Very fancy! We looked for a place to eat breakfast and we did not expect this! Their kids menu didn’t much options but their dollar pancakes were great for the kids. It may not have much, but for A kids menu it was fine. I had the Egg Benni. Again, it was simple but tasty. This place has nice decorations and simple food. It is very unique and a very good place if you just want to have a nice breakfast that isn’t much. I will give it 4 stars

My family family got eggs Benny delicious! Biscuits and gravy to die for ! Kids dollar pancakes yummy ! And a side of hash-browns and sausage links scrumptious! We loved this place and will definitely come back. Not sure why the ratings are 3 ½ stars because it should be 5.

Nice place and atmosphere, although a bit cramped. Food was good with fast service, but a tad pricey.

Fair overall. came in from a backpacking trip. Got into the restaurant just before the late b-fast rush. Service was ok. took a while to get a refill on coffee. Food came out after it sat in the window. my friends eggs Benedict had a hollandaise crust. I got bisquits and gravy. Good gravy and eggs… but should have been called bisquit and gravy. Home fries were packaged and deep fried. Probably won’t be back.

While we were checking out the shops in downtown Sedona we stopped in here for lunch. We were waited on fairly quickly. I had the oak creek chicken salad it was okay. I would have liked a little more flavor. But the location is super convenient.

This was an unexpected gem. We went in on a whim and were blown away by the food. It is obvious that whoever prepared our food had talent and took pride in what they served.

My wife and I have been visiting Sedona for the past couple of years. We have a background with restaurants and dont mind spend the money for good food and a good experience. We also know what to look for. We belive that if a restaurant is to succeed there needs to be some brutal honesty. When we walked in we were pleased with the décor and all seemed very nice, thats a star. We were seated quickly, thats a star. When we reviewed the menu it seemed pricey. 3.50 for a cup of coffee. Good news it was good, but no star for the price. Could have gone to Starbucks for good and less expensive coffee, no star. We started to order and wanted to substitute our hashbrowns for toast. Waitress said No Substitions. Surprised we went ahead and ordered the omelet. For the money and the arrogance of no substitions I was expecting something more. Omelet was small, dry, and overcooked. The hashbrowns that we didn’t want were cold. Very disappointed. The waitress stopped by and asked how everything was. I asked her if she really wanted to know? She said yes. So I explained all above. She came back and said she would give 10% off. We will not come back or recommend this restaurant. They dont get it.

Mediocre. I had the Taco Rojo beef tacos. 2 small street-size tacos and a side(fries or cole slaw) for $ 14 isn’t a great deal even in Sedona. The taco filling was lukewarm and the liquid wasn’t drained making them very soupy. They screamed«reheated in microwave.» It tasted pretty good so there is that. Cole slaw was a little better but not anything special. Décor is nice and service was very good.

Their signature burger was delicious. My friends enjoyed their dishes too but I don’t remember what they got. Our server wasn’t very good though — we had to keep asking for things and she seemed really unhappy in general. I would go back though.

Any self-respecting Woodstocker has to visit Sedona while in AZ — it is, after all, kind of the Mothership. So I was not surprised to find a good veggie burger. I WAS surprised that it was a reddish beet and bean burger that was so tasty and moist it knocked my socks off(not literally, of course, it was a bit cold outside). Accompanied by sweet potato fries, this was one terrific lunch. Companion wasn’t quite so thrilled with his meal, but he soothed his shattered nerves with frozen cheesecake on a stick rolled in chocolate and peanuts(seriously.) at some ice cream shop nearby. I felt a whole lot better by the end of the day than he did.

I’m pretty disappointed in this place, and it’s sad because I think they have a lot of potential! Just the location alone should have this place thriving with business! Just the opposite for HP Café, unfortunately. When we first walked in, the restaurant was dead. At 12 o clock on a Saturday afternoon, you would expect differently. We probably should have taken this as a clue and just spent our money elsewhere, but we are fairly hopeful people and we like to give businesses the benefit of the doubt, especially local ones! I don’t eat dairy, so the best option for me was a salad. I had the orange beet salad and the only thing worth bragging about was the fresh arugula. The rest of the salad was swimming with huge chunks of beets that really overpowered the dish. I like beets, but wow! A little too much. My fiancée had the classic burger and there was nothing special about it. The sweet potato fries were luke warm and not fresh. Both dishes were extremely overpriced considering how mediocre they were. To top it off, our server was not at all knowledgeable of the menu items. I asked if the salad had dairy and she said«I don’t think so, probably not.» It wasn’t until I stopped the hostess walking by and asked her for reassurance did our server actually check with the cook. Turns out, the dressing did have dairy in it. And when she brought out the salad, there were big clumps of goat cheese in it(not in the salad description on the menu, by the way) and she said«I know you said no dairy but I wasn’t sure about goat cheese.» Why wouldn’t she just ask me? I picked it all out myself. I am pretty annoyed by this point. Even the water was inedible, in our opinion. It tasted like dirty tap water with a strong metallic aftertaste. Good thing we brought bottled water in our backpack. When she gave us the check, she asked how the food was, to which our reply was«eh it was ok.» There was no follow up, or concern from her in regards to our disappointment. Guess she’s used to hearing that about the food. Anyway, the place is quiet and if you’re not particular about your food, or about being overcharged, it’s a nice place to stop. We won’t be returning.

