Stayed here July 5 and absolutely loved it. The room was very nice and clean, the hotel was beautiful. Valet/shuttle staff was exceptional, always friendly and went out of their way to help. Enjoyed breakfast but a couple of times our waitress forgot some items(milk, eggs). Pool was supposedly heated but it was freezing! Very nice stay and would definitely recommend to everyone.

Very relaxing atmosphere, live singer was great! Ate apps by fire pit, so we had the bartender serve us, in which she was friendly and prompt. Ordered the hamachi, flat bread, calamari, shrimp wellington. Shrimp was great! Calamari was tooooo salty. We couldn’t eat it. Drinks were ok. The butter was the bomb. It had a lingering sweet aftertaste.

We stayed at the resort and ate breakfast there twice. The make your own omelette was delicious! The waffles were too. But the best was the homemade peach jam was to die for! We will eat there again when were in the area again.

The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outdoors and the setting was great because you have a view of the mountains. They’ve got heat lamps and fire pits that add to making everything fancy fancy. It’s by the pool and the garden so you’ll have people walking by and/or working on their laptops, so I wouldn’t really label outdoor seating as romantic. It’s not a very big menu, but it’s got the classics. I got a filet mignon that came with mashed potatoes, some fancy sauce, and asparagus. I added a side of mushrooms. Everything was amazing and I wanted to lick my plate(I didn’t… that’s clearly not fancy.) The service was polite and the food was great.

Great food, great drinks! I had a drink that was called«vortex“We went for lunch hour and were the only ones there other than the bar crowd. Relaxing and comfortable environment.

Do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere. Our server was nice and efficient but the food is lacking. The shrimp wellington was the worst thing I’ve eaten in years. I couldn’t figure out if it was previously frozen or undercooked. Our server actually recommended it, horrible! The singer was a bit annoying, but whatever. The steak was ok but sides were miserable. I only ate here because we had a food voucher, only to learn later we could have used it toward the bill, wish I had.

We are staying at the resort for a few days and decided to try breakfast out. It’s off season and 15 mins before closing so we were the only ones there. Service was perfect and the food was REALLYGOOD. I had Juevos Rancheros which were served on 2 crispy tortillas with fresh avocado and pico de gallo. My wife had bacon and eggs with potatoes and toast. The red potatoes were he best I’ve ever had! I don’t think you can loose here! Patio dining is dog friendly so if you have you best friend with you he’ll get a nice bowl of water and a treat or two!

2 ½ stars Hip, elegant atmosphere. Terrible wine list! Wedge was a wedge, not great but fine. Artichoke app tasted like something you can buy at your local grocer in a bottle. Filet was alright, needed a bit more sauce since it had no flavor otherwise, was charged an add’l $ 2. Hubby had the stuffed trout. He enjoyed it. I also ordered the heirloom salad. The tomatoes were so under ripe they were as crunchy as celery. I just was not impressed with ANYTHING. It was just alright.

We came up and stayed for the weekend. We decided to stay in for the first night so we choose Hundred Rox for dinner. The service was outstanding! Our server Mary was very helpful but not overbearing. The food was 5 stars all the way. I had the scampi which was cooked to perfection. My wife had the waygu burger with bacon jam. Delish! Highly recommend to all our friends and family. If you are in Sedona it is a must try

We stayed in amara, so had breakfast there once. Service was bad, they did not even acknowledge we were waiting and one of the helping the tables was being rude in general with everyone. We had omelette, Oj and my husband had coffee. The taste was not bad but it was waaaay tooooo greasy. was felling very queasy afterword.

Went to Sedona for our 6th anniversary and had a hell of a time picking a restaurant. We crossed our fingers on Hundred Rox and so so SO glad we did. It was the most amazing experience. Made reservations for sunset, and couldn’t have been happier. We sat outside and the back drop was a huge REDROCK practically in our lap, as the sun was setting an orange and pink glow of the sky… amazing. The food/service was TOPNOTCH. We were constantly tended to, always with pleasantries but not TOO invasive. There was a «band» there, a man playing guitar of slow, romantic music and a woman dancing… really created an amazing ambiance. We started with the Coconut prawns. uhhhm YUMM! I got the stuffed chicken and the bf got the stuffed trout. Both amazing and decent portions size, not too small or too large. We also got a bottle of wine, one of my faves so I couldn’t pass, though may not have been worth the $ 43 but that’s a personal opinion, nothing wrong with the restaurant. Dessert, most times we split but this time the bf was being selfish. He got the Tiramisu and I got the White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake… TODIEFOR. The meal, setting and experience was amazing.

Fancy food. It kinda seemed too common for the price though. The trout stuffed with crab and shrimp — didn’t taste like anything special, although I only tried the trout part. The halibut, which was my dish, was good but, again, not anything spectacular. Duck schnitzel was pretty good. My fav was my sister’s salmon — good flavor. They took a very long time to bring out bread. I ate it with the sauce they brought out with the chicken and black bean roll. Really good sauce.

