It’s our first time coming here. The Tilapia and Prawn Napoleon is phenomenal. I highly recommend it for the seafood lovers. The place is rich in history and makes for a great ambiance.

Both my wife and I had the Filet with the Wild Mushrooms… It was fantastic!!! The muscles were some of the best I have had! The carrot cake was excellent as well! The décor was very nice and you can buy what you see!

We were on vacation and decided to have dinner here at about 7:50 they close at 9pm. When we walked in the Host told us they had no tables available and you needed reservations but when I looked on Unilocal it didn’t say you needed reservations. They had so many tables available I just don’t see how they couldn’t seat us. Even without reservations and a lot of empty tables they couldn’t seat us. I’ll never be back!

This is a wonderful restaurant. The steak, soup, salad, and tilapia were wonderful. The service was great and prices on par with the quality of food. There are many more expensive places in Sedona that don’t have as good a quality of food.

This place was GREAT!!! The prime rib was superb — best I’ve had in a very long time. Others at my table were equally pleased — 3-cheese ravioli, scallops, salmon and strip steak were all perfectly cooked. We were graciously taken care of by Elvis who topped off this memorable evening with a tour of the roadhouse. He was a wealth of information and anecdotes about this historic building and its antiques. What a great evening!

Would not recommend this place. Atmosphere and waitress were the only thing nice about this place. Steaks came out cool, prime ribs and New York strips. They lacked flavor. Went to restroom which lacked any soap or paper towels. Cook also used the restroom right after me. He was in there for 10 minutes so it causes one to be concerned about how sanitary this place is. Way over priced for the food your only paying for the atmosphere. Don’t go here.

This restraunt does NOT even deserve one star!!! On a mini vacation from phoenix with the kids for spring break. We are currently staying at Arroyo Pinion Hotel which the book in the room with the amenities lists room service and Relics is the restraunt so I decided hey kids let’s be lazy and do room service called the restraunt to place my order and he informed me that his busser called out today and he did not have another person there so that he could bring the order to us. We decided whatever we will just walk over and have dinner there then. Got over to the restraunt this older gentleman asked very rudely if we had a reservation we informed him no, we did not know we needed to have one I then went to tell him that I was the one that just called and that he had just told me that pretty much he was the only one there that he could leave to do a room service order… he then proceeds to tell myself and my family to hold on because we don’t have a reservation and he needs to see if he can«fit» us in as if we were an inconvenience to him and his restraunt. Not to mention there were 5 empty tables and it’s a Sunday night at 745pm… The customer service sucked! If you like being treated like shit and like to be made to feel like an inconvenience then by all means this is the place for you! Now sitting at the Barking Frog Grille eating some amazing food and being treated amazing, as if we are the only customers in the restraunt!!! Thank you Justin at Barking Frog your Amazing!!!

Well, I read the reviews and was concerned. I was so wrong. The food was excellent. Our waitress was terrific. I and my girlfriend had the salmon. It was cooked perfect. It was not drowning in sauce. The spinach was fresh sauté. My husband had the talapia. He said it was very good. We were never rushed.

Just had dinner at this amazing piece of history but could only give it 3 stars. The food was great even the bottle of wine we drank paired well with the prime rib. The owner greeted us and even though we didn’t have reservations we were seated within a few moments of arriving. Everything was great except the waiter, now I know people have a bad day but my husband asked for bread two times we never received it also never came to check on water or to ask if we would like another bottle of wine(which I would have purchased if given a chance) I paid a 115.00 tab with cash and asked for change but he never came back apparently a 20%+ tip is what he thought he deserved. My husband and I would like to go back but if we do we will beware of being seated in his section. Really hope it was just an off night for him!!!

I want to give this place more stars but I just can’t. I tried to make reservations via Open Table but it wasn’t working so I called the restaurant. The owner, Joe, took my reservation for 730. He later called to say the latest reservation he would take was 630. I said that was fine it would just end our ski time in the snow bowl early. Open table nor when I called said the restaurant would have a limited menu. Unfortunately this restaurant was not worth the hour drive for us. Once we arrived 2 walk in tables were sat before us and then with us he somehow didn’t have our reservation that I had just made on Monday! The owner proceeded to say«just give me a moment and let me see where I’m going to put you.» Not something you want to hear about your Christmas dinner. Mind you, I was told today was reservation only. There were multiple walk ins taken. Once sat, took almost 20 minutes to get a server, Liz, very rude. They were nearly out of everything on the already limited menu. When I asked what was being substituted for the mashed potatoes since they were out, she snapped back NOTHING, then saw my facial expression and then said«actually let me go check with the kitchen.» The server came back and said they would sub baked potato fries. I asked baked potato or French fries? She barked back NO baked potatoes that are too old to use so they slice them and flash fry them and serve them as fries. Again not something you say to a table!!! We got our food and although not what we came to the restaurant for, was still good. More than halfway through our meals the server finally comes over to ask how everything is. Needless to say she didn’t refill my brothers soda, I had to ask the bartender to do so. Another disappointing factor was the table behind us got 10% off their meal because the restaurant was out of the dishes they wanted but we didn’t get 10%… weird. The bread you are served throughout the meal is amazing though and the bus boy was so good! Tipped him in cash after the meal! Our waters were always filled by him!

