Delicious lunch decently priced with the most amazing view! Got there late so there was no wait and got a front row seat to the view. The Hawaiian chicken sandwich was delicious!

I was recommended to this place by a local and in the mood for steak. We made reservations and must have arrived before or after the dinner rush(after sunset) it was a bit chilly outside so we dined indoors and it was too dark out to enjoy the views that everyone mentioned. We did sit by the windows/glass walls and could see the lights in the city. Our server was very good. We both ordered the Clam Chowder soup which was very good and tasty and maybe the best chowder Ive had. I got the petite filet with the chefs potatoes which happened to be garlic mashed and a side of steamed string beans & broccoli and onion rings. The onion rings were good but random. I didnt remember seeing that as a side on the menu. The vegetables were tasteless and parts were cooked too soft and some areas too hard. my filet was good but not delicious or melt in your mouth. My boyfriend ordered a rib eye steak minus the toppings with tomato rice and didnt really like either of them. I tried his steak and didnt like the taste either. I had a jalapeño cilantro margarita which was very good. My summary: fix the menu

The line for Elote Café was waay too long and one person in our party was not willing to wait it out unlike me(we foodies will wait in line for good food no matter rain or shine!) so we walked to the plaza next door and decided to give this place a try. There was a Unilocal sticker on their door so I presumed it was a don’t place to dine. Darnit! As soon as I sat down and checked Unilocal for recommendations I saw that they only received 3 stars. Normally I wouldn’t mind but the avg entrée was $ 30, so of course I felt like it wasn’t a good choice. But we were already seated and the view WASSTUNNING so we sucked it up and decided we were paying for the view. We had: Crispy duck with drunken cherry sauce $ 31.50: This dish was pretty good. Flavors n execution were spot on. Recommend. Seafood tamale with lobster tail $ 30: This was the special of the day. The tamale was gummy and not very flavorful. The scallop n 2 shrimps that came with it were ok. Lobster tail was alright as well. I would not recommend this dish. I ended up giving away half of my dish to the rest of my party. That tells you how bad it was if I’m giving away seafood! Ribs $ 16.50: one of the more reasonably priced items. For some reason the ribs seemed too fatty. Didn’t enjoy it that much. Jalapeño cilantro margarita $ 11: Good cocktail. Spicy & tart. Ask for a blanket when it gets chilly outside. They had live music on a Friday night. That was cool.

Arrived at 11:25 for lunch and the door was locked with the sign saying they opened at 11:30. Walked around and came back at 11:40. Door still locked. Had a nice lunch at Heartline, our new after church restaurant.

Wonderful view! Great food. The Cranberry Chicken was so yummy. There was so much food my husband and I shared it and we had plenty of food for each of us. It came with a grilled squash which was perfectly cooked and very tasty. The staff was very friendly and even offered me a blanket when the sun went down and it cooled off on the deck. If you want to watch the sun set on the beautiful Red Rocks in Sadona do it here with a nice glass of wine or beer. But call ahead for reservations to make sure you get a seat.

Spectacular views, service and food. Cesar was our server and he was professional, knowledgable, courteous and anticipated our needs. My sis is vegan and they promptly gave us vegan options, she picked the pasta with veggies and a great marinara. The pastry portobello mushroom entrée was excellent and very filling. The crane brûlée was great as well. Leftovers were good Lovely way to end our trip to Sedona! The Chef and Manager are super friendly and fun as well!

This restaurant is really a three-star restaurant with solid food and friendly service. However, it gets the extra star for the view. Definitely sit on the patio out back and take in the red rocks of Sedona. And if you are someone who likes hip places, this won’t be your place. Mostly older folks and families, but that does not bother me at all.

I was pretty happy and full leaving this restaurant. It took about 8 minutes to have someone come over but when he did he was very pleasant and professional. I had the clam chowder and finished it all… wings for appetizers was very yummy with the perfect amount of spice! For dinner I had the lobster and was very happy with it. The only thing negative was when our friends burger had bacon and he asked for none due to a pork allergy. Well they said they would make a new one but brought the same one out three minutes later… he should of waited at least 5 min. ;) My friend ate it anyway and said it was very good. Nice atmosphere but they should have heaters on the balcony… beautiful location. All in all I had a good experience here and will be back!

Wow. Awful. For the price the food was simply sad. My salad tasted of nothing but anchovies… My waiter who cleared an almost untouched salad did not inquire as to why it hadn’t been eaten. Main course, filet was fine but vegetables were uncooked and my boyfriends«twice backed potato» was more in line with something you would get at a nursing home. Bottom line service and food were beyond sub par, with so many great choices in Sedona just bypass this place!!!