We went here one early evening during the typical«Happy Hour» time of day, but there were no discounts. That said, we sat out on the patio(nice view) and had 2 rounds of drinks which were way overpriced. Also, the beer selection is very limited. They also had a guitarist playing music which was ok, but every 5 minutes or so he’d stop to try to sell everyone CD’s, which we found to be more than a bit tacky. Can’t comment on the food as we did not eat here, but in looking at the menu, it’s drastically over-priced.

For the price, I would’ve expected better. — Crispy southwestern chicken/black bean roll: 4 stars, great sauce… but $ 10 for 2 rolls is way steep! — Iceberg wedge salad: really refreshing, the Roquefort dressing’s great too — Duck schnitzel(fried breaded duck): 4 stars, the fam liked this — Salmon w/orzo: 4 stars — Halibut: 2 stars, not much flavor — Trout stuffed w/crab & shrimp: 2 of us got this & complained it was waaay too fishy-tasting and didn’t have any sauce(this coming from Asians who love fish… means that it is truly too fishy) I wouldn’t eat here again — just too expensive for the quality of food that we got.

The soup and salads are very fresh and tasty. It does live up to fine dining expectations. The service is excellent for dinner, but the breakfast could be better. The dinner presentation is fantastic and makes you sink in the dining experience. The duck entrée is my favorite, and the enchilladas get a make over .they are surely not your everyday enchiladas! I would go back. the Amara resort is also a great place to stay in Sedona.

I bought a discount certificate for this place on , I would have never known about it otherwise. It is down by the river in a quiet resort. I read very mixed reviews about the service and food. Our experience was a very good one. Rex was our waiter and he was right on top of things, certainly not slow at all. The food was all good. I had to try the pecan crusted Duck breast and I did not regret it at all. Salmon perfectly cooked and my daughters Filet Mignon was tender and generous. Will return for Rex’s favorite, the Rack of Baby back ribs.

I’ve never been led so astray by Unilocalers as Hundred Rox. Avoid it. First, for those suggesting it’s deeply romantic, imagine eating in the courtyard of a chain hotel near a fake fire pit. And if you need to sit inside, you’re going to degrade even further to a drab, impersonal room. The service was entirely, stunningly inept, absent. When we finally got to a seat outdoors we sat for 20 minutes with nothing but our place settings and cold bread and butter. I managed to flag down an employee(it’s not clear who’s a waiter), and asked for a menu. The menu is a Gordon Ramsey Kitchen Nightmare. It ranges from Thai Chicken to Duck Schnitzel(??) to a range of mismatched culinary items. After sitting for another 20 minutes ignored, I managed to flag down a man who referred to himself as the«supervisor». Given the odd menu, I asked for pointers on what’s recommended. He went on to read and declare that nearly every item, especially the seafood, was scrumptious. Thereafter, he walked away, took the order from the table next to us, and disappeared. For the next 30 minutes we sat, completely ignored as if we were in our own personal vortex. Eventually we realized we’d never eat, so after blowing over an hour, we left. At the hostess desk we expressed disappointment. She apologized and suggested we eat up the hill at another restaurant where her husband worked. Thanks. Shockingly useless staff. I realize that writing a review without eating the food is a bit unhelpful to you, but take my word that you can do much better in Sedona.

The ONLY reason this place is getting 2 stars is because the food was good. We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation to a half empty restaurant. It took them over 40 minutes to seat us. Once we were seated NOBODY came to help us for another 20 minutes. There were 4 waiters serving 1 – 2 tables each which was apparently all they could handle. Eventually the bartender came over and asked us for our order. Our food came out cold and we weren’t positive that was how it was suppose to be so we made the bartender feel it and he confirmed it was suppose to be piping hot. At the end we asked to speak with the manager and that took another 20 minutes. He made some excuses and was rather rude. I was excited to try this place but was deeply disappointed with the service. They seemed to cater to the older people, young people not so much!

Dining at the Hundred Rox was perhaps the most romantic dining experience I’ve ever had. We walked in, were seated outside just before sunset, and were immediately dropped into what felt like a fairy tale. As Anthony Mazzella strummed his tunes on the guitar and I gazed at the twinkling lights on the trees and the view ahead of us, it was all I could do not to grin. The guy’s style is indescribable. Electric guitar meets jazz meets world music meets instrumental meets hard rock. Almost like a mellow, Trans-Siberian Orchestra set for solo guitar, with Arabian, sexy Spanish influences. The music was magical, almost surreal. And the food? Pretty damn good. We shared the parmesan encrusted shrimp to start, and the flank steak and turkey meatloaf. The steak and shrimp were delicious, but the turkey meatloaf underwhelming. We finished off the meal with the warm chocolate cake + ice cream. Seriously a perfect date.

A rare hamburger Though my order was confused I liked Hundred Rox —- I came with family and we all ordered hamburgers. I ordered mine medium well and my brother-in-law ordered his rare. Everyone else ordered a medium. However, it was so dark that I ended up with the rare and my brother got the medium well. We didn’t realize until halfway through the meal when we held our burgers up to the candle light. Kind of dark is romantic, pitch black darkness is for ugly people and restaurants that serve maggots. So, two stars off for that, but other than the mishap I really enjoyed Hundred Rox. Yay.
