Le dîner était moyen. La quantité est là, comme toujours mais la qualité est plutôt moyenne. Les légumes sont en revanche bons et bien cuits. La décoration n’a rien d’exceptionnelle. Le service en revanche est au rendez-vous.

* Good, clean room/bed/bathroom. Quiet, pleasant stay. * Supermarket, Starbucks, Pisa Lisa Restaurant, all a few steps away. * One young front desk staff with an attitude that can make you forget that the rest of the staff was very polite. * Pet Friendly! Pet fee not mentioned on website is $ 50 per pet, per night. * Imposed resort fee, you may or may not find useful. I’d stay here again, but have second thoughts only because of the snarky young guy at the front desk.

I came here for a spa appointment but wasn’t staying at the hotel. The grounds are pretty and the spa is immaculate and very pretty. They have a beautiful steam room, hot tub and sitting area. I had a hot stone massage with Gilda, she was German and was friendly and did a wonderful job. I have very sore muscle and felt amazing after. The entire experience was wonderful. Thank you!!!

It was a beautiful and wonderful trip… If it wasn’t or the extra fees this place charges… We booked two nights for almost $ 300 but when we got here they told us we had to pay a resort fee. Also we booked a king size bed but I wanted to change to two queens… Of course this isn’t Vegas but I thought slight changes would be comped… they«upgraded» us for an additional $ 10 per night… Yay… Our total two night stay was a lot pricier than expected. We checked in the first night at almost 10pm because… We were coming from far… The room was spacious, honestly expected a little bigger for the price… And it did not have a tub… For a spa resort I thought it would have a tub so we can soak ourselves after hiking through the beautiful canyons with their soaps. The service was impeccable but due to the fact that we went on a monday and tuesday… we were probably the few patrons there hahaha! The front desk delivered a bar soap when I asked. personally haha and there is no ice machine so they deliver it to you. Anything you ask for is given to you hahaha but definitely is included in your extra charge. remember that. On the website it says that we can use the pool area and the steam room but I couldn’t figure out where the steam room was… and plus I was too tired after to look for it but when you’re there please go look for it and use it on behalf of us. They offer a free appetizer at the restaurant. ONE free appetizer with the ticket… or it’s «small dish» but you must purchase something. I, like another reviewer went out of spite to get the small dish because I felt like we were getting over charged. Luckily I did not have a problem with the view or the roof patio. Yes, it was freezing. but my mom and I wanted to have our full vacation experience so we bundled up and went up on the patio to drink our wine. Overall this place was great! I had no complaints, the beds were comfortable and the place was clean. The heater doesn’t go over 80 though… I’m sure they have a reason. Their Wi-fi worked perfectly fine. They give you one free movie heehee. I watched 2 but didn’t finish it… so it won’t get charged HAHAHAAHA I just… really didn’t feel good about the resort fee they charge or tell you when you get there… they should just state it when we book so we know and it doesn’t surprise us. No ones going to turn away from the resort fee of about 20 dollars a day but… it’s just an unpleasant surprise. Beautiful place with amazing views and breath taking canyons… Next time I’ll make sure to plan thoroughly and research more. I recommend… IF you have money to spend. after all it’s a vacation!

I will start with a negative and end on a positive. Upon arriving, we were tacked on a mysterious $ 20 resort fee, and explained that in addition to the rate we had payed it gives us a free app at their restaurant(so it forces you to go out of spite to get some of that 20 back, the spa, pool, etc). We were explained this supposedly gives an edge for competition in the area — in short, their place appears cheaper initially compared to surrounding hotels/resorts, but when you arrive you are forced to pay, what other choice did we have? Didn’t help the staff didn’t have the knowledge to properly explain it, making us feel duped. The fitness center is outdated. On a positive — the food at the restaurant we got lured into had good quality food as a saving grace with excellent staff and wonderful pianist. The room itself was wonderful with an extremely comfortable bed and amazing shower. You can find cheaper and better accommodation elsewhere. It’s a shame, because it left a bad taste to an otherwise beautiful 5 star potential hotel.

This review is mainly for my visit to the Rouge for a 3 – 4 day writing retreat that was being held in two of their big conference rooms. Also for eating in the restaurant. When I was planning my stay in Sedona for a writing retreat, I was given special room rates to stay at the Rouge($ 148 a night discount for retreat attendees). I’m on a strict, smaller budget so I declined and stayed at another hotel a small drive away. The Rouge is a really nice looking hotel. I didn’t get to see any of the room accommodations but the conference rooms with their comfortable chairs, rooftop terrace, and restaurant were very nice. I had the buffet lunch in the Reds restaurant. The lunch was good and filling but of course with myself on a budget, my $ 15 could have been less spent by going across the street to the Safeway or to any other eateries around the area. But the Rouge is an expensive hotel and the price of the food is expected to be high as well. From my point of view, The Rouge was great. The staff was nice and answered any questions I had.

Wow is this place expensive! We stayed here for one night for close to $ 350 per night. Compared to hotels I’ve stayed at in Sedona where the price is closer to $ 150−200/night, the only differences I noted were: — Slightly fancier soaps and shampoos — Fancier ice buckets with tongs — Unique furniture and glassware — Granite countertop bathroom — Turn down service Is that worth another 200 dollars to me? For me it’s not. In terms of noise level, I couldn’t hear any of my neighbors next door, but I could hear some banging of the water pipes and the sound of the shower running from other rooms early in the morning. In addition, the A/C unit was really loud, and the A/C remote very non-intuitive, which meant it took quite a bit of random button mashing to turn it off. The bathroom itself was a large size, but the tiles in the shower were larger than typical shower floor tiles and too smooth, a possible slip hazard. The shower itself was an odd tub/shower combo. On one side was a dedicated tub, and right next to it was the shower head. It seemed like they added the shower head as an afterthought after tiling the entire floor and walls with the same beige smooth tiles. In addition, some of the grout on the bathroom walls had suspicious black spots on it… possible mold? The bed was comfortable and included a light comforter and 4 pillows. I had no problem falling asleep. The TV was a decent size and had a good selection of channels to choose from. Overall, this place is OK but for the price point, I’d rather stay somewhere else.

This used to be my favorite hotel with 5 star rating. Unfortunately I am dropping it to a 3 after my experience last weekend. (1) First off, I love their stand up shower next to the tub. The last few times I was here, they gave us a plastic place mate for use to prevent from slipping. It wasn’t there. (2) When I reach for the complimentary shower items, they mistakenly gave us 2 bottle of lotion rather than the shower gel. I ended up taking a shower with a hand soap. (3) The luggage holder hidden in the closet was broken. One of the screws felt off and obviously it would not hold the luggage. Sigh… (4) The front desk was service by few inexperience teenagers. (5) lastly, their ventilation system in the bathroom was extemely noisy. We can also hear the water pipe shaking when our next door room is taking a shower. Eventually it woke us up 6:30am in the morning. Rating: this is the first hotel I usually make reservation at when I come up here to Sedona. Now… I am not too sure I want to come back again.

This hotel is pet friendly & that’s the main reason I picked it. From the outside its very beautiful with a gorgeous courtyard but the rooms need some work. Everything was clean but the bathroom was old & looked it & the towels were worn out. The furniture could use an update too & the biggest problem was the patio pet area. We happened to be in town when it was raining & our patio was soaked each day of our stay. The grass area was total mush & my dogs couldn’t use it because when they stepped out each day it was a large puddle of mud. This was super inconvenient because we had to leave our room to walk them several times a day. I also paid a lot of extra money to have a pet area but we couldn’t use it. The service was very friendly & the hotel is centrally located. I hope they update the rooms & redo the pet area.
