After a day of golf we went to soundbites with friends. food and service were awesome. We had the Arizona clam and shrimp chowder that was delicious and hearty. We also had a Pomme Bay breeze that was great. The staff was friendly and very helpful and the best views in Sedona.

Spent the day hiking with three friends. Headed to Sound Bites on the recommendation of a couple we met earlier in the day. They said the Red Rock views were great. We were looking for spots to have a dinner for six later in the week. We got to Sound Bites just before 4 p.m. It was happy hour so we decided to have a drink or two and some appetizers. The restaurant was dead, maybe 10 patrons inside. We told the host we were going to have apps and some drinks and were told that we could not go out on the patio or sit near the view.(The bar is close to the entrance door, quite a distance from the Windows.). That area is for dinner only. WHAT? There was no one in the restaurant and we would only have been there for less than an hour. I doubt the place would have filled up on a Thursday before 5 p.m. Needless to say, we left without ordering and plan to have our dinner elsewhere. Never returning to Sound Bites… way too many other great restaurants in Sedona.

Me and a friend went in on a Friday afternoon at 3pm and it was dead! Must of been because of the rainy and snowy weather and that this is a night time scene. Regardless, we were hungry and decided to stay. Our server was really nice! She answered all of our questions and brought us everything we needed. We both ordered the black and blue burger. Let me just say, it was AWESOME! The burger was thick and juicy on ciabatta bread with bacon. The toppings(lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickle spear) were all on the side. I ordered French fries with it and OMG they were addicting! They were sooooo crispy! The pickle was crunchy too The only downside– the bathrooms are sketchy and gross. I felt very uncomfortable going into them. They should fix them up. Other than that, I’d definitely come back!

Our servers were terrific – they were prompt, accommodating and very sweet. We really enjoyed the atmosphere at Sound Bites. We were seated in front of a window that overlooked the outdoor patio and even though we were partitioned off from the other side of the dining room by a curtain reminiscent of what you would see dividing First Class airplane sections, we could still hear Esteban playing in the background. I swear I heard him see something about«losing an eye»?? Anyway – it was a very mellow set that he and his string player were involved in – we heard«Eleanor Rigby» and other thoughtful Beatle’s songs. Three stars for the food. It’s a very expensive place and I didn’t feel the price was worth it. I ordered the Pasta Primavera and added chicken to it. My partner went for the burger/fries. We both started with a so-so minestrone. I think the hint of South Western seasoning threw me off and there were too many Navy White beans. The sauce on the pasta had nothing special about it and the 4 large pieces of broccoli that sat on it kind of looked and tasted out of place. The bartender only had one person sitting at the bar and there was no talking between them – it felt a little tense. Our ordered drinks were good but how can you mess up a vodka martini without vermouth? Lemon twist added.

Came here for Esteban’s Christmas Dinner Special. Made reservations online ahead of time for 3 in the VIP section. When we arrived we were greatly nicely and taken back to the private event area. The event area was decorated very beautifully and we got wonderful seats. The servers were very kind and professional. I had a prosecco(of course) but the drink menu looked extensive. Our first course was shrimp appetizers(which I can’t eat) so I can’t say from experience how they were but it looked like my dad enjoyed mine and his. Second plate was a nice salad that had wonderful flavor and very fresh. The rest of our meal was buffet style. I enjoyed the potatoes and surprisingly the sweet potatoes which had a tang of spicy combined with the natural sweet. The green beans were exceptional and the steak was amazing. Overall the meal was extremely delicious. Little did I know dessert was coming up! I cannot say what the dessert was called because I’ve never had anything like it but it was extraordinary. It had a hard orange top layer with crème in the middle chocolate delight on the bottom. SOGOOD! The show was awesome. I had never seen Esteban or his daughter preform before but it was wonderful. I loved the entire group. I was in awe with the talent and performance displayed. To finish it off we got chocolate covered strawberries as we payed our final bill! Thank you Sound Bite for an entertaining and special night!

Okay it was Christmas day– so That is why I gave it one extra star. For Jesus and the shepards. No happy hour yet we arrived during«happy hour» and were charges stupid prices for a Cheese plate that would have even left the wise men embarrassed. When my poor mom asked for a heated up cranberry juice they looked at her like she had 5 heads.(she only has 4) The bar while waiting for a table was horrible and nobody even acknowledges us and I was in full santa attire– and I was a cute santa FYI. Seriously guys– work on just being nice. start there. Horrible food and service. Brought out the grinch in me. Bah humbug. NOT worth it.

