Let’s see… We waited several minutes for a waitress to approach our table, despite the emptiness of the restaurant at 7:45 on a Thursday night. Waiting for food was also painfully long, especially given the lack of clientele. Once we did order, the waitress had to come back to our table multiple times to inform us they were either out of something or to clarify our order. Half of us liked our food, the other half felt meh about it. Convenient location if you’re staying at Los Abrigados, but otherwise I’d say skip it.

Stopped to grab a bite after hike in flagstaff. Ordered bacon cheeseburger and salad… just hit the spot. Burger was cooked medium and very juicy and flavorful. Definitely would visit again and try other things on menu.

My husband and I had a difficult time locating places to eat that allowed dogs but this place had a dog friendly patio, yay! I went inside to ask the hostess to verify that they still allowed dogs on their patio and she said they did. I asked her for a table for myself and my husband. She told me to head around to the side to get to the patio and have a seat. We followed her instructions and waited, and waited, and waited. No one ever came out! Irritated that the place wasn’t busy(only 3 tables out of many occupied inside) we left and went elsewhere. I normally would have walked inside to make sure they didn’t forget about us but the patio was disgusting and the smell wafting from the side of the building was atrocious.

Delicious pretzel board. First time eating a dry aged steak– flavorful, tender, definitely the right choice. Companion”s rib eye was great, too. We both ordered medium-rare, and both were served at perfect temperature. Staff was friendly, accommodating, and attentive without hovering.

My hubby and I are big fans of Spoke and Wheel! We often stay at the resort and we are slowly but surely eliminating other restaurants from our regular routine as each time we eat at Spoke and Wheel it is a better experience than the others on our rotation!!! We spent two nights at Los Abrigatos(the resort that shares common grounds with Spoke and Wheel). We ate at Spoke and Wheel BOTH nights! Our first night was such a great experience that we chose to eat there the second night too! Our server Chelsey was on top of it all and was very personable and pleasant! To top it all off, Paul was around as a back up to take care of any little needs as Chelsey was busy but still very attentive!!! We felt like royalty! This place continues to wow us with good food, good service and a great value! Oh, and the ambience is wonderful! We especially like the outdoor patio! But there is also a nice bar and even a pool table! Enjoy!

It was very good. I had the Rib Eye Steak. The side of mushrooms were exceptional! If that were an entrée on their own, that’s what I would order next time around. Our server — with a German accent, was exceptional as well. We had a very tasty meal in a nice environment.

Stayed at Los Abrigados for a weekend getaway and absolutely loved this restaurant! Fun patio atmosphere, the service was great, and the food was delicious! Happy hour till 6 is the best time to go! We got the chicken nachos and split the Mediterranean pizza and the drinks and dessert were great too! Highly recommend and would definitely go back!

The dining area for this restaurant is actually the foyer of a hotel. It has all the charm one would expect for its location. Service was amateur, beers on tap were tapped out. Food took forever to be served, almost as if they were surprised someone would want dinner at 7:00 pm. The $ 14 burger flavored with«umami dust» was overcooked, presented poorly and less flavorful than a decent fast food burger. Uptown Sedona is charming to look at and surrounded by world class scenery. Just beneath that veneer lie cheesy gift shops, time-share sales fronts and several barely-passing restaurants. Spoke and Wheel fits right in.

We come to the Spoke & Wheel Tavern every time we’re here. Great place to eat, drink and be merry! The chicken fingers are the best.

Great place to go for happy hour. The prickley pear drinks are delicious and the table made guac hits the spot. The service was average, but the atmosphere wasn’t worth returning for another meal.

