Gualala Nursery and Trading Company

Ok, so we didn’t buy anything from Gualala Nursery… yet. We have a house in Sea Ranch and wanted to put a few plants in to brighten it up. Our intention was to stop off at Gualala nursery, find a few plants that are drought and deer tolerant and plant them that day.
Susan was incredibly helpful and nice… she walked us around the yard to show us the plants she thought would work (and introduce us to the cool nursery cat, Cleo) and we were getting a good feel for what we wanted. Then we noticed the sign up front (the one surrounded by the huge metal dinosaur sculptures… did I mention that this place is a bit funky, in a good way?) that said they also do landscape design/​installation.
So we asked Susan if she could just come to the house, take a look and transform it with her ideas. She pointed out that we should probably wait until rainy season to plant, but she offered to stop by the house and come up with a plan.
What a tremendous local resource to have… I am looking forward to hiring Gualala Nursery to put some color and life into our house.

Susan is amazing! Super accommodating! And when I need something and she doesn’t have it, I have always had it within the week! Great place to get excited about planting and great place to find truly unique gifts!!! I love this place!