Sound Bites, the first and only place I have ever sent a drink back because it was made so poorly.(Note: Do not order a Manhattan lest you want to be choked on an entire glass of sweet vermouth.) The food was decent though even if the cover band playing that particular night was… uh, questionable in that it seemed liked bad karaōke coming from the back room. We had the bacon and shrimp flatbread and the sliders which were both prepared well. Come for the view, stay for a bite, order a drink carefully, and leave before the band gets started.

I didn’t actually make it into Sound Bites for a pre-purchased show but what in am reviewing is the«AMAZING» customer service I received relating to a pre-purchased dinner & show. What happened was the afternoon of the show my wife feel ill(ER room ill). We could not make the show and by the time we got out of the ER it was only an hour or so before the show. I called NOTEXPECTING any sympathy but thought I’d still ask about cancelling and requesting a refund for this $ 126 total pre-order. I fully expected to hear that with such short notice that a full refund could not be provided let alone any refund at all but was worth asking. To my surprise, Sound Bites management agreed to a full refund even with only an hours’ notice. Days later after follow-up, I received that full refund credit. Again, I can’t speak to the ambiance, to the food, to the shows or anything at all about Sound Bites Grill since I have not made it inside the grill. However, what I can say is that in my experience, ‘HOW A COMPANYTREATSITS’ CUSTOMERSSPEAKSVOLUMES&ISNORMALLYREFLECTIVEASTOHOWTHERESTOFITS’ ORGANIZATIONRUNS’. With such ASTOUNDING Customer Service experienced, I am definitely looking forward to rescheduling a trip back to Sedona and my first planned stop will be to Sound Bites Brill. Whenever the word ‘grill’ is in the name of a restaurant I should know better as a vegatarian to not go… Not many options whatsoever for dietary restricted persons. With that being said the Beet salad was what I went with and it wasn’t half bad… Make sure to get extra pistachios they make the salad. The Old fashion was incredibly sweet so watch out for that if thats your cocktail choice.

If I could, this place would get negative 5 stars! Do your self a favor and don’t dine here if you are brining a baby or toddler… or simply want terrible service. I made a reservation for 11:30am. We got to the restaurant a little early hoping to get seated earlier but didn’t realize they only open at 11:30am. So we went to Starbucks next door to get a coffee. At 11:30am we headed over to the restaurant and immediately told that we could not bring our coffees into the restaurant. The hostess took our coffees and held it on a side table.(We don’t make it a habit of bringing outside drinks to other establishments but I never encountered a situation where our drinks were taken away.) We understood it wasn’t proper etiquette and proceeded to our table. It was time to feed our 12 month baby after we placing our order. We pulled out baby food(at this age she is still learning how to eat)… precut bananas and a prepackaged baby food pouch. Our server immediately came back and told us we were NOTALLOWED to feed our BABY outside FOOD because there were strict health codes. I was floored! We immediately cancelled our order and left the restaurant. The server did sympathize with us and mentioned it was the manager who was requesting this. We have dinned at Michelin rated restaurants with my baby and never had an issue with baby food!

We went to Sound Bites last night to watch a live guitar show and were thoroughly entertained. The sign originally advertised the covers $ 15 per person; however, when we got in to the hostess podium, we were told it would be $ 20 per person. This caught us off guard at first, but in hindsight, it was well worth it since we were right in front of the stage. I would definitely point out that this is an upscale restaurant/venue and the prices reflect it as such, but the drinks and food were all incredible. Our server was extremely attentive and catered to all our needs and the food was all fresh and brought to us in a very timely fashion. I would highly recommend this place especially during show nights to any couples, or groups looking for entertainment and great food in a fun atmosphere.

