OMG New Jersey Pizza in Sedona! I’m always leery of eating pizza since we are home to some of the best — stopped here as it was close to where we were going and were simply amazed! Rivals some of the best I’ve ever had! I asked if they deliver to NJ! A must have for those who want true pizza!

Well first off, Me and my family love pizza, salad and good wings. Me and my family recently ventured out to Beautiful Sedona Area to hike the Devils Bridge and when finished were all about Pizza. Seeing the ratings on this place and a coupon I had which i will tell you more about later. We found this little joint very quickly and decided this is the place we eat. Parking was available next door at the closed offices and we tiredly walked around to the pizza place. Once in the door the room is just as pictured below and a big counter for ordering. Once looking at the menu our family of 4 adults and two teenagers, decided on 2 moon dog extreme pizza and 1 big order of wings and cheese fries and dinner salads. As we sat an waited for our pizza we noticed how busy the place was with in coming traffic and the phone just rang off the hook and the delivery driver was in and out. We thought wow must be really great food. After waiting about 20 minutes we asked for our salads since we were from out of town we choose to dine there. Our salads came and were very delicious, Crisp bright green lettuce and fresh mozzarella cheese. we were wowed with the salad at that moment. After 10 more minutes we received our pizza wings and cheese fries in to go boxes and the condiments with plates and plastic forks. We ordered(2) 2 Liter cokes and asked for cups with ice in which we never got but were given the answer we might have some cups and ice in back. So off the teenagers went to circle k around the corner to get thirst busters with lots of ice. Remind you while we are waiting for our food and observing the large volume of traffic that transpired during our wait. My husband has a clear view of the pizza cook whom we found out to be the owner of the pizza place. To my husbands amazement he was disgusted by the pizza cook because he was licking his fingers looking at tickets and then dressing pizza or rolling out the pizza dough. The pizza cook owner was constantly doing this and my husband was getting more and more disgusted. Luckily that was not our pizza the pizza cook owner was making at the time because our pizza was just delivered to our table when my husband observed this. Now for the pizza, we were very hungry and we have two teenagers who are very hungry by this time. We all dig in and take a bite and then take another bite and everyone asked what is the meat on top taste funny. I think it is ground beef, we all agree ground beef. The pizza has so much topping on it that it is hard to eat without falling apart and when that happens there was no much more that 2 drops of sauce, the mushrooms and onions were not even cooked, still raw on pizza. We all decided thumbs down on the pizza and decided it is a version of Walmart pizza that they offer as extreme meat. The cheese fries were just fried fries and mozz. cheese sprinkled on top. Thumbs down on the fries. The hot wings were not fresh but seemed a little dried out. The sauce of the wing is only as good as the chicken wing. Thumbs down on the wings. The salad was the BOMB! I would like to give this place another try with just maybe a pepperoni pizza but we will have to see. About my coupon i tried to use was from 25.00 off a purchase of 50.00 or more, mind you we spent well over 100.00. When asking if we could use it prior to placing order we were told a 20% gratuity will be added to the bill. I was like what! Being they were not a full service restaurant and no one waited on us at all. I choose to not redem the coupon. The gentleman who took our order told the the owner and then they gave us a 10 percent discount off the total bill. That I do appreciate because they did not have to do that but, they should express that to so we are not misled into buying a coupon that would of gave us a 5.00 discount. I will in the future give them another try and see about ordering simple cheese and pepperoni pizza. Because i do love pizza. I hope this helps the company to tweek some of the service and to be careful whom might be watching.

They received numerous awards for best pizzas. Unfortunately those merits do not extend to their sub sandwiches or wings. The order took too long because they’re understaffed. Be careful about using the certificate. There’s a questionable«gratuity» fee of 20% tacked on. I requested my sub toasted and the bread was warm but the meat was cold. Should have gone to Quiznos or Subway. At least there’s consistency and transparency.

Went to Pizza Lisa, OMFG! Ritzy, over priced crappie bread with tomato sauce and cheese and snobby socialites every where. Moon Dogs on the other hand is simple, fast and great pizza. Father and Son business doing it right. So if you want to be served fine wine with your pizza, go across the street. Normal people looking for the real thing, go to Moondogs. The soda comes in cooled cans and two liters with a bucket of ice, served in red and white plastic kegger cups and paper plates. Simple. The pizza. … the pizza is freaking priceless. Great joint. Take the family. Peace out.

Came here with my wife, my father in law, and a family friend. Stopped here on a whim for lunch. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman. He answered all of my questions about the menu and then we placed an order for a large pizza. It was a fantastic pizza with a sweet sauce, with no onions(my wife has an intolerance to onion), and it tasted great. I only wish we had gotten two pies. It wasn’t a cheap pizza but it was well worth the money. If I’m ever in this town again we will be here again.

The 5 star reviews got us to Moondogs. It was packed. Its a tiny pizza place where you get your pizza to go. Our pizza and hot wings were just OK. Not our weekend for great food!!!