Disappointing. Two things were good: dog friendly patio and really good fries. Everything else was not so good. Our group(2 adults and 3 kids) ordered burgers. I told our server that I wanted them«juicy but not fleshy, so medium or medium well?»(which can vary from place to place so I always describe) She said, «Okay, medium well.» We waited A LONG time for the food and when it came out, the burgers were black, crispy and dry. My husband was starving so he ate his but the kids and I did not want them. Our server seemed pretty put off when I told her that they seemed very over-done. SHE asked ME what I wanted to do. When I told her that we wouldn’t eat the black ones, she said that they could re-make them but it would be at least 20 minutes. No thanks. check, please. Also, if you order the pizza from the kids menu, it’s a flour tortilla, covered with cheese and red sauce on the side. Where I come from they call that a quesadilla, NOT pizza. Bad food. Bad service. Bad memory. Never again.

Slooooooooow service and the worst tacos I’ve ever had. It’s The first time I’ve sent something back. Ironically, they have the absolute best french fries. So go if you like fries and have a few hours to wait for your food.

Horrible food, service and no compensation for damages. Waiter dropped a glass of water on my phone breaking the glass. The medium meat came out rear… The food took a long time to come out! We are in town on business and this was the only place that had some large tvs to watch the game… Avoid this place!!!

Service was phenomenal! Marianne was our server and she made our experience so fun! Very attentive and so sweet. Food was savory and the perfect portion size. Even the salad was abnormally delicious. Yes. Salad.

My best friend and I were up here for a girl’s weekend getaway. Jon, the bartender, was very friendly and personable. He had a lot of great information about the history of places we were visiting for the weekend. Jon also recommended some great hikes for us to try out in the future! Bloody Mary’s were delicious! Thanks for the great holiday music haha!!!

1 star for the service alone, it’s like she didn’t want us to try the food. Coming from out of town, we were excited to find that this 4 star restaurant was included for the first day of Sedona Restaurant Week. Greeted with menus we asked if they were participating, she said yes, I asked for menus, she said«Ya, up front» and left. My father wanted to leave, but I decided to see what they have. Went up front, our server showed us a card, no menu – just the same card that brought us to the restaurant. She found me and said she didn’t know there was a special menu, that her manager was working on it at that time. Few minutes have passed and she came to our table to ask if we were ready to order. No, still waiting for the menu. «Oh.» She left again and at that point, so did we.

This was definitely one of those places where I was deceived by the overall high Unilocal ratings to try as an out-of-towner. For a group of 5 adults and 2 kids, we were given an estimated wait time of 30 minutes arriving around 6:00 p.m. on a Friday night. Not a bad wait time but it was unfortunate we just missed happy hour. Seems like the type of place that thrives during happy hour. By the time we got seated and were walked through, it was clearly a slow day with plenty of tables. But this isn’t where you lose stars, Spoke and Wheel Tavern. The rave reviews for great service I read about fell short for our table. The wait time for the food is what killed it for me. We ordered as soon as we were seated. We did have 30 minutes to look over the menu while waiting for a table. At almost 45 minutes later, we finally got our food. For a table with only five entrees and one appetizer ordered, an establishment should know how to keep food warm if you are waiting to bring out all the food at once. As a self-proclaimed burger aficionado, my Bacon Cheeseburger was not up to par. In addition to being barely warm and the bun overly toasted, the presentation was awful and was cut in ¾ and ¼ «halves.» How do you eat a burger like that?! The only saving grace for my meal were the fries and dill pickle spear it came with. The Fish and Chips were served with potato chips instead of fries, but lacked this description on the menu. The Fried Oysters came with fried cauliflower and fried lemon slices. A decent appetizer. The wait staff was attentive. There was already water on the table. And the space seems great to watch a game with plenty of tvs lining the walls. I’m sure it could’ve been a better experience, I just wasn’t impressed this time around.

Honestly probably 3.5 stars — good but not great, and it was slightly expensive for the results. Not a bad price point for the area, though. You have to enter from the side with the fountain, through the reception area. Service was great, though admittedly it wasn’t crowded while we were there. I really enjoyed the cocktail list — it was hard choosing. With more time or another designated driver I would have definitely sample more than one, but as it was I’m recommending their Paloma. Tacos came with way more good stuff to fill them than could ever fit in those tortillas. Which is an okay problem to have. Points for corn, small tortillas.