It was 8pm on a Saturday night, we walked in and there were no spots at the bar, but an open high top. I asked the hostess for chairs and she said they didn’t have any it was meant for standing. Ironic since the table next to them had two chairs. Then that table left and gave it to us to sit, here is where is got weird. The hostess came over and said that they would send a server over. I said we are just ordering drinks we can do it from the bar, they said no they’d get a server. Well lets just say, that never happened, so we waited and then another server was talking to a patron at the bar and mentioned they didn’t have servers for our table. Moving on to bar, bartender was fine, the music we could hear was great, but let’s just say, never again Sound Bites, there may not be a lot of places in Sedona, but I can find one better than this…

They are lucky they have a good view. I noticed ” floaties«in my kilt lifter, informed our waiter… waiter said dang that’s not normal might be near the end of the keg, let me check. Keg was fine and nothing more was done. My beer wasn’t comped and I wasn’t even asked if I wanted a new one without partials. We will never spend a dime here again, and we used to three to four times a year. Save your money and go to L’Auberge, they’ll treat you right with a full bar tvs and fine dining.

The only thing better than the view is the ribs! Made from owner Michele Moore’s family recipe, we had a meal that will keep us coming back. Sunset is a great time to go.

Things I liked: 1) The view. Be sure to go when there is still light outside! 2) The service. Our waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. 3) Everyone enjoyed their food! The only thing we didn’t like was the side of broccoli–(like it was straight up a head of broccoli– if they had just cut it into smaller pieces it would have been fine). I got the mac and cheese, which was interesting but very tasty. The ribs, braised riblets, and grilled salmon were all delicious. 4) There was a live music performance happening in a different area of the restaurant. If I go back, I’d love to check it out. Things I didn’t like: 1) we went at night so it was a little chilly and none of us had sweaters. I wish they had those fire/warming lamps. 2) I wish there were more menu options.

Pros: –Great view –Friendly hostess, food runners, and bussers –I really liked the food; I got the lettuce wraps which came as a build your own wrap with lettuce, sprouts, carrots, cucumbers, grilled teriyaki chicken, a peanut sauce and another sauce don’t know what it was but it was tangy, also got the chili cheese fries, sweet potato fries, chili, corn bread croutons, cheese, and jalapeños. Never had chili cheese fries with sweet potatoes but it was very good. –Fancy place Cons: –While the hostess and others were nice and friendly our server seemed like kind of a bitch to be honest, not friendly, no smile, almost seemed like we were just a bother. Waters weren’t refilled until we asked. Didn’t really see much of her at all and at what seems to be a «higher scale» restaurant, the service was definitely lacking, but by other reviews this most be THEIR«normal». –You can only order like maybe 7 – 8 items before 5, you can’t order anything off the regular menu until after then, which to me is odd because being that this place has such a good view I’d think they would be busy during the day, which between 4:30 to maybe 5:30 there was only one other table in the restaurant. –I’d say very overpriced, the portions are large but for the ingredients I’d still say overpriced. My lettuce wrap was, I don’t remember, either 13 or 15 dollars and the chili cheese fries were 9 dollars. If they would get some more professional servers and either have the menu all day or a larger«lunch menu», and maybe adjust the prices down a little bit I think this place would be a great success.

The view is better than the food. The menu is short and doesn’t have much variety. Service was ok. Not sure if a second visit is in my future. Although the hummus and the prickly pear margaritas were pretty good.

This place has some great views, good music, but that’s about where the good parts about it end. We ordered what sounded like a lovely cheese platter to start our meal. Unfortunately after waiting for a while and not even seeing our waitress, she informed us our appetizer was accidentally delivered to another table. Mistakes happen, but what really rubbed me the wrong way was that they didn’t put any effort into rectifying the situation. They could have offered us something, not that we need freebies, but it at least shows that you care enough to do something. We got nothing except an «oops our bad» and continued on with our meal. When we received our food, it turned out to be pretty cold. I ordered fries and my girlfriend ordered mashed potatoes, and both of those items were very cold. They ended up offering us three dollars off for the cold entrees, but I didn’t feel like this made up for the bad experience. I know we aren’t alone because a family of four left food on the table and took off. I didn’t hear the reason why, but I assume they had a similarly unpleasant experience here. This is a great place if you want a view and maybe some wine, but absolutely don’t get anything they prepare. It won’t turn out well and the server won’t work to make the situation better.

I give it a 3 for the view & drinks… Since you can’t mess up that. I’m not a picky eater nor am I the one to send back my food. But my steak was THAT bad so I did. Very bland and chewy, like my 13 year old sister was cooking for the first time. No flavor what so every, like your cooking for a convalescent home… DO come for the live music, patio view & drinks.