After living in Sedona for almost 8 years, I finally tried Moondog’s Pizza. My friend had recommended it, saying it seemed authentically New York-style. I’m from New York, and I don’t really expect New York-style pizza anywhere else, no matter what name the restaurant calls it, but I went out of curiosity and had a couple of slices of pepperoni pizza. My friend was right. Unless my memory is failing me, I can say that the grease and cheese were just right. So was the balance between the amount of sauce and cheese. Moondog’s has a few convenient parking spots in the front. The owner was very personable, and the seating was low-key but comfortable. You order and pay at the counter and pick up your food when it’s ready. There was a large-screen TV playing in the back. I plan to go back.

Just little town goodness. You have to stop in here. Great place. Service is always friendly. Food is always great. I think it is a known staple for Verde Valley Pizza Joints.

Have ordered here several times. Way too expensive for what you get. Tonight I tried to order a pizza ad 10 wings, $ 40 plus delivery and tip. After speaking to the Russian who answers the phone who you can’t understand and she can’t understand you, they transfer you to the American(every time) tonight the eglish speaking man calls back 20min later to explain he apparently listened to my card info and«did nothing» with it and wants it again. Thank you for ruining our night. Never again will I order your over priced garbage out of convenience again. Luckily you have uneducated tourists to keep your business afloat.

Not a typical pizzeria you an call it a joint pizza but good pizza. We order for a pick up and the order was ready when we arrived. Small place like what the other people wrote, more to take out then to stay. 2 types of pizza both of them were good, buffalo tenders were good as well. The crew who was working there very nice as well.

Looking for a pizza delivery while staying at Sky Ranch lodge this weekend we came across this gem. Ordered for delivery a pretty simple cheese pizza and wings(hot). Delivery was quoted 45 minutes was there in 30. Driver was familiar with the hotel and we didn’t have to play phone tag trying to give directions to the room. Wings were hot in flavor but perfect. Pizza was equally as good. Do yourself a favor and of you’re ordering in call these guys!

Short review. Been getting pizza from here for years and I’ve never been disappointed in the quality of their pies. However, the service continues to be subpar and always disappoints. If you dine-in, don’t expect there to be any ice available for your beverages and be prepared to sweat in the small dining area. Great pizza, crappy service.

This was our second visit. We like the pizza and wings. I would suggest take out as it’s not the most comfortable place. The staff has always been nice.

I arrived into Sedona late on a Friday night. I was a bit surprised that many things close up at 10:00 on the weekends. The guy behind the counter was gracious enough to accommodate us with only 10 minutes til close. as for the food… The pizza was good, not great but definitely not bad. My only complaint really was that it was a bit greasy considering we ordered a meatless pie with only cheese. The wings were just ok also. I’ve had better, I’ve had worse. I do give them credit for staying open a bit later to make sure that we went home with full bellies. Thank you for that.

The pizza was not very well made the flavor was no good, but that was not the issue the service was bad, two of the kids working there told me that they would give me the pizzas for free if i gave them my IPhone.

Not bad, not the greatest, just kind of ok. The calzone was decent and their everything pizza was nice too, but it was a bit too greasy. It’s somewhere in between a Papa John’s and a Barros. I’m sure it would have been better if I was drunk.

We checked out Moondog’s after several requests from the hubster to come here for dinner and we both were taken back when we entered the«restaurant». There were 3 two-top tables and 2 four top tables with two refrigeration machines in the back from which you can choose your own single drink. No big deal though, we can go with the flow. We decided we were going to order the food and take it home. My husband’s appetite ordered a 16“pizza with half moondog classic(Pepperoni, Sausage, Onions, Mushrooms, Green Peppers, Black Olives) and half a beefy dog(Extra Pepperoni, Sausage, Beef, Canadian Bacon) in addition to a half order(10) of wings that I wanted. I also asked for«lots of parmesan cheese packets» because usually when I ask for«lots» I get 3 – 4 packets, well Moondog’s gave me 7, #winning. When we got back home and opened the pizza box it was grease city — probably due to the«beefy dog», I still gave it a-go and was immediately disgusted. I ended up taken the toppings/cheese mixture off and opening up my parmesan packets and sprinkled them over the crust and remaining sauce and finished that one and only slice. The crust was good, just not the rest of the toppings, but that’s my husband’s fault not Moondogs. The wings were okay, nothing special, but okay. A big plus about Moondog’s is that they are open later than other food joints in Sedona. I think we will give it another try with a more simple pizza, but all-in-all it was okay.

We waited 2 hours for the delivery and the guy showed up with a smirk on his face and said, «haha, man we’re so busy right now. Uhh, it’ll be $ 60. I don’t have any change by the way». I wouldn’t have written this review if the pizza was delicious; however, I honestly would have rather eaten a pizza lunchables.
