Five stars for the taste, presentation, and ambiance. The female waiter was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and amiable. Her comeback to our question: «what is the meaning of life?» was«40 bucks and a baked potato – kurt vonnegut.»

This is a lovely restaurant in the Amara Resort, which is tucked away right off the main drag in Sedona. There is beautiful art and sculpture throughout the space. The table is set with very modern Villeroy & Bosch, crystal water glasses, artsy salt and pepper shakers. The food was absolutely delicious. Had the asian pear salad, which was lightly dressed, with the proper amount of crumbled blue cheese. The entrée was halibut, which was perfectly prepared, accompanied by mashed bliss potatoes and matchstick carrots in a light orange glaze. Too full for dessert, but they looked wonderful. The loss of one star was due to the inept waiter, who was unable to provide the answer to a single question, who stared at you blankly, said«I have no idea», and just walked away. He was really out of place in this wonderful establishment, and added a jarring, disconcerting note to an otherwise excellent meal.