We stopped in here for a late lunch on Sunday after driving in to town… before we headed up to our lodge for the night. They were closing in about an hour, so it wasn’t super crowded at all. The burger we shared was absolutely delicious… but I can’t find it on their lunch menu online. It was similar to the HP Signature Burger, but it had prickly pickled jalapenos and the aioli was absolutely fantastic! It’s been a two weeks and I have craved it at least 3 or 4 times since. Mmmmmmmm. Their shoestring fries were perfectly crispy too! We also enjoyed a bottled Nut Brown Ale they had on hand as well and that was tasty. They had each table nicely decorated for the holiday and the heater was on since it was freezing(it had snowed about 3″ the night before we arrived). Definitely made your way into this café as it was the most coziest and inviting place to dine outside of the super touristy spots along this same road.

We loved this restaurant, so I will start off with the positives. The food is absolutely delicious!!! I came here with my husband and 2 kids(teenagers). We ordered the burgers, HP Signature Burger and Blue Cheese Burger. The sides we ordered were cole slaw and french fries. We also started off with a stack of onion rings. These came with a yummy dipping sauce. The burgers had a wonderful taste to them and really they didn’t need any condiments with them. However, the things the burgers had in them were very tasty. The décor of the restaurant is simply elegant for this little café. We especially love the bathroom at the front of the restaurant that looks like a hidden room as the door blends into the wall. It looks like a secret door. The place was nice and clean, not a lot of tables. I would guess the restaurant can’t seat more than 75 people, as the place is fairly small. We came on Christmas Day and this one of the few places in town that were opened for eating. The Chevron gas station does not count. We waited about 40 minutes to be seated. The place was packed and there was a long wait list. We were super hungry, so we just waited. The front area of the store is really, really small, so we were all jammed in there. There was an outdoor patio dining area and they had a torch heat lamp, but it was pretty nippy outside. We opted to wait for a seat because we also didn’t want to chance anyone smoking outside. They could have an intercom system just outside their café so people can hear when their number is called or some better way to let people know their table is ready. That was the biggest negative. Prices were a bit much, especially at $ 15/burger, but they are big. Most expensive burgers we’ve eaten. Our service was reasonable. Our waitress forgot a few times different things we wanted and had to be reminded. It was Christmas and the place was really busy, so I’ll give her that. When we’re in Sedona again, we’ll come back when it’s not a holiday and see how this place fairs. But it’s worth coming to, at least for us, again.

What a pleasant surprise this place was. The décor was somewhat upscale and I just loved the masks on the wall. We stopped in for breakfast before a hike and wanted to fuel up. That’s just what we did. I had Los Huevos de Castros, two fried corn tortillas with beans between, covered with two over easy eggs and green chile sauce. I wanted something different than the usual eggs and toast, and I got it. It was just delicious. The side of potatoes was absolutely the best I ever had, perfectly crisped and tasty. I’m jonesing for this meal all over again. My boyfriend had the HP American Toast, several thick slices of orange-flavored French toast, so sweet and delicious it really did not even need syrup. It was served with both prickly pear and maple syrup and a side of fresh fruit. Normally I would comment on the coffee but I really can’t even remember it, probably because all I can think of is the fabulous meal we had. The staff was attentive and friendly. I would absolutely recommend this place and would return if I’m ever lucky enough to find myself in Sedona again.

My 2 boys, my husband, and I found this little local breakfast nook! Loved the southwest favors. The Simply Complete Meal, The Stack of Prickly Pear Cactus Syrup, Day of The Cowboy Hash and Los Huevos De Castro completed our breakfast order. The Los Huevos De Castro was absolutely the best. I have ever had, and I am vegetarian and I am picky about the food that I eat. And I always order the Huevos rancheros if I see it on the menu and I’m glad I did here! Everyone loved their meal and it was absolutely delicious!!! And everything was phenomenal — the food service and ambiance!

Had their late breakfast… Which is a treat considering you wake up late on vacations… The food was good, Eggs Benedict were really good… The burrito was spot on too, not too oily… The beef empanadas were good too… … A little bit pricey but I don’t mind if the food is good… If I’m in the area, I’ll come back…

A little too buttery Came here for brunch before I headed out of town. It’s a cute quant little restaurant in Uptown Sedona which you can sit on the patio and eat if you want. The staff were all very cheerful, friendly, and attentive. I ordered the cowboy hash. It came w two eggs, corn hash, potatoes, and some salsa. Everything came out beautiful. The hash was tasty, salty(like it should be) and a bit greasy. The eggs were some reason the same way; salty and buttery/greasy. The first several bites were amazing, but after a couple more bites it was just too much oil and salt for me to handle. I had to get a side of bread to balance it out. There was sooo much flavor I didn’t even need or bother to use the salsa.

This place was not busy at all. We was seated and left. No water. No waiter/waitress. After 15 minutes we had a waiter finally come to our table and asking what we wanted to drink. We told him and said we are quite ready to order and he replied, «I have another table in front of you» The waitresses and waiters that we did say looked at us like we were a burden, not even bothering to get us drinks… We walked out! Not recommended.
