I have been been going to Joe Stubblefield, the owner, for over ten years and he is an artist and consummate professional. The salon is a peaceful sea of modern tranquility that whisks you away to another plane. Far beyond that Joe is a great listener and instinctively understands what you want and how to help you get «that» look. He always looks for the health of my hair as well as an amazing appearance. I have chatted with the other stylists and they have have always shown themselves to be war, inviting and caring people. I recommend this salon with the highest of ratings.

I read the great reviews for this place and was eager to get a hair cut here. I called to make an appointment and was greeted by a woman whose name was not made clear. My cell phone reception was cutting in and out, but finally, I came to a location where it was clear. The woman on the phone seemed to be irritated, which is slightly understandable due to the poor connection of the call, but it was no ones fault. The woman on the phone was unfriendly and her irritation carried on through the rest of our conversation. I asked for an approximate cost for a hair cut for a male from the particular person scheduled to cut my hair and she said that «everyone is different» with a tone that was still irritated and uninviting. I did not want to come to this establishment without knowing the cost I was supposed to pay. I told her I didn’t want come in only to pay a «crazy» price I was unaware of. She rudely responded «what’s crazy to you?» I came to find the price was 30 dollars, but why make me jump through loops and make a potential customer feel uncomfortable for asking a routine question. I ended up calling back immediately to cancel the appointment because I realized that I didn’t want to spend my money at an establishment that gave me a rude, unprofessional and uninviting first impression. I am sure these are very skilled stylists, but unfortunately my first interaction with the greeter was not a pleasant or particularly welcoming one.

I’ve been going to The Cutting Edge and seeing Rob for at least 16 years. Rob is a great stylist who really listens to what you want, and if there’s a problem, he’ll correct it without complaint. All the stylists there are really good, professional and attentive. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with any of them — you will be pleased.

After 20 years with the same stylist, I needed to find a new person. Amy Loeser at The Cutting Edge is terrific. I have the best cut I’ve had in decades. She convinced me to try a slightly darker shade of brown with highlights, and my friends say I’ve never looked so good. She’s an amazing find.

I just got my hair cut here for the first time with Chuck. I was ready for a change and had him take off about 12 inches. He chatted with me about what would look best and proceeded to give me the best haircut I’ve had in a while. I’ve never had so many complements.
He was also very nice and the price was totally reasonable.

Love this salon! Very modern and classy. All of the stylists here do wonderful work. I go to Stacey and she is very amazing! I love my hair more and more every time I walk out of the salon.

Stacy Carr at The Cutting Edge Salon in Sebastopol just gave me the best haircut I’ve had from someone else in over 30 years. Before becoming a Realtor (I’m ASK Realty) I was a licensed hairdresser, had my own salon, AND cut my own hair –until I injured my shoulder last year. I am very picky, know exactly what I like, and why a haircut doesn’t look right, if it doesn’t. I am absolutely pleased (could not have done better myself). I give Stacy 5 Stars. I also love the shop: it’s in a building that used to be a Big O’Tires many moons ago, so consequently has roll-​up doors all across the front, that can actually be opened in fine weather… which hopefully will be the case for their Grand Opening on Wednesday 5−7PM, April 29.

I have been getting my hair done by Joe for the last 16 years. He is an expert at color and style. He will always be honest and tell you what will and will not work for your hair. The new salon is great! There is plenty of parking out front. The inside is fabulous with an industrial contemporary feel. They also provide other beauty services at the salon, not just hair ladies. Check it out!

I love this salon. So happy Stacy has joined them. I would follow her wherever she goes. The salon is clean and very well organized, and relaxing at the same time. The stylists have fun with their clients and I look forward to going back. Stacy always knows what is best for me and I put myself completely in her hands. I get compliments every visit and always feel like she has pampered me tremendously. Plus, she knows I don’t want to have to fuss a lot and she gives me suggestions and styles that fit my personality and lifestyle. I love her and I am really happy with her choice of salon. All the stylists in salon are enthusiastic and professional and I always feel comfortable and pampered going there. The new location is absolutely beautiful! I’ve been going to The Cutting Edge for years. Joe Stubblefield is a solid guy and takes care of me, giving a good cut that looks good even as it grows out cuz I’m too busy to get back in! All the stylists are nice. They use good products, too. I love the new space on Healdsburg Rd. So easy to park! He now has room for an aesthetician and a masseuse, but I think that’s by appointment.