I came to Shugrues because I heard that the view was nice. To be honest, it is probably one of the nicest views in Sedona. Our waiter was also very nice and provided good service. Yet, the real problem with this restaurant is not the view or the service, but the food that is downright awful. I ordered Lobster Mac and Cheese. When the food came to me, the lobster nuggets were fried a nice golden brown, but the lobster was still raw on the inside. The macaroni and cheese tasted like something out of a Kraft mac and cheese box. The lobster was sent back, but when the waiter brought my lobster back to me, it came back burned and overcooked. Although the waiter threw in some free dessert for our troubles, the bottom line is that the food just tastes mediocre. I would recommend it for the view, but not the food. Recommendation: No offense, but in my opinion the entire lobster mac and cheese entrée should be redone. Instead of throwing fresh cheddar on the dish, try baking the mac and cheese. Take out the jalepenos and throw in some onions, green onions, bell peppers, celery, creole seasoning(tony chacheres), paprika, and thyme sautéed together and then baked with the mac and cheese and I guarantee a dish that is to die for. I would also recommend not frying the lobster, but sautéing it and baking it with the rest of the dish. I would also recommend boiling the pasta in a seafood stock so that the seafood seasoning flavors the entire dish. Honestly the dish did not taste like a labor of love, but something thrown together! Again, the service is good and the view is awesome, but the food needs some work. My wife ordered a shrimp pasta dish and it tasted mediocre too.

We were recommended to go to this restaurant by the hotel concierge. They do have a gorgeous view but the ambiance is very dated. At the entrance there is a white love seat with a tablecloth tucked into the seat so that anyone waiting(not sure if it is ever used) has to sit on the tablecloth. A small table with plants across from the love seat is also covered by a white tablecloth but this one is dirty at the bottom from so many people stepping on the bottom of it. Waitress came to take our order and even though there was plenty of room for her to stand next to the table she stood behind me so that I had to fully turn around to hear the specials and ask our questions. The menu is dated, wine list uninspired and the food was average at best. I had the ribs. My daughter had crab legs. The potato offered that evening was garlic mashed potatoes. I couldn’t believe it when instant potatoes appeared on our plates! All in all, a very disappointing meal.

We were very pleased with our experience here. The scenery is quite nice, though it was too cold to enjoy their nice patio. The seafood was prepared to our liking and it tasted quite good. But, often, what makes a restaurant experience is not the food, rather it’s the personal touch of its owners and/or chefs. And that’s what made the evening even more delightful. Chef Mullins was nice enough to say he’ll on the way out, asked us about the experience, and gave us a each cobbler to take with us. He didn’t have to do that — we were satisfied and out the door. But the gesture went a long way and it capped off a great evening. Kudos to the chef.

I came here a few months ago with family. This is an expensive restaurant although most of the people are very casually dressed. Maybe in Sedona people dress that way? Not sure. Anyhow, the service was good and the salmon was tasty, not sure why they charge so much. My brother talked the whole way through about all his travels. I was glad when the night was over as he gave me a headache.(Not the restaurant’s fault).

A must-visit in Sedona. I had the salmon in puff pastry and it was truly just so good. Service was wonderful and the ambiance was unbeatable. I realize that’s a lot of glowing terminology but honestly I mean it. It was really just so very good. Each time I pop into Sedona I dine here, and that is a tradition I will most assuredly continue. If in Sedona you MUST try.

Great experience-stopped for late lunch after our first choice was closed. Really glad ’cause this is a great restaurant. Wife had grilled salmon hot off the grill served with cabbage garnished with goat cheese. I had lobster mac & cheese which had large chunks of lobster & was delightful. Noticed another diner enjoying onion rings & just had to have some-really yummy & done to perfection(the onion was tender & didn’t pull out of the coating). Marvelous view of the red rocks. Server was excellent & very affable. Also-pet friendly. Nice deck for doggies.

Arrived about 5:30 and the view was magnificent. Definitely want to get there before the sun sets. I was dining alone and they treated me very well. Excellent service and very geneous portions. I had the Petite Filet rare and it was cooked perfect and good quality. Comes salad, bread, veg, starch, etc. I would return and I highly recommend

Great food. Great view. Great service. We sat on the patio for sunset. They brought us blankets as it got cold. I had blackened halibut with a spinach salad. Both were excellent. The waitress and busser were both attentive. I would come back!
