come«just to ride the train» and not to buy a tree and said the train wasn’t running. When we were there just a week earlier getting our tree, he was complaining that a 300 lb man rode the train and he had to replace the tires, so we waited for our ride… but felt uncomfortable none the less. But the fact that he felt the need to take his anger out on my mother has brought our family to the conclusion that our holiday tradition needs to change. Unfortunately we will no longer be giving our business to this once wonderful place to bring the kids and start our holiday fun. Very unfortunate.

You know the cute little burros and the train ride are not enough to make this THE place to go to for christmas trees. Each and every tree that we looked at this weekend was priced 49– medium and small trees, larger trees were even more expensive. I was really disappointed to drive all the way here and not find a tree within our price range. I honestly am not ok with paying 50 bucks for a christmas tree that will just dry up and end up on the curve a week after the holiday. I am also not someone who buys their tree in a parking lot, I have been going to chop down my own tree for YEARS and I particularly enjoy farms that have great snacks, stuff to do and reasonably priced trees that vary with sizing and type. I will not be returning, the other place right next door fit our needs a lot better.
