Hendricksen Naturlich Flooring

Well, it’s been months and the company has done nothing to redeem itself. We finally got my beautiful armoire moved upstairs, since it hadn’t been repaired by the time we moved in and they didn’t bring people who could move it when they returned the door. It turns out it is nowhere close to repaired. They didn’t just break the mirror in the door. They broke the door in such a way that it will not go back in. We only discovered that when we had it moved upstairs because they had never tried to replace the door. They also broke the lock no longer works. My husband has spent countless hours trying to fix the door with the help of our sons because bringing in someone who deals with irreplaceable antiques would cost us more than the amoire cost to begin with. I have looked at trying to replace it but it is irreplaceable. It is beautiful but it is currently useless and still a source of frustration. The owner of this company was so terribly rude… A bully… and I had hoped not to have to deal with him ever again. Honestly, I avoided even thinking about it for awhile. It looks like the only way I will have my beautiful antique armoire functional is to sue the owner of this company for the cost of bringing in a professional to fix it. I told them from the beginning that it might cost more to repair than the armoire was worth but they already had plans to have the glass replaced and gave me no choice in the matter. I told the owner not to do it unless he was sure of the outcome and he sounded very confident that he knew best. Clearly, he didn’t. He assured me I would be happy with the results and I am still very much not happy with the results, despite having tried to make the best of it. This is a very large antique that was very special to me so it is very frustrating that we are still dealing with it being broken. I would like to finish unpacking my things instead of living out of boxes.
When it was first broken, they only charged me for the carpet installation. They held off on charging me for the lesser expense of a light refinishing of the floors. But, even though the armoire was not put back together again, they demanded payment immediately upon replacing the mirror. We didn’t want to pay until we were sure the furniture was actually fixed but they threatened us with contractor leans if we didn’t pay up immediately. We went ahead and paid it to stop the bullying. We hoped the door would work but, of course, it didn’t. I am really upset with these people. They complained about the time it took them to deal with replacing the mirror as if it were a hardship for them to repair damaged they caused and they didn’t even repair the damage they caused. They left us to try to figure out how to deal with it ourselves. We have spent a lot of time trying to figure out the best way to go about it and it continues to be a source of frustration. I would write to them directly but they made it clear they didn’t care a long time ago. I suspect the only chance of them looking at anything I write is if I write it here. They even started denying being responsible for having to replace the mirror to begin with. As if they did us a favor by replacing antique mirror with new mirror. That is not how antiques are repaired. I did give it a chance to grow on me and if they hadn’t made this whole experience so painful, and if they had actually fixed the door, I might have been satisfied.
These people are completely irresponsible, manipulative bullies. I was heartbroken when this first happened but tried to hide it from the person who did the damage because I didn’t want to make him feel worse than I assumed he felt. Instead of apologies, I got excuses. I regret having been nice to these people. I regret having allowed them in my new home. They pretend to be nice long enough to get paid but these are not nice people.

I had somewhat of a marathon remodel and Rob, the owner really came through for me. I so appreciate when a company goes the extra mile, especially when they tell you not to worry and they will take care of you. It’s comforting to know there is once less thing to worry about during a stressful time like remodeling and moving.
I went into the showroom, chose my carpeting and Rob rearranged his schedule and came out to measure right away. They had two days to install three rooms AND had the added pressure of completing the job as my movers were coming in right behind them. They installed my beautiful wool carpeting in time, did a great job and somehow, ahead of schedule.
I’m planning on purchasing more wool carpeting from Rob to use in my living room on top of my laminate as Rob told me they can bind the edges of a remnant and make a beautiful and comfortable area rug.
Additionally, I notice they have bamboo chair mats which I am also going to purchase to protect my new beautiful carpeting.
I made the right choice with Hendricksen Naturlich Flooring and I couldn’t be happier!

I searched for a long time to find natural shades that were as high quality and durable as the custom natural shades which lasted for decades but finally needed replacement throughout our house. I was looking for different features for various rooms in the house like blackout liners, double shades (blackout rollers behind light filtering shades), sliding drapes, metal hardware, durable pulls, etc. I started at Home Depot, but the quality was terrible. I looked at Hunter Douglas, but they didn’t have the product I was looking for. I ordered samples from an online source, but they couldn’t even get the samples correct.
Finally, I visited the Hendricksen Naturlich Flooring store in Sebastopol and Sarah helped me find exactly what I wanted. She was patient with my specific requirements, thorough in her research, and paid careful attention to details like the color of blackout liners etc. Sarah personally came and measured all windows in the house and consulted on the most appropriate option for room type, window type, privacy needs, blackout for sleeping, etc. She arranged for installation and her communication was excellent. The shades were installed this week. The installation company that Sarah sent did an outstanding job.
I could not be happier with the sales and design consulting from Sarah, the installation by Rodger, the quality of the product, and the final result. The coverings throughout the house look great and they look like they will last for a long time.

I’ve always wanted a cork floor in my kitchen, so when we decided to remodel we went to Naturlich Flooring in Sebastopol. Sarah was so friendly and informative, answering all my questions and sending me home with many samples of cork flooring. My husband was skeptical never thinking of cork as a floor covering in a kitchen. We choose a cork, the owner Rob made sure all our requests were addressed. They pulled out the old floor, installed new underlayment, the snap together cork flooring and disposed of all the mess. This processes took 2 days. The first day 2 workers pulled out the old underlayment and staples, vacuuming up everything so there was no dust. The next day 1 worker installed the cork flooring. This was in 2009. Since then I’ve loved this floor so much. It’s soft to walk on and makes my kitchen so much more quiet.
Fast forward to 2011
We needed flooring for 2 bathrooms both had old outdated vinyl. We went to Hendriksen Naturlich and Sarah introduced us to Marmoleum, a sustainable product that comes in many colors. We picked Donkey Island a pattern that went with the marble vanity top, cherry wood cabinet and marble colored tiles. The same workers took 2 days to remove old vinyl, underlayment then install new underlayment, marmoleum and set toilets. We are very satisfied with our choice, it’s comfortable to walk on barefoot and always looks new.
We have NO complaints. this company is first rate. Helpful, friendly accommodating, honest and if there is a problem Rob takes care of it. He’s been in the business all these years because he will take care of your flooring today and tomorrow.
We will use this business in the future because we know who we are doing business with.