After reading the previous reviews we were questioning our decision to try this resto. DONOT do that! We arrived on a cold night w snow on the ground we decided to have dinner at the bar. Bartender Jane was great! She brought us s taste of the soup of the day which was very nice but we were not interested in soup. I had the filet w veggies and potatoes, she had the mussels. We loved everything about the food and service and look forward to returning. The filet was as good as can be. As good as The Palm or Capital Grill, really! Mussels also wonderful with a red broth that was spicy and wonderful with the bread that they baked while we waited. Take your cocktails and tour the place it is fascinating and the food was wonderful!!!

The food and the service was very good, however we had to wait almost an hour for our food. When I approached the manager about the complaint he didn’t care and did nothing.

God bless the owner, and the cool history, but this place needs to hang its hat. Extremely dusty drapery and area rug, made me feel like I was inhaling the bag of a dust buster. I was tempted to pull out a brown lunch bag and start breathing exercises! Not to mention feeling like you’re on top of each other inside a tiny living room dining with random people you can hear every conversation. The service was as if we were in a twilight zone. Have you ever seen that movie«The Hills have eyes?» —Pretty much. Our server was so terrible I can’t even put into vocabulary how bad, and the over animated character of the other server made me feel like I was truly in that movie! My wine was stale, the vegetables weren’t cooked, and literally every table sent their less than quality steak back to be recooked. If it wasn’t for the owner to preserve the last decency of service, we wouldn’t have even left the insulting 5% gratuity.

Great service! The host and wait staff were so welcoming and gracious! Amazing service, great food, reasonable prices, and unique setting! Quaint and most enjoyable atmosphere! I had the salmon and he had the prime rib… Both great choices. Enjoy!

Dinner 06/27/2015: Dinner was delicious! Shrimp Cocktail, Seasonal Purée of Summer Vegetables(Soup du Jour), Tilapia & Prawn Napoleon and cheesecake for dessert. My Mom and I shared –and enjoyed– it all!!! The service was great and many thanks to Rachel, the Manager, for all of the historical information and quick tour. We’ll definitely be back :)

We had a lovely dinner at Relics. We had no clue about the history of the place, but the informative take-home history brochure enlightened us! It is so cool that ‘The Rounders’ was filmed here and that John Wayne and Joan Crawford used to drink at the bar! The food was excellent and the service was even better. We had Marie as our waitress and she was extremely pleasant, very sweet, and did a great job serving us and taking care of us! The décor was really opulent and reminiscent of the Old West. After we had our Prime Rib and cheesecake, we took a tour of the place, and we were really impressed! If you have a chance to go out for a nice dinner in Sedona, we highly recommend Relics!

Recommended by our concierge after failing at getting seats at two other restaurants. The service was great and our waitress made sure we had everything we needed. They give you a complimentary bread basket if requested, as said on the menu. Tilapia and Prawn Napoleon(served with a lemon beurre blanc sauce, layered with mashed potatoes) — The tilapia was super buttery and soft, as was the creamy mashed potatoes. Perfect comfort food for a cold night in Sedona. Slow Roasted Prime Rib — Dad and bro both enjoyed it. I didn’t try it, but it looked really juicy. The baked potato fries were crispy on the outside and potatoey on the inside. I think they bake it and then fry it. Get those as your side. Rainbow Trout Almondine(sliced almonds, orange liquor, seasonal vegetables, rice pilaf) — On the dryer side and has less fishy taste. Nice crunch from the almonds. Pilaf was good. Berry Crostata Tart with ice cream — Warm delicious, flaky pastry with an apple and berry mixture. Expensive at $ 7.50, but I think it’s worth it if you’re a dessert person. Chocolate Lava Cake — Not as good as the Berry Crostata, but moist and chocolatey. Also $ 7.50. Food is expensive but delicious and in large quantities. Service was wonderful. We felt very welcome. The interior looks like the inside of a log cabin. The walls are lined with relics from the old West.

Quick salad and drink at roadhouse. Staff was super nice, quick. $ 10 total for the bill. Quite reasonable and pleasant experience.
